I was gonna order a pizza from here because the reviews were good and the price seemed right. Then when I went to pay I saw they charged almost $3.00 in taxand fees. Very good pizza with lots of quality mozzarella cheese at Memory Lane Pizza. My DH loved it and would give it 5 stars but I thought it needed a little more sauce or a little more seasoning. I sprinkled some garlic powder on my slices and that helped it a lot. I was amazed at how full of cheese it was and how good the cheese tasted. We also ordered onion rings and they were good. Not the very best we've had but good and not overly greasy. This is definitely worth another visit. I'd like to try a sub or a dinner. Our group of 6 church men had lunch here today (after learning that Firehouse Subs was closed). A delightful counter lady, Jasmine took our orders for subs, pizza, burgers, and 1 gent got the lasagna. Food was hot, arrived relatively quickly, and was of good quality. No one had complaints. Only drawback was she charged us for fountain sodas -- at $3 a pop (no pun intended) -- without any of us placing an order for same, nor did she ask if wanted a beverage. Passing through town, so we phoned in the order from the road to pick up and take to the hotel. We ordered a regular cheese steak and a medium sausage, mushroom, Kalamata olive pizza. The cheese steak was gently spiced. It was gooey with real cheese, not sauce, and tender shaved beef with carmelized onions. Delicious. We split it for dinner. PA medium pizzas are the equivalent of CA large pizzas. Usually, when you order olives on a pizza, you get sliced black olives. To get Kalamata olives was a nice surprise! They can be very strong so a few go a long way. They did a great job balancing the flavors! We ate off our pizza for breakfast and a late lunch the next day. It was amazing! I gotta say the majority are meh. I had passed by Memory Lane a number of times. I finally decided to check it out about 3 months ago. I like that the service is always friendly. I've ordered pizza at least 4 times now and each experience has been consistent. I always do carry-out and find that there's plenty of parking. They use fresh mushrooms! That's a big plus in my book! I went on a weekend afternoon/evening and there was not a soul in the restaurant. It was extremely hot outside and upon entering Memory Lane Pizza it felt like they had no Air Conditioning. Either it was broken or owners are too cheap to run it. I also observed the Kitchen Door propped open letting Rats and Roaches come inside freely. We just stopped in for a quick dinner after a long day, it was 8:20pm. They say they are open until 9. I ordered a cheeseburger sub and my boyfriend ordered a chicken caesar wrap. Upon ordering the cashier said we had to take our order with us because the manager said no more dine ins. Fine, (I've worked in restaurants for years and never would have done that with 40 minutes till close but so be it) so we paid and started waiting near the counter - the restaurant was empty except for a table of 3 in the lower part of the dining room. We were then asked to wait for our order in the lower dining room so the cashier could sweep the floor! We got our sandwiches, ate in our car and pulled out of the parking lot, we were finished by 8:45. The food was good, however because of this experience we will not be back. They serve frozen French-fries cooked to perfection; I still believe frozen fries are better than fresh cut, my opinion! I had the Chicken Parm and it was pretty good although I wish they used a different sauce; the sauce seems no different than used on their pizzas. The wife had the Chicken Alfredo which she did not care for. She said the sauce was missing something and very little sauce on the plate and throughout the chicken and pasta. I tasted it and did not taste all that good, no Alfredo taste to it... All-in-all a very clean, friendly place to eat and the prices are about average for this type of eating establishment. I grabbed a sandwich and an order of curly fries here. The curly fries portion was too large and they could really cut down their portion size. The sandwich was just ok and ultimately forgettable. The inside is clean and bright. however, it is hard floors, walls, and windows, with a lot of families with small children echoing noise of all those hard surfaces so this place is very loud to the point I couldn't hear myself think. This place was perfect! Food was great! Staff was friendly and it was overall a great experience! We come up to this area several times a year for hockey tournaments and have been constantly disappointed with the places we take the team for dinner. This place did not disappoint!! We brought our 9 kids and all of their families (35+ people) to Memory Lane and it was excellent! The pizza was good and the lunch special was a decent deal on two large slices. NY style crust. The toppings seemed to be added after the cheese was melted so they fell off the slice, but this negative was resolved by properly folding the slice. Been here a few times and will be returning. There are a few pizza spots in the area that i like but my kids seem to fight me for this spot on our pizza nights which is on Fridays.
