Marao Burgers on Broadway Everett is a bit deceiving. It's located inside a gas stations convenience store. I had the pleasure of stopping in one day while I believe the owner was there at at least a high-end manager. I ordered a few burgers and fries to go. While I was waiting the manager/owner and I were having a nice conversation and he gave me some samples of the fried chicken for free. This was a well appreciated. Surprise as I was starving. The fried chicken was delicious. Had some great crunch. The flavors were amazing and cooked to perfection. When I got home, the burgers and fries were delicious also. They definitely use a good quality meat because it was actually a beef burger. 100% I would go back for the chicken and the burgers. The pricing is a little higher than most of the restaurants but worth every penny. This is definitely a mom and pop type organization, and I highly suggest that you support them. The food is impeccable. The people working there are very nice polite and willing to answer all questions about the Brazilian style foods. as for cleanliness, the restaurant and the interior of the convenience store were very clean. One word to describe this place is nostalgia! This is the place for the full Brazilian burger experience. I know this place has mixed reviews but the food is good. It's authentic Brazilian style "fast" food. We ordered from Ubereats and had no issues with service. Got a x-egg bacon, onion rings, french fries and chicken fingers. The x-egg was delicious, perfect, very well seasoned meat, stuffed with toppings. Served in a plastic bag, the way it should be. It was super saucy from a very generous amount of Mayo, if you don't like mayo definitely ask them to skip the Mayo. Speaking of Mayo, their green homemade Mayo is out of this world, really flavorful. Fries and onion rings were good, good portions, good flavors, fresh. Chicken fingers were ok, but overdone and dry. My experience happened at their Saugus location, but I feel like I need to share and people should know what happens inside of their workplace. I am extremely sad and upset after watching how the owner/boss treats his team. I witnessed him verbally attacking some of his employees, throwing objects on the floor without any embarrassment. not only did he mistreat the employees who were working inside (kitchen) where customers do not have access (vision), but we can hear, he was extremely rude to his employees who are on the front line serving customers. The quality of his food is indisputable, but I will not return after witnessing how he mistreats human beings who are "below" him, by hierarchy. I noticed that he is not a leader, but simply an establishment owner. he doesn't know how to deal with people, and what I saw was extremely unpleasant and disgusted me. read more
