Incredible. I got pork roll egg and cheese on an everything bagel. I didn't know something so simple could be so flavorful. It was so flavorful I thought a sauce had been added. Bagel was super soft but with a nice doughy chew at the end of a bite. Their eggs are absolute perfection, they're just barely cooked all the way so the yolk inside is almost creamy like a hard boiled egg that's just short of done. My SO got a brisket one on jalapeno cheddar that was equally as awesome. They really are generous with the meat here so I would consider adding an extra egg and extra cheese.

We got here at the right time because we didn't have to wait long to order our get our breakfast. He loved his bagel with lox, and I loved my Mediterranean breakfast bowl. Service was great. It's high on the list of places to return to!!!

Really good prices!! i got a dozen bagels for only $15.99 i believe, but before i got the whole dozen i wanted to taste their lox bagel to see if it was worth the cash, boy it was good! when i went to order the dozen i pretty much got 1 or 2 of every flavor, as well as two of their specialty cream cheeses. cannot wait to live off of bagels for the next week lol. great bagel shop ran by a very caring family!

Made a quick stop here before going to the beach and it seemed like a really popular place! The cashier was really nice and the place was clean and well ran. I ordered a bacon, turkey, cheddar cheese, tomato, cream cheese on an everything bagel toasted. It was pretty good, a little pricey than other places I've been. It came with a side of chips as well. They had a lot of cream cheese flavors which would have been fun to try as well. My friend also tried their Bearclaw but said it wasn't very flakey overall but they had a lot of other baked goods that looked pretty good. Overall not a bad stop for a bagel for the beach since it's really close

When we arrived there was a line out the door ! That tells you something! We honestly didn't wait too long and the food was worth it ! This place was so good !!! You get enough food ! I got a buster belly on a bagel and man it was so amazing to where I had to write a review ! I'll be back when I come back to the keys ! Just a heads up not a lot of seats but the food is so delicious! We also got the belly buster on a garlic herb wrap and that was good too !!!

Stopped by for a late lunch/ brunch today. The are open early and close at 2. The place was buzzing throughout our time here. They seem to be a local hangout spot - Isaw the owner couple greet several people by name. The line was long but moved quickly. Ragz got the Portuguese burrito and really enjoyed it. It's a good size and pretty chock filled with eggs and chorizo. I got the 2 egg and cheese sandwich on an onion bagel ( they were out of everything bagels at around 1130 am). My bagel was okay - I'm very picky about bagels and thought this one wasn't chewy enough. The onions on my onion bagel were only on top of the bagel and I didn't taste it throughout the bagel either. The egg was tasty, the American cheese was honesty tasteless - bit of a bummer. We also shared the crumb cake. The cake part of it was really good - light and fluffy. The crumb topping wasn't great - too hard, a very thick layer and just hard to eat. All I tasted was sugar and more sugar. We ended up turning the cake upside down and eating just the sponge. Overall, the place was decent and a tad bit pricey ( we paid $24 for our 2 dishes and cake). I'd likely come again in a pinch, but I didn't feel it was anything to write home about.

Upon entering you can tell by the long line of locals that this place isn't going to disappoint. Waited a few min for my bagel and it was delicious! Only thing is they added avocado which I didn't ask for. I paid extra for it and it's not my fave in a bagel but it was very very good!

Nice place, lady was very sweet, ok prices, and a very tasty bagel. Wasn't sure what to expect walking into the place but the bagels did not disappoint. I got a pork roll, egg and cheese on a sesame bagel. Very very good, my wife got the locks bagel on everything. Would highly recommend. I left with a dozen bagels they, and the lady even tossed in a few extra. Very good experience.

The food was good, served with a smile. However, at the register, there is a sign reminding you to tip correctly. They don't bring you your coffee or orange juice; it's self-serve. You also have to throw away the trash on your way out. Moreover, there isn't much seating available. read more

I never thought I'd be writing a review for a bagel place let alone 5 stars but here we are. I'm pretty well traveled ; I've had my fair share of bagels....I've never had a bagel like this. I know it's a bagel right who cares? Well you'll care after this one. You'll care a lot. The only thing I'm pretty upset about is that I live on the mainland so these will be about an hour & a half drive to get but I see myself doing it. They're so fresh, light, just perfect. Also they're very pro LEOs & have a wall with all the patches so that means a lot to us. Will definitely be back. read more

Fantastic! I'm originally from Jersey and these bagels are the best I've found in Florida. They remind me of a place I ate periodically growing up in my Jersey hometown. Family-owned and very friendly. I went 3 times for breakfast during my 5 day stay in Marathon and am sad I won't find another good bagel place comparable at home in Tampa. read more

Save yourself the time and don't stop at Marathon Bagel. I ordered an iced hazelnut coffee. Black. They brought a light coffee. When I inquired about the light color they replied that the hazelnut flavoring I'd a cream so there is no way to make it different. I then informed him that I specifically said I didn't want cream. His reply was, "I am sorry about that" and walked away. So I had to throw away the coffee I ordered and paid for. read more

We were visiting Marathon from Colorado this week and happened to stumble upon MB! After we had our first bagel we came back the next two days of our trip. Since we had just been flying a few days before we tried to be cautious in keeping everyone around us safe so we looked for restaurants where carryout was accessible. Marathon Bagels is a fast and delicious breakfast for anyone looking for a fast carryout option during this pandemic. All the staff wore masks and there are signs that remind guests to wear their masks as well. We are thinking of purchasing a sail boat here and we can't wait to come back to this spot many more times!! All the staff was incredibly friendly and (who we assumed) the owner was very pleasant as well! Try the pork belly bagel! It was amazing! All the bagels are tasty so you can't go wrong! read more

To begin, concisely, Marathon Bagel is a sparkling gem. The moment I walked in, the smell was right, the energy was right, everything just felt *correct* Allow me to explain- I grew up about an hour north of Philadelphia, close to New Jersey, about 90 miles south of New York City. A hotspot for bagel culture. Truly in the center of bagel heaven. So when searching for bagels in other places, I face obvious apprehension. Marathon Bagel was not only run by an exceptionally friendly and efficient staff, but the FOOD. It was perfect. I got a Nova Lox bagel that stood proudly among the ranks of my favorite bagels from back home. I will certainly return again during my trip, and will undoubtedly return on future trips to the Keys. Thank you, Marathon bagel. For making this Philly girl smile from ear to ear in the place she least expected. I unfortunately can't post a picture because I ate my bagel immediately, in completely silent bliss. But I promise it was beautiful. read more

Ok, This is the second time I've been here.... First.... this is suuuch a South Florida/Keys move... Take your phone off the hook when you don't want to deal with orders. I tried from Summerland Key to the store to order ahead so I wasn't stuck in a tiny deli with 30 other mask less people during this pandemic. As for the bagel ... I asked not once but 4 times for the same thing everything bagel with cream cheese tomato and onion...and bacon.... "can't find the button for only bacon" Fine drop the bacon... 4 times What did I get? Bagel with cream cheese tomato an egg and pork belly. I threw it out on the highway Good job guys read more

Well let's just start by saying in 23 years of vacationing here my daughter came here two years ago and I didn't think nothing of it, this year my wife says let's try it and here we are. Awesome service, the food options are fantastic and the freshness is spot on. Then I notice on the wall the LEO patches and for sure knew I was in the right place. As a former LEO I love supporting other LEO owned or LEO friendly places. I spotted who I thought was the owner and told my wife "I bet he's retired or former LEO", great job if you were. Long wait in line. I really expected the beagle sandwich would be great with a line like that. We grabbed these for the rode. Got out order and off we went. My sandwich was to be meat egg and cheese. Overall a pretty good breakfast spot in Florida. Unique cream cheese and many flavors. I got a sandwich with egg, cheese and sausage l. Wonderful way to start the morning. The only problem I have with this place is the whole payment situation. I preferred payed and then waited. When I went to get my bagels the chef realized that they didn't charge charge me 2 dollars. I was fine with paying it but the lady who forgot to charge was then annoyed but, she was the one who forgot to charge me. I can't harp on this to hard though because she seemed stressed and I didn't want to add to it. I would recommend this place if you have patients for the line and people. read more

After 3 days of partying in Key West, this place was the perfect stop to fuel up for the long drive home! I had a pretty good basis for comparison because my cousins had brought me down some bagels from New York the week prior.... and who's going to argue with the fact the New York bagels are the standard by which all bagels should be compared? Well they're not quite New York, they're pretty close. Another cool thing about Marathon bagel is they are very wide selection of cream cheese. I actually think they have more varieties of cream cheese then they do varieties of bagels. I had the sun dried tomato. It was good. Pretty good coffee too. Tip: It's in the shopping plaza behind some other stores at the northern end of the plaza. read more

Was really looking forward to trying this place because of the 5 star reviews. Had to rate it a 3 because of the snotty service. The food is a 4 star, but having been in the hospitality business for over 20 years, service makes an impact, as a first time customer. I don't expect people to be overly nice, but certainly don't expect to feel like a bother as a paying guest. Rude service is never ok and we will stop elsewhere next time. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Fresh bagels, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, deli sandwiches, all types of cream cheese available (even oreo)... I had a breakfast bagel sandwich called the "Belly Buster." Luckily there were no gastric injuries and this thing was huge and delicious. It is a bagel with eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, hash browns!! Delicious!! My wife had an egg and cheese bagel as well, and she thought it was delicious. We even tried just a plain, untoasted bagel (like the purists) and it was great. Slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Just like a NY bagel! If we are ever back in Marathon, we will definitely hit this place up again!! read more

Yummy! Homemade deliciousness, just like mom makes! Try their chorizo. Go to Curly's next door if you want gourmet coffee. Best bagel from Marathon to Key West! The whole family agreed! Have to believe that the owner runs a tight ship. When my order was delayed for an unknown reason (the customer after me got his very similar order before me), she put the pressure on her staff to get moving - and move they did. My bagel was in my hand in a matter of seconds. You can tell that she takes pride in providing top customer service - her patience and "coaching" first-time customers was commendable! read more

The gentleman who owns it bills himself as grouchy and surly, but we weren't fooled. He's clearly passionate about his business, his cat, and his coffee, including commissioning his own personal blend from a local roaster. Our lattes were smooth and delicious (almond and oat milk). Although pricing is pretty reasonable, especially for the Keys, I do wish they didn't charge extra for plant based milks. WIFI is available with a $5 purchase, and there is a variety of books to browse and/or buy while enjoying a coffee or pastry.

About halfway through our meal the owner? manager? started screaming at a table of customers. She said they had been disrespectful to her the day before and again that day, so she demanded they leave and told them their food was on the house. It was Waffle House level of drama, which we didn't expect from sleepy Marathon, FL. The rest of the employees didn't seem phased, so maybe this isn't a rare occurrence? It's worth a try if you want a place that's more locals than tourists, and the food is pretty decent... but be on your best behavior! :)

Absolutely no complaints about the food or service. The cocktails left a little to be desired however; very small cups that we found lacking in flavor, but they looked tropical. Otherwise, everything was great and we'd definitely visit again.

I had already loaded my plate when I discovered the made to order omelette station. Luckily the scrambled eggs were pretty good so I didn't bother with the omelette. In comparison to other hotel breakfast buffets the food was slightly better than average. Service was great and my waiter immediately greeted me with coffee and orange juice. Loved the generous glass of orange juice, but the coffee wasn't great. If you are staying at Hawk's Cay Resort this breakfast buffet is slightly cheaper than ordering room service at the hotel, but I would skip dining here if you have the option to cook your own breakfast in your villa.

I freaking love this place so much. I go there so often since I work at the dollar tree next door. The staff there basically knows me by heart at this point. They are so sweet. They work so hard to make everyone's food perfect. Never underestimate them especially on a busy day. They work so fast it's amazing. For any new people in Florida definitely try this bagel shop out. They are flexible with their food items. If you got any allergies they are flexible. Just give them a heads up and they can help you out. I'm originally from Long Island New York and moved down here back in 2020. Their bagels remind me of New York. I'm never going to stop going there unless they close down. Then I would be very upset. They are the one of the only reasons I get up in the morning to eat a proper breakfast. If the owner is reading this thank you for having the best bagel shop in Florida. Your food is delicious. I don't usually leave reviews, but this place earned it -- and not in a good way. The bagels here are so bland, dry, and forgettable that I genuinely wish I had gone to McDonald's instead. Yes, McDonald's. Their bagel sandwiches are miles better than whatever this place is trying to pass off as "fresh." At least they're warm, consistent, and come without the unnecessary attitude. Speaking of which -- the woman at the counter clearly hates her job, or maybe just people in general. I placed a basic, polite order and she shot back with a sarcastic "Really original," like I was personally inconveniencing her by daring to order food. If this is how you treat paying customers, I'm shocked you're still in business. This place has nothing going for it -- not the food, not the service, not the atmosphere. If you're craving a bagel, skip the trip and hit a drive-thru. You'll save time, money, and a hit to your dignity. read more

Recently stopped here for breakfast around 9AM. I've been several times with varying results, though that will probably be my last. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. When I received my order the bagel had clearly been completed long before the rest of the food (Luke warm and going cold) and the bacon was burnt to the point of nearly being inedible. Not to mention I was literally shoved out of the way while in line by who I believe to be the owner (bald guy with facial hair I almost always see there) without as so much as a word in my direction. Dunkin Donuts the next day was better... Not the first poor quality meal from there, not really worth the chance of an extremely sub par breakfast sandwich, to me. read more

Marathon Bagel is a fantastic shop that never disappoints! They offer an excellent selection of bagels with plenty of options for cream cheese and specialty sandwiches. My personal favorite is the strawberry cream cheese -- it's delicious! I love having it toasted with just a bit of butter and a touch of cream cheese since I prefer not to overload it. One thing to keep in mind is that they don't cut the bagels, so if you like your bagels cut in half, be sure to request that when you order. Overall, this place is a must-visit for any bagel lover. It was surprisingly difficult finding places for breakfast in Marathon. We visited during the week before Thanksgiving in order to have fewer crowds... what we found were fewer breakfast spots. Thank goodness for Marathon Bagel! Fresh, delicious bagels with a good chew to them and one of the best crumb cakes I've ever had. The brown sugar topping was at least 1" thick on top of a moist, buttery cake. Reminded me of Hostess Crumb Cakes but so much better! Decently priced, clean and terrific portion sizes. read more

From the amount of people at the store we thought this would be great. First the lady at the register had no idea what they had available we had to change the order about 4 times. Everything was wrong with the order the bagel wasn't toasted the bagel was the wrong flavor and the side was not the side we ordered. We also got a toast instead of a bagel!!! I got the Greek bowl which is made with 3 eggs, tomato onion spinach and feta cheese. My hubby had a Nova and cream cheese sandwich on a everything bagel with capers onion and tomato . Great prices .
