This is your average pizza shop. They offer slices, sandwiches, and expected appetizers and desserts. I was at Cafe Nine for the night and this was this closest restaurant that was open late. There are a few booths inside and they play general music. Service was quick and actually very friendly. They weren't too busy so I was able to get a slice of chicken bacon ranch almost immediately. The slice was good! I enjoyed the crust which is what I judge pizza by the most lol. I haven't bought a single slice in a while, and my wallet was surprised to hear $5 a slice, but that's priced pretty fair for the area I guess. read more

Love this place! I eat here often, I always get a warm welcome and a friendly smile from whoever is behind the counter. What ever I eat from a slice of pizza to my favorite garlic knots with cheese to my newest favorite. Sicilian baked ziti! It has meatballs and eggplant mixed in! It's so good! I ate it twice a week ago! The loaded fries, chicken parm! I can go on and on. I work next door and sometimes stay very late, I can get something at midnight when I am leaving! Yes, yes, yes! Tuscan Chicken Pasta with (Whole Wheat Penne) was wonderful. The flavor of the sauce was so rich and delicate. Wouldn't recommend normal pasta, it soaks up too much of the sauce and leaves it dry. read more

Got a slice of pizza for my wife and a calazone for myself. The pizza was burnt so much my wife couldn't eat it. I asked for a refund and they nicely said yes to the slice, but refused to refund the calazone. So, here we sit in the restaurant, wasting time because they couldn't cook pizza, waiting for a calazone we know will be bad, and still need to go to another restaurant. I live close by so I've been here 3 times this year. The pizza has no flavor but it's in a very convenient location so I've ordered a few slices and added oregano and cheese for flavor. This place can do it all! I have ordered multiple things from Marco Polo and have never left disappointed. First off, I love how late they are open. It is the best when you have a late night craving for pizza or dessert. The portions are huge and the prices are very cheap. The pasta comes with a side salad and garlic knots and can easily be split with two people. Even the small calzone and pizza are huge portions that can be shared. The dessert here is also immaculate. The only inconvenience was that the delivery time almost took 1.5 hours for a hot chicken cutlets sub and cheeseburger with fries. Beside the delivery been slower than I prefer I would definitely order again next time I'm in New Haven and have to take out. One other thing that I didn't like was that they didn't give us any receipt or napkins. Typically I don't care for the receipt but it was a corporate lunch so a receipt was needed to be reimbursed. This place has become one of my go to delivery spots since social distancing began. It's really become one of my favorites. I find that the quality of the food is really up there; even the standard unapologetically junk food-y appetizers are done with a higher quality. I usually order for the salads, which I find are a great value. They're huge and are super fresh, and have a variety of ingredients. It is very difficult to stand out as a pizza restaurant in pizza headquarters of the world. Marco Polo is in a great location on Crown Street that I walked to from the train station. I was tired and a bit hungry and gave it a chance. I'm glad I did. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pizza was ready quickly. Stopped by Marco Polo after having a drink at Firehouse 12 (next door). Looked like more of a take out place but seating area was well furnished, clean and nicer than other take out places. I had a chicken parm sandwich and my two companions had a small meat lovers pizza and a pepperoni calzone. We were starving but all enjoyed our food. My sandwich was on a hard roll with a side of potato chips...chicken was hot and sauce was great...melted mozz cheese and some parmesan cheese completed my meal. This was our second time ordering from here, the first time was great, and we ordered the same exact thing. The food took an hour to arrive, and when it got here, it wasn't what we ordered. one meal, the buffalo crispy chicken salad, had no buffalo chicken; it was regular chicken instead. it was also cold, and missing dressing. We called, and after some debating with the employees, they delivered the buffalo chicken and dressing. That delivery only took about 15 minutes. Nasty uncooked food.. unprofessional and rude staff. I have been calling everyday for a refund and they tell me the manager is not there. I spent $20 for Buffalo chicken and garlic knots. The chicken was a sponge texture inside, which tells me it's not real chicken some pieces were hard and chewy not edible. Garlic knots In the middle were not cooked all the way. Do not order from this place the staff there take no responsibility or accountability they make mistakes and blame it on the manager that he cooked it so they assume because he cooked it, it came out excellent and the customer Is wrong.
