Lunch special Cheese slices
Matthew W.

My go to treat for lunch. The perfect pizza slices. Crispy crust. Large slices. Great service. Always a hit.

Cheese Slice Pizza tasted too much of burnt.
Indiasky B.

Third time we order and taste and quality of ingredients are consistent! The sauce isn't overly sweet, just right and cheese tastes so yummy. It isn't just mozzarella because it tastes so good!! Would've given 5 stars except our second pie was black, burned and not the best burned flavor :(

Their pizza is really good but the subs have been disappointing, $13 for a sub fries and a drink (which is competitive price) but the last few times there was more lettuce than meat or cheese, one slice of ham today..

No Thank You

No Thank You I have eaten at mediocre places in my time but never have I had such a disgrace. It is like they basically dumped half the bottle of seasoning on these fries. I also tried their Alfredo and it was as plain as Jane. I had to add seasoning myself and I am not big seasons. -10/-10 would not recommend!!!

We had a small pizza, hot eggplant parm sub, a salad and two drinks. Everything was great and the people were so nice to deal with.

All 4 of my friends chose the lasagne , some with, some without extra sauce. Excellent food, generous portions and wonderful service by the incredible Sandy. I ordered eggplant parmigiana to take home for the husband. It is his favorite. He shares so I can tell you that you could taste the quality olive oil in this dish. Superb! I was glad to introduce some friends who hadn't been here before to Marino's. We will be back!

My daughter got spaghetti and meatballs. Her spaghetti looked like the pasta water wasn't drained at all. Spaghetti and sauce just sitting on top of water. She said the meatballs were very delicious though. I got the lasagna with a bowl of Italian Wedding soup. My meal and soup were perfect, I just wish the soup portion wasn't so small. About 4 spoonfuls and it was gone. The portions of our meals though fit the hefty price. We each took our leftovers home and still had enough for almost 2 whole meals each. Our meals came with probably the worst garlic bread I've ever had. First it didn't come out until about 10 minutes into our meal and when it did it was basically hard stale bread. Other than a few green specs I wouldn't have been able to tell you it was garlic bread. Still not sure if was.

My wife had the fish and chips. Food was good and plentiful. Service was very good, ate with some old friends, there was no rush, they gave us plenty of space. The menu is varied, specials are not typical fare, but also do not become science projects like so many "creations" do. The food is left to speak for itself. Affordable. Two small criticisms, can be loud in certain areas. They are very accommodating in moving you. The parking lot. Walking over the bridge can be an issue with cars. Worth the trip.

The broth is rich and deeply savory, the cheese pull is perfect, and the crispy rings add a texture you never knew the classic was missing. The pork chop remains the star of the menu--huge, expertly seasoned, and cooked with precision. It's widely considered the best in the city, and honestly might be the best in the state. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly. Between the inventive dishes and the warm atmosphere, The First Post remains a must-visit for anyone who loves great food done exceptionally well.
