We had an avocado poached egg over toast with asparagus and a lemony hollandaise type sauce. It was very nice. One piece with two eggs. Lots of avocado which was nice. They make a fresh pressed juice in a to go container which is nice. Huge cookies. You order at the counter and take it to sit which it nice. They came around for dirty dishes promptly. It has a nice casual atmosphere. It's a short walk from the convention center hotels. See pics read more

I wish I had more time in Cincinnati to have dined here for lunch or dinner. Loved the decor and the wait staff. But if you have an hour to indulge for cocktails and snacks during Happy Hour, you'll enjoy the special drink and food prices, like I did. I sat at the bar and loved every minute of it. Can't wait to return and enjoy the full menu! read more

Awesome stuff. Super friendly and fast service Great coffee! Did I mention the really good coffee?

Excellent food, coffee, and ambiance. Only thing I'd improve are the number of people who were taking orders at the counter.

Great menu with lots of healthy options, quick service, quality ingredients, and lots of beverage options from coffee drinks to cocktails to cold pressed juices. I came here for a quick work lunch between meetings and it was so nice to be able to quickly order and get my food. I was able to take my time eating and not feel stressed for time. The salads and bowls all sounded so great but the Vegan Power Bowl ingredients sounded the best. However, I am not vegan and I wanted something high in protein, so I added salmon to my bowl, as well as goat cheese because I love it. My bowl came with two skewers of grilled salmon and it was cooked so perfectly! All of the ingredients were fresh and went together so well. I left feeling full and also great that I had filled up on something healthy and energizing. I like that water pitchers are available so that I can bring one (or multiple) to the table with me vs. having to get up multiple times to fill my glass. I ordered an iced vanilla latte to go as an afternoon pick me up and sweet treat to get through my afternoon meeting, and it was delicious and just what I needed! I will definitely be back but I do wish there was another location closer to home. If there was, I would be there weekly! read more

What a wonderful experience even though there was a little hiccup in my to-go order! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the manager refunded my entire bill because of this hiccup! The food was very well prepared and tasted wonderful, so many flavors in one dish! I'm an out of towner but will most definitely be back if I come to Cincinnati again read more

The wait varies depending on time of day and events but even on a big game day we were through the line and seated within 30 mins. I typically get a sandwich but tried the chicken hash this time and will never look back. My girlfriend and I also split and everything toast which was a tad salty for me but gf loved it! The lemon ricotta pancakes are her go to and I always steal a few bites. We topped the meal with vanilla lattes and fresh Oj. Can't wait to go back! My out-of-town parents and in laws are sure to enjoy as well. Select on street parking but a public garage attached to the restaurant. *Also great natural light read more

Was visiting Cincinnati on a business trip and was staying at the Hilton nearby... decided to try out this place for dinner and it's a less than 3 min walk from the Hilton. My first experience at this restaurant was amazing. I ordered the Chopped Salad with Pulled Rotisserie Chicken as my protein. Definitely, on a rather expensive side, this meal cost me $18! It was compensated by the portion size, but I wish the portions and cost were a little lesser. The description of chopped salad said, it would have roasted beets - I didn't get any! Also, I wish that the Pulled Rotisserie Chicken was a little warm. It was cold and a little on the chewy side so was a little difficult to eat towards the end. The salad itself was quite amazing. Service was excellent. My first experience with a table locator device/service. The place itself has good ambience. read more

Wow! There is something for EVERYONE at Maplewood. And you can be sure that you will be receiving the best food because they only use the highest quality of ingredients. Their menu is pretty diverse - so whatever you are in the mood for, you can find. They use the freshest and organic ingredients in their dishes, so you can be rest assured that no matter what you order off the menu, it will be a high quality dish. My personal favorite are the salads and the Benedict. The salads are HUGE in portions... you can always count on taking half home. In addition to a great food menu, they also have a bar where you can order a draft beer or a specialty cocktail. They also have fresh juices if you want an extra splash of flavor with your meal. It is extremely family friendly. It is great for a date night... whatever you are out and about doing, Maplewood will be a great spot. Come early on the weekends or be prepared to wait - I have seen the line out the door & around the block before. But, don't worry! It goes fast. Maplewood is one of the best fast casual restaurants I have ever been to. You won't be disappointed! read more

Maplewood - Caesar salad - very good - has pickled onions on it though - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Not a vey large menu, but all we ordered was quite tasty! Chicken tika, grilled cheese, and a basic breakfast. The coffee was nothing special - same as what my hotel was serving with the free breakfast! The long was LONG, but moved somewhat steadily. The whole wait in-line - order - wait in line again to be seated was confusing, and it seemed like one guys entire job was asking people seated at tables if they had already ordered. Perhaps a sign in the waiting-to-order line to explain the process would help? All in all, we would go back when it was less busy, but certainly would not wait in a line out the door! read more

My wife and I frequent Maplewood on the weekends for brunch. There are many options in downtown/OTR/northern Kentucky for breakfast on the weekends, but Maplewood is our favorite. The menu has a nice variety of American breakfast options, as well as healthier alternatives. We love the Guajillo Bowl and Mediterranean Bowl, but the Maplewood Hash is also delicious if you are in the mood for something a little heavier. The GM, Erik, often recognizes us and welcomes us back. Erik and his staff always do a great job with service, and mitigating the crowded weekend mornings. Bring back the Chicken Tiga!!! Note: It's first come, first serve seating and you are supposed to wait in line and order before being seated. However entitled guests sometimes circumvent the line and save tables for the rest of their party waiting at the back of the line, whom have yet to order. This often throws off the flow of available tables, because the people whom waited in line and just ordered, now do not have a table. It can get busy here on weekends, but if you go, don't be one of these people, please wait in line like everyone else. The line moves quickly and the staff turns over the tables quickly as well. The couple of times this has happened to us, the staff promptly sat us at the bar and gave us a discount on our breakfast. read more

My friends and I were staying downtown Cinci after a concert and ventured out in search of brunch the next morning. After seeing positive reviews of Maplewood Kitchen we decided to try it. The entry was not what I expected. You stand in line like you are ordering fast food and place your order at the register. I was instantly skeptical. The young lady at the register did a great job of reassuring us and advising us on our options. For the sake of taste everything, eat nothing we ordered alot. We got lemon ricotta pancakes, avocado toast, short rib skewers , salmon skewers, bacon, a benedict , and one of the salads. Everything was fresh, beautifully plated and yummy. The coffee was delish and they do espresso the real Italian way. We all also got a cookie to go. I got some type of cookie w chocolate and cereal . It was amazing. I will definitely go back here. Check it out! read more

This restaurant is amazing. I wish I could eat here every time I visit Cincinnati. Everything on the menu is delicious. So you wait in line and order at the counter, they bring you to a table, and then they bring the food to you. I think you're supposed to tip when you pay at the counter, but it's unclear. I was expecting there to be a line on a Sunday around lunchtime, but we were able to walk right up to the counter. After we ordered, got drinks, and sat down, our food was ready in five minutes. We were in and out within 45 minutes. That hardly ever happens for Sunday bunch. My go to meal is the bistro steak and eggs. The chimichurri is perfect with the steak. There's just the right amount of spice on the steak. The hash browns are so different from the classic hash browns you get at most restaurants. They are 100% better. You don't even need ketchup with them. The butter and jelly with the grain toast are so good too. I could make a meal off just that. I've had the lemon ricotta pancakes before and they were excellent. I tried the blueberry granola pancakes this time and they were amazing. Probably the best pancakes I've ever had. There were so many flavors in them. The Maplewood omelet is very good too. I don't think they have anything that isn't amazing here. I'll be back here many more times. I'm interested to see what dinner is like here. read more

Went a couple more times recently for lunch. The harvest salad (skipped dried cherries and dressing on side) w/ salmon skewer and the shakshuka (skipped feta) with chicken skewer. Harvest salad was really good and strong portion. Shakshuka was good, but not the best shakshuka. Maybe I'm a tough critic. Would get both again but lean more towards the salad. Table got the chips and guac and the guac tasted like the pre-made grocery store stuff. Disappointed in that. Continues to be a great spot with good, fresh food. read more

Everything about this place was wonderful. The food was very good and the employees were very nice.

This place is fantastic! It may be a little pricey but it's worth it! The hubby and I decided to split a few things and it was more than enough food. The decor is beautiful with great taste! I tried out the cold pressed in house made OJ and it was sooooo good :) well worth the $6 We then split a Maplewood omelet leaving out the jalepenos the goat cheese is amazing! We ordered a $5 side of lemon ricotta pancakes that were soooooo delicious! We also got a side of there housemade sausage that tastes more on the Italian sausage was really good and even better dipped in the local syrup! We will def come back here it was delicious don't walk away just because of the prices! read more

Maplewood - Chicken Tinga - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

My husband and I spent a weekend in Cincy and the high rating and delicious pictures are what made our decision for a Sunday brunch. However I wish I knew this was not like a normal restaurant. When we saw it on Saturday it had a huge line outside so on Sunday we called for the wait time for two. We were quoted 20-25 mins. This was very acceptable. When we got there the line was out the door but not like Saturday. I couldn't figure out why no one could check in and we were all still in line. I had seen someone standing at the front. We slowly get inside the door after 10 mins or so and the employee is at a cart to make mimosas while you wait. Then he asks if we need explained how the restaurant works. Oh boy. So the 40 or so people still in front of me, the whole depth of the restaurant, were in line to order at 2-3 cashiers up front. It's what stood between me and a table. You had to get through the line, order, get a pager, wait at a bar, then be seated. None of this makes sense and bottlenecks the whole restaurant. As you can see in a picture, most of the tables sat empty and this method completely prevents the benefit of having a quick two top. Once sat they didn't even spread us out but packed like sardines. Oh and once you order that's it. Want another mimosa? Too bad! What a horrible system with bad service. It's bad and you should feel bad. Food was good but would never go back. read more

For breakfast, lunch, or happy hour Maplewood is always a win in my book! The setup is a bit unlike a regular restaurant so just be prepared when you walk in. Ive sat and ordered at the bar before but if this isn't something you want you go to the right and order from the register. Once you order a host will seat you and your food will be served. A bit unconventional but I never had to wait - even during busy lunch hours! I'm at the point where I have tried a decent amount on their menu but their burger is still my go to. Its fresh, juicy, and comes with their amazing fries and dipping sauce. You can't beat it. And their grilled cheese straight up melts in your mouth - and also comes with fries In addition to their amazing food, they also have refreshing homemade cold pressed juices AND an amazing cocktail menu. Please go check this place out! Now that I work downtown I'm easily there for lunch at least twice a month and I'll never get tired of it read more

This was my first time coming here, and I'm so sad it took me this long! The atmosphere is really laid back and the staff is very nice. The ordering is different- you order at the front, take number and find a seat. I had the 3 eggs your way, with an iced Americano. I'm so persnickety about my eggs- I know, I know.. but they made them EXACTLY as I asked. The Americano was perfect too. I'm definitely coming back with the hubs sometime soon! read more

I didn't think a chopped salad could taste so good, but I found the one here to be stellar. Even without the addition of a protein, it's a generous portion that can, I dare say, leave even a meat lover fully satisfied. The tuna poke tostada is also as delicious, and the fish is extremely well seasoned. The living green salad did not have as much of a wow factor for me, but it's still a solid, healthy option for health conscious diners. Juices are a refreshing way to top off the meal. read more

We visited here on a birthday weekend trip to Cincy. We came here because of the Yelp reviews. My husband gives his pancakes and sausage a 3.5 out of 5. My Maplewood Omelette Gets a 5 out of 5. The goat cheese in the omelette really did it for me!!! I'm giving a 4 because the host at the front door serving mimosa offered us some and we asked what the deal was. He said "i just make you one. that's the deal." He never said that they were not complimentary. Had we known it wasn't complimentary, we would not have taken them. We would have opted for a beverage we actually like. He lacks integrity and that was disappointing. read more

This place is charming! Loved the food, fast service and overall vibe! I highly recommend trying their omelette or power bowl for breakfast/ brunch! The coffee and almond latte were also super Delicious! When you get here check out the craftsmanship of the tiles, woodwork and other details! As an artist I found this place was really thought out with a delicate design eye. The restaurant has no outdoor seating but is centrally located to the Hyatt and Millennium hotels. There is little parking in this area which is kinda annoying but try street parking first and just pay online. read more

Sunday morning brunch, yes please! For such a popular place, they have a good process for getting masses through with it not feeling rushed. Long line out the door for ordering at the counter. You get a number, wait briefly at a gathering table where a host brings you to an open, clean table to sit. Waiters bring over your food and you enjoy time with friends! I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes which were divine. I had leftovers because two pancakes the size of the plate was a bit too much. BUT the cold leftovers I ate later still tasted great!
