Finally got to visit Mapa's and it was THE BEST experience!!…read moreI read about the recent opening of Mapa's Boli and knew that this was a place I wanted to support and the food looked absolutely spectacular! I visited yesterday with my partner and a few friends from Lancaster. We got a pepperoni pizza and a spinach and feta Kiki bread (love that name!!) to share and OMG everything was so good! The pie's are very big and great for sharing . They also have a nice selection of baked goods and we were so happy with our meals that we snagged some cinnamon-chip scones and red velvet cookies and well as a nice hemp drink to take home with us. The staff was so warm, welcoming and attentive and the space is great for the community and offers a wide variety of social gatherings for everyone to come to and experience joy, friendship and safety . I absolutely can't wait to go back!

Next time will probably just stick to the ham boats... Always a winner.

So, tonight I stepped out of the box and chose something brand new for moi! DH and I went out with another couple for a yummy dinner and yes ! I did not get lasagne. I ordered Parmesan crusted chicken. It is sauteed chicken breasts breaded with something delish and coated with mozzarella and parm. The two breasts were sitting atop the most delicious fettuccini Alfredo that have ever had. Just amazing!! When i ordered it the server, Avery, said it was her favorite dish on the menu. Might be mine too!!! My meal started with Maryland crab soup. Just the right amount of spice. It was good. DH ordered City Pasta- a delicious blend of chicken breast and sliced sausage with mushrooms, peppers and onions with marinara sauce over penne pasta. Of course I tasted it Yum!! Tomorrow is going to be epic when we share the huge amount of left overs for dinner! Our friends shared a Stromboli and said it was terrific. You can't go wrong at Marino's. Our server, Avery was super and friendly. Always nice people here! If you've never been to Marino 's do yourself favor and get there. You will thank me for it!!

We are perplexed about all of the five-star reviews. We've eaten or taken out five times since…read moreJoe's opened, and every single time, the order was either incorrect, not like it was advertised online, or simply just not very good. :( We chalked it up to growing pains (a new business) and continued to give them another chance. My family are very solid, repeat customers to many local restaurants and have been for decades. We love our small town and appreciate anyone trying to run a business. So much so, that I held off on leaving any negative reviews, and decided that we would speak with our wallets and simply not patronize them anymore. HOWEVER....A few days ago on Facebook, Joe's posted some delicious-looking photos of their trays of catered food. I asked, "Is this your actual food, or are these stock photos?" to which the reply was, "It's our real food." The photos just seemed too perfect, so I did a reverse image search and found those same photos on other Italian restaurant's websites. I now see that those posts have been removed and they have blocked me on Facebook. Really? I've also seen them make negative comments about other local restaurants on their page, and I find this sort of behavior unprofessional and small-minded. I'm sure there will be excuses and a rebuttal, as has been done with the other negative reviews I've seen posted, but I wanted to share my experiences. I wish Joe's Italian Grill the best of luck in the future, but we unfortunately will no longer be customers.
