    Ice Cream on Lunch Menu

Very small two person run restaurant! It feels honey and homemade but everything was pretty good. The waiter was very friendly and I love that they change the menu up occasionally! I definitely want to come back to try more of their stuff later Zero proof honey cocktail - 3/5 I can really taste the spices and fall like flavors. Pretty refreshing grilled peach salad - 4/5 actually so good! I love how the flavors come together and the greens were crispy and fresh Buckwheat crepe - 3/5 nice and sweet but super thin. Wish it was thicker Omelet - 3.5/5 actually pretty unique and I enjoyed this a lot! So soft Pork confit sandwich - 2.5/5 good filling but the bread is not good. I ended up just eating the center Spicy creme freche wings - 2.5/ 5 the sauce is actually pretty yummy with a nice kick and light creaminess. The issue is the chicken was dry Dessert - 3.5/5 love the sugar on the ice cream and the little dough balls were so moist and yummy!

Maple Avenue Restaurant in one encounter has shot straight to the top of my list as a unique and lovely food experience. It stands on its own, an intimate setting with only a few tables to be seen. The owners and staff lean into that, making you feel like you are the most important person in the room. They stayed attentive throughout and were incredibly knowledgeable of the changing menu and everything that went into each dish. An easy favorite for me was the Omelette, filled with caramelized onion, sweet corn and Gouda; my taste buds have rarely been this happy. Each bite drenched in the umami aïoli saturated my every sense with a delightfully warm and comfortable flavor. I feel as though I could write an essay about each bite of each dish, but I'll try to save you some time. The grilled peach salad was refreshing and led to me scrapping the plate for the remaining nuts and dressing. The squash nuggets rested on a garden's dill crema that could have elevated anything. The almond ricotta pancake was so sweet and fluffy and somehow sophisticated, it could serve as a dessert easily. The spicy crepe fraiche wings surprised me with their subtle heat and tangy lovely flavor. Everything was paired with these perfectly seasoned crispy potato's that soaked up the dishes flavors but could easily be shoveled down completely alone. I don't know if I should go back tomorrow, wait for the menu to change so I can try something new and wonderful, or some combination of the two.

We came here for a late brunch after a back to back workouts (hot yoga + Zumba) so we needed very good nourishing brunch food with some mimosa. This restaurant is tiny but mighty in food in quality, the craftsmanship and service. We were blown away by their pre fix brunch menu for $26. We got two courses each and couldn't have been more satisfied. The eggs were soft and fluffy and tasted like truffles. Fried green tomatoes were masterful. We can't wait to come back and try the dinner prefixe menu.

It's been a few years since we've back, and I regret not going back sooner. Unassuming on the outside, very simple, almost sparse, but the food hits way above it's humble appearances. Vibrant seasonal cocktails, short but very well priced tasty wines by the bottle or glass, and excellent service. 4 course fixed price with 2 to 3 options per course. Root vegetable cake, mushroom risotto, wonderful salmon or pork steak confit with a very interesting caponata. Had to look that item up on the internet. The quality of the food punches way above their prices. Grabbing a weeknight meal before a concert, or something special on a higher budget? Definitely a top spot.

First time to be here for our date night. Foods were amazing including the dessert doughnuts. We had the french pressed coffee. We enjoyed every single dishes here!!

Amazing restaurant that is tucked away in a nondescript building right off of the main drag in Vienna. Have just 7-8 tables in a small room, and only offer a rotating 4-course 60$ tasting menu with 1-2 choices per course, but literally everything I had here (including my cocktail) was amazing + the server was very friendly as well. The portions were all small, but after 4 of them I was pretty satisfied. Everything was plated very beautifully as well. Although the food menu is limited they do have a solid drink selection.

My grandmother and I visited Maple Ave last night and had an absolutely delicious meal. What looks like an unassuming place is truly producing some incredible food. The service was also wonderful and accommodating. Ricardo helped my grandmother inside (she is 94 with a walker) while I parked the car and they even turned the lights up so she could read the menu better. We visited on Sunday at 5pm and had the whole restaurant to ourselves until a couple showed up at 6pm. We started with the beet soup, which was not only welcome on such a cold night, but full of so much flavor. I've never had beet soup and was a little wary of it but it was so good. We then had the mushroom risotto, which was definitely the star of the meal and was warm, chewy and aromatic. The squash paired with the crispy mushrooms was the ultimate flavor combo. We then had the pork, which was so tender. This was the least favorite of the dishes but was still very good and my grandmother ate every bite! We finished the meal with the chocolate bread pudding which was the perfect bite to end the meal, not too sweet, but enough to change the palette and feel like the meal was complete. A true hidden gem!

This was one of my favorite dining experiences I've had in a while. I did the brunch menu and literally the potatoes were the best I ever had, super crispy. The service was great and I really felt welcomed by the owners. My friend and I are excited to come back to try their dinner menu.

I tell everyone about this spot because it's so unique, delicious, and there's always something new on the menu. This is my second time coming now - first was for dinner and finally checked out brunch. The server is extremely sweet, passionate about the food, and really is the reason why we came for brunch - per his recommendation! Oh and let me say, this is a no frills place, which I love because the chef really puts her attention on the menu and what she's cooking. We came for an anniversary brunch and it was amazing! My husband got the beef empanada which was so flavorful! The crepe was delicious! Too sweet to start the meal? Not at all. The dulce de leche, jam, and custard was the perfect combo. I could eat another one I ordered the pot roast sandwich and ended up switching with my husband. He liked how heavy and hearty is was. Lots of flavors and juices! I guess i love the simplicity of the truffled eggs, so good! The potatoes and bacon were just the perfect amount of crispy. Of course we ordered the donut holes too and thank god because woah!!!! Soft center on the inside, crispy outside, add the ice cream....we were fighting over them! Can't wait to come again and try a whole new menu!

Enjoyed a really great brunch experience at Maple Ave. I loved the simplicity of the dining area, the set menu and the customer service. Everything we ate and drank was amazing!! I ordered the Maple and I had to slow myself down because it tasted so good. The Beer-mosa we were skeptical of, but it was delish. And oh my goodness...the potatoes!!! I will definitely come back when in the area.

    Seared shrimp and house pasta

This place is really special. Each dish felt like it was made for the first time just for us. Ricardo was delightful and his wife Justé is an absolutely incredible chef. The two have created an environment both lively and intimate. They made our anniversary one to remember. We can't wait to come back and try brunch very soon.

Went there for Father's Day dinner. It was a fantastic experience. We made reservation online thru Resy which has asked us our diet restrictions. Usually other restaurants missed our special needs and asked again when we order food in the restaurant. I was surprised our server in Maple Ave noticed that and double confirmed with us. He is very attentive and very professional. We were well notified which dish we should be avoided. The presentation of each dish were so beautiful and adjusted to meet our dietry needed. Although I saw some reviews about the price, it is worth because we can tell the chef is really care the customers' needs. Every single dish is very delicious. I personally like the dessert the most. The restaurant is very small, so strongly recommended to make reservations.

Food was great but the ambiance was so unsettling, that I would not go back. There's old carpet, terrible hard chairs, blank gray walls. The whole setting was very unappealing and didn't look clean. Food was great though! The courses came at a great pace. Our favorites were the mushroom risotto and fresh seasonal salad. The salmon dish was a little disappointing, it was the tiniest sliver of salmon!

We had an incredible experience celebrating a birthday at Evelyn Rose!…read more The menu is exciting, seasonal, and features a TON of local options and farms- you can taste the difference. We decided to start by sharing the wagyu carpaccio, the fried green tomatoes, and an appetizer portion of the cavatelli- I really like that you can do appetizer portions of both pastas on rotation on the menu here. We were also brought two pieces of focaccia with incredibly flavorful olive oil (yum!). The cavatelli and the fried green tomatoes were standouts for us, the pasta had a great chew and the bolognese was really flavorful. The fried green tomatoes came topped with a pimento cheese that was incredible. For our entrees, we opted for the braised bison shoulder and the scallops. The scallops were perfectly prepared and were a very generous portion. The bison shoulder was so tender and the accompaniments were incredible- this was a perfect fall dish. We also got the charred sweet summer corn, which was delicious and came studded with the lightest goat cheese, and rustic Old Bay potatoes, which were absolutely perfectly fried and came with a side of some honey mustard. We took a good amount of the sides home and they held up for a day or two! I was really impressed with the wine list here- there were a lot of solid options. The champagne in particular was excellent (and I am picky!). Our server, who I believe was Riley, really made it a special night. He was so attentive and had excellent suggestions. One touch that was so thoughtful was that we had declined dessert because we would be having birthday cake later, but mentioned that the banana tres leches sounded so good. He brought over a scoop of the banana ice cream that's typically on top of that dessert with a candle in it! It was so kind of him to listen to us but still recognize that it was a special occasion- and it was some of the best ice cream I've had in a long time (he said it is made in house every day with duck eggs, it was so rich and flavorful). We have already booked our return reservation here! Thanks to Evelyn Rose for a wonderful night with such memorable food.

My mom is extraordinarily sensitive to anything remotely "spicy"--even black pepper can be a problem, and sometimes arugula! Our server David listened carefully to her concerns and made sure the chef knew exactly what she needed. The kitchen modified her dish accordingly, and she was able to enjoy a delicious meal without worrying about what might be in it. But the food was only part of what made the evening so enjoyable. David and Ceara were both fantastic--warm, attentive, and incredibly personable. They really listened to Mom and made an effort to engage with her. Mom eventually started telling jokes, including a few that were definitely on the bawdy side. David and Ceara were wonderful sports and laughed right along with her. They made her feel welcome rather than simply accommodated, and that distinction meant a lot to all of us. Clarity gave us delicious food and excellent service, but more importantly, they helped make my mother feel celebrated on her 91st birthday. We've been dining at Clarity in Vienna for years, and it was particularly a favorite for intimate,…read morespecial-occasion meals. Chef Jon Krinn's menus and his warm, personal touch with diners made the place special. After he left, Chef Tracy O'Grady admirably revived it with creative new menu concepts, and under Chef Danny Ahn the brand has now expanded to a Reston location. Through it all, bartender Victor has been a steady, caring presence -- even as service slowed and courses started taking a long time to arrive. After one visit where we waited 50 minutes for dessert, we stayed away for a while. We decided to come back to celebrate our anniversary. The new manager, Jeff Miller, and the rest of the staff greeted us warmly, but the dining room was nearly empty, and the air conditioning was set to meat-locker levels. Victor had the day off. Clarity is known for a daily-changing tasting menu, and we were looking forward to that night's advertised special -- giant tiger prawns, lobster and black truffle risotto, and venison. Instead, we were handed a menu with octopus, cod loin, and duck -- solid dishes, but standard fare you'll find at plenty of restaurants in the area, not the standout the website promised. We ordered from the regular menu instead. For appetizers, we each got the grilled Wellfleet and Old Salt oyster platter. For entrées, my spouse ordered the yellowfin tuna with tiger shrimp; I asked if I could get the Maryland soft-shell crabs as an entrée with two crabs instead of one. The waiter said no and suggested I add a sweet corn bisque to round out the meal. When he mentioned to the manager that we were unhappy, Jeff offered to plate two crab appetizers together for double the appetizer price. I happily agreed. The manager explained that website updates were no longer handled in-house, that the tasting menu posted online hadn't actually been available for months, that other guests had complained about the same thing, and that the takeout/pickup menu was also wrong -- to the point that he' had just contacted customers to tell them their online orders couldn't be fulfilled. Service was slow, and the waiter never told us which oysters were Wellfleet and which were Old Salt. To kitchen's credit, the portions were generous, properly cooked, and genuinely tasty. The dessert menu seemed uninspired, so I asked about a double shot of Angel's Envy rye instead. It had always been reasonably priced when Victor poured it -- generously, too. This time, I overheard the manager quote the waiter $56. A 750ml bottle (25 oz) currently retails at Virginia ABC for about $75, or $3/oz -- so $56 for a double shot works out to about $18.67 per ounce. I said that wasn't acceptable. At that point, the manager repeated, for the fourth time, that he was still on the phone trying to get the website fixed. I told him his reiterated efforts might help future diners, but it didn't help us that evening. He said Victor had trained him and that he was charging what Victor would charge -- I told him I didn't believe that, since Victor had always been fair and accommodating. I also said that as the manager overseeing service, he should be checking the website' daily for accuracy himself. He then offered to pay for my "cocktail" out of his own pocket. Before I could point out that a shot of whiskey isn't a cocktail, my spouse asked him to just leave us alone. We paid and left feeling genuinely sad to see a restaurant we loved fall this far.

AMBIANCE: I know YardHouse typically has a HUGEEE space, but…read morei was excited to come to this location. because the springfield location is closer to home, it's the one I have always gone to, but on this day i was trying to watch the world cup game and this location was closest. FOOD: i got the asian noodles meal, i truly don't know what the dish was actually called but it was PHENOMENAL. it had beef pieces in it, which WERE breaded. so, that was the only thing i did not expect, but regardless it was a TONNNN of food. we also got nachos as an app, so i did have a ton of leftover from my main dish due to that, but it was a solid meal to eat for leftovers the next day. it had veggies: my favorite were snappeas (or snowpeas? are those the same??) carrots, mushroom, and asparagus. it's was soooo good, would get again 100% SERVICE: considering they were slammed due to the USA game, i was super surpsied that we were able to get sat as quick as we did. i thought i was going to have to find a spot at the bar and just hope my bf was ok with standing LOL. but the outdoor space was free, so i found a spot at the bar and then put my name on the list for outdoor seating and i waiting no more than 5 minutes and we were good to go. our waitness was super kind, she had made a mistake in getting us water with ice when we ordered without ice and we both said it was totally fine but she switched it for us anyway, so i thought that was sweet. good vibes, good company, good food. 10/10.

Yard House isn't normally my first choice because it's huge, busy, and can be a little…read moreoverwhelming. But if you're looking for burgers, wings, and beer, it definitely fits the bill. The drink selection is massive! It was pretty busy when we went, but surprisingly not that loud. The only miss was the host stand. We waited patiently while both hosts were busy, but when someone walked in after us, they started helping her first. We had to point out that we had been waiting. We were seated first, but we shouldn't have had to ask. Once seated, the service was fabulous. Our server was in training and did a great job, and his trainer was equally wonderful. Friendly, attentive, great recommendations, and the food was great. If the busy atmosphere doesn't bother you and you're looking for burgers, beers, and a place that can easily accommodate a larger group, Yard House is a great option.
