College football Saturday! Pizza and beer time. Gave Ferrante a try based on reviews and pictures…read more The pizza was OK. We had a margarita and a sausage and mushroom. I think they fell down mostly on the marinara. It honestly didn't taste homemade. The highlight of the night was the shrimp appetizer in a bread bowl with creamy scampi sauce. The shrimp were huge, perfectly cooked, and the sauce was delicious on the bread and shrimp. I'd come back just for that.

We picked up 2…read morefilets and a ribeye, which were decent but not the best looking cuts I've ever seen (not the worst either). I assumed the best cuts had sold by the time we got there, but there were still some enticing options. The gentleman who assisted chose our cuts for us (we weren't given the option to choose), and didn't ask what size cuts we were looking for (which is why we ended up with 2 filets - both were very small). The ribeye was on the thinner side with very little marbling and was pre-packaged on styrofoam, which was unusual I thought (used to butcher paper, maybe just me - not a huge deal just seemed like something a small grocery store would do). Overall, not the greatest butcher I've been to, but certainly not the worst either. I'll give them another try and update, maybe just an off day.

I was in about a week ago for the first time. Got some pumpkin truffles which were wonderful, if you like truffles lol. I also got an apple cheesecake square and was surprised to find slices are real apples, not just apple flavoring! I had to try their pumpkin roll, as that's my favorite fall goodie and was pleasantly impressed. It was super moist and had just the right amount of cream cheese. I rounded it all out with some snickerdoodles which were soft and yummy. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and getting a whole pumpkin roll and maybe trying their donuts

It left an icy sensation on the tongue. The second time we had woopie pies and those still had too much sweetner but were tolerable. The third time we bought a few pastries and most were good. If I can't drive three hours to my favorite bakery, it's great to know a diabetic friendly bakery here in York.

Stopped at Stone Grill & Tap House on our way to Baltimore and had a solid, overall decent…read moreexperience. The location is in a business district attached to other shops, and when we visited it was pretty quiet just a handful of other people inside. The space itself is much larger than it looks from the outside. We sat at the bar, which was comfortable and easy. We ordered drinks, shared a crab pretzel, and each had a Caesar salad. My margarita was very tequila-forward not subtle, but honestly fine if you like tequila (I do). The crab pretzel was good, though the crab dip could've used more Old Bay to really bring it home. That said, the Caesar salad was the standout absolutely delicious and easily the best thing we ordered. Pricing felt fair. My bill was $55.01 for two side Caesar salads, a shared crab pretzel, and two drinks. For two people, that's pretty average and reasonable for the area. Everything we had was good and the experience was pleasant overall.
