Valentine's Day pizza

The food is delicious. They have options for everyone. The portions are perfect. The service is great and the owner is friendly. Location was remodeled from what it looked like with previous ownership. Nice and clean and they decorate seasonally. Definitely recommend.

If you like soggy wings and getting a small cup of blue cheese with your large order, this is your spot. Pizza is meh

Home of the big slice.

Woody's us the home of the BIG SLICE. which in reality is 1/4 of a pizza. So yes it is a big slice and priced at $2.95 per slice it's a pretty darn good value too. They also make sandwiches, subs, calzone, quesadillas, pasta dishes, burritos, salads and a bunch of appetizers. There are about a 1/2 dozen tables and a tv, but it is really low key. Take out is available. Parking is basically where ever you can score a spot. The pizza parlor is located diagonally across from Orient Heights MBTA station.

Cheese Pizza

Pizza next to a liquor store might seem like 2am food, but it turned out to be pretty good. We just went for the large cheese pizza which was a little over $10. How can you beat that in Boston? So after a day at the park we were craving some food but didn't want to go home and cook, so we walked down the street and had passed Woodys a bunch of times. They're fast, everything is cooked fresh and it's a family owned place. They have plenty of different items on their menu and of course during COVID they are only doing take out for the time being. It's really close to Constitution beach, so after a long day of being in the sun it's a good way to get some grub. This isn't a gourmet pizza place, but it's really good for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anybody in the area looking for a deal.

Large meat lover's pizza

Outstanding pizza at a very reasonable price. Hotel desk clerk recommended it and I'm glad she did. We got a large meat lover's pizza and it was more than enough for our group. I was impressed with the friendly staff also! Five stars for sure.

They have decent pizza, their service sucks. They pick up the phone when they feel like it. The owner needs to find better workers.

Crust was thin - a little floppy in the middle and blistered on the edges with a dusting of cornmeal on the bottom. Didn't have too much taste to it. Space was straight up no frills, cozy Eastie that hasn't changed for a long time. We ordered online at 3:30 on a Sunday and it was ready in 25 mins. It was pretty good pizza - I don't fully understand the hype, but made my Logan pickup more enjoyable.

Even though I was born and raised in the Boston area and have resided here for the entirety of my three decade long life, I've never had the original Santarpio's pizza until just now. I remember eating at their second location on Route 1 not long after it opened, but I thought it was just okay. Ever since then I've always thought to myself, "the original has gotta be better, right?" Well, my boyfriend and I finally made our way to the original Santarpio's on a Saturday a little after noon. The place isn't much to look at but was hopping for the weekend lunch rush with almost every table full, and we got put in what appeared to be one of the last available tables in the place. Our order was taken very quickly after sitting down. The menu is strictly pizza with around a dozen toppings to choose from and a handful of grilled meats. That's it. We ordered a pizza with garlic and hot peppers as well as a steak tip skewer. The steak tips were juicy and cooked nicely, but they tasted like they lacked seasoning or marinade so I had to sprinkle some salt and pepper on them. Of course, the pizza is what we were really there for and I can tell you that it checks all the boxes for a classic pizza. The crust is on the thinner, crispier side which I actually prefer. The pie as a whole had a great color and good flavor between the cheese, sauce and toppings. After experiencing it for myself, it's pretty easy to understand why Santarpio's is so highly regarded in the world of pizza. They stick to what they know and they execute it well.

Back at Yvonne's for the second time, and it won't be my last! This is such a beautiful, romantic…read morespeakeasy-style restaurant with an intimate, moody atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. I came with a group of four, which I highly recommend because the menu is designed for sharing. We ordered several dishes so we could try a little bit of everything. The crab beignets were probably my least favorite and something I'd skip next time, but the seared halloumi was delicious, the Lazy Lobster Dumplings were a MUST, and the Mediterranean Chicken was so flavorful and satisfying. And then there's the Prime Rib Chop, absolutely cannot come here without ordering it. It was easily top 5 best steak I've ever had! For dessert we tried the creme brûlée , the cheesecake and the carrot cake- honestly they were all unique and great. Yvonne's is definitely pricey, but I think it's worth it for the food, ambiance, and overall experience. Come with a group, share a bunch of plates, order the Prime Rib Chop and lobster dumplings, and enjoy the night. This is the kind of place that feels perfect for a special occasion or a romantic night out.

Luckily, they have a grace period of 15 minutes so it was not a problem that we were about 10 minutes late. The restaurant was loud and busy. I didn't mind the volume but some people surely would. It's dark inside, so the kind of place that some people would need to put on their readers and use their phone's flashlight to read the menu. Over the course of the night, each of us got 2 drinks. Altogether, the drinks we chose were the Icarus, the passionfruit mule, and we each got an espresso martini. No complaints, all were delicious. We were a bit overwhelmed by the options but luckily our server was very informative. Told us what he recommends and what's popular. We went with the crispy tater cubes, the lazy lobster dumplings, the bavette steak mirabeau, and the brussels sprouts. My ranking of how much I liked them would be the steak, the dumplings, the tater cubes, and then the brussels sprouts. That's not to say I didn't enjoy the brussels sprouts, but the steak and dumplings were especially good. Beware, the servings are quite small. So if you have a large party, prepare to order quite a bit. The prices aren't terribly unreasonable for most of the dishes, but it adds up fast. We still had some room for dessert, and my wife very much wanted to try the baked alaska. She didn't even know what it was, but her interest was piqued by photos online as well as seeing other tables order it. We ordered the half baked alaska, and were both very satisfied with it. All in all, we were happy with Yvonne's. When you come in, realize that you're probably gonna be spending quite a bit of cash. But we were satisfied.
