I don't know if you need to walk In or if you need to leave specific instructions when you call but the chicken here is extremely hit or miss. I order the chicken finger dinner ,sometimes it's exactly what you would picture tenders to look like and then other times they put In the most bottom of the barrel pieces of chicken that are deformed with texture that is off if I'm ordering saucy tenders I would expect them to be soft and TENDER not hard/crunchy. it's like some days you throw in real tenders and other days you say fuck it and throw in whatever like I don't understand the quality consistency over there not to mention their matching six flags's prices for some tenders and fries like yes totally should be paying 30 dollars for half assed chicken read more

I don't even know how to describe the phone call we just had with this location. When we called to place an order we were given a problem being told we were unable to place an order over $50 and needing a credit card over the phone. This resulted in us having to place individual orders. When calling to place our order, we got disconnected mid call. When we called back to continue the phone call we were told we couldn't place an order, because we had already placed an order. We tried to explain that we got disconnected and we could hear the woman on the phone discussing what to do with someone else. They attempted to explain to us we couldn't place to orders, while we were saying that we never finished placing the order in the first place. In total, we had to repeat our order for them 3 times. I am Absolutely Disappointed at how the quality of the ingredients in their Greek food. They used to have a delightfully tasty and high quality Feta cheese in which they used to drown their salads in. I'm not entirely sure what they substituted it with is real feta. Also , The Tzatziki sauce in their Gyros seems now more like a watered down miracle whip salad dressing. No flavor nothing much to it. This was a great place down the street from us when we lived in Winthrop. Quick delivery or pickup options. The menu is massive much like the many other restaurants with similar style, but there is just something top-notch about this Nick's. I don't think there was a single miss on their menu, and we tried quite a bit of it from pizzas to bowls to dinners and more. The "Beat the Clock" pizza deal here is absolutely insane! Every Monday a large cheese pizza pie can range between $4-$9 dependent on the time that you call in for the pie. If you order at 4pm, it's $4. If you order at 5:30, it's $5.30, and so on. Such a brilliant concept! We came in a little after 4pm to pick up a pie and ordering was super easy. They already had stacks and stacks of large pizza pies ready to be picked up. Immediately after ordering we were handed a pie and we were on our way, pizza in hand! Food: The pizza itself isn't anything to write home about (the crust was on the thicker side which isnt my fav) however, the quality is better than I would expect given the price. This place was absolutely amazing. We came with a big group and had fantastic service and food. Some of the best north shore beef I've had, layers of rare roast beef piled high on a warm toasted onion roll. Other orders included steak and cheese, turkey tips, calzones, and everyone loved their orders. Portions are large! The side salad and junior calzone are both large and in charge. You order at the register and they bring it out to you. Our server was so nice bringing out lots of food and making adjustments as needed. They offered to take our picture and brought out bowls of complimentary dessert. It really was a great experience and of the 5 days I spent in this area Nick's Place had the best service, most diverse menu (everything from pizza to swordfish to prime rib) and most importantly, the most delicious food! I ordered pizzas at the window when I saw the Monday special. I happily took my original order to wait the approx 30 min in a parking spot. As I am thoroughly enjoying avgolemeno(Greek egg and lemon soup with chicken)easily reminiscent me of the way my yiayia made it the staff is at my window with my additional pizza order about 5 minutes after ordering!!! Nick 's is my neighborhood pizza shop. It was the first restaurant I ordered from the day I moved in and it's remained in regular rotation ever since. Their pizza is just that good. They offer regular specials and their prices are very reasonable. The few times I have eaten in, the staff have been very kind. Their antipasto salad is massive and totally worth the price I love the fried dough bites but they are definitely party sized so it's a lot for 2 or even 4 people!. Desserts are great too. The four of us shared mozzarella sticks, a fried calamari basket with a side of onion rings, and a fried scallops basket with a side of onion rings. Clearly, we were really praying for delicious rings. To our dismay, the onion rings were very disappointing - they were flavorless. The mozzarella sticks were also a bit of a disappointment. On the other hand, I was a fan of the calamari and scallops! I would recommend sticking to the seafood and skipping the rest. Overall, we didn't get what we were looking for. Nick's is a quick, convenient place to grab food in Winthrop. They have a menu with a wide variety of food. I have placed an order over the phone as well as online and both times it was no hassle, and they have a drive through so it's easy to pick up your food! The food is pretty good, but I think that the price is a little high for the quality of the food. They do provide generous portions however. I would still come back and order food but I don't think it would become one of my favorite spots. read more
