While in Bozeman recently we stopped into Map Brewing, and so glad we found this spot. The brewery was filled to the brim, local live music was playing and everyone was so fun and friendly. We started with Poutine, a favorite of ours. The fries were topped with a rich beef gravy, cheese curds and sliced jalapenos. We then shared the pulled pork sliders. The soft slider rolls were filled with tender bbq shredded pork, and a fresh crunchy slaw which added a tangy, acidic balance with a nice crunch. The building sits along the banks of a pond, and the back patio has plenty of seating if you want to be outside, with expansive views of the pond and the stunning mountains surrounding Bozeman. MAP was a great spot for a late outdoor lunch/beers on a beautiful Montana day. We got there at ~1pm on a Friday and it took us an hour to be seated outside due to the very high demand, but they were efficient once we were seated and we ate pretty quick. The beers were all great, and a group of 5 of us split a ton of appetizers that were all really delicious. I'd definitely recommend MAP to anyone going through Bozeman. They were great about wearing masks, which put us at ease - and the pro tip I wish I'd known: You can sign up for a table online, so you can put your name in before you get there. read more

Visited here with our SERVICE dog and were told they didn't want a dog "in the middle of their dining room" and that if we weren't ordering food they didn't want us to take up a table and we should sit outside. We sat outside and when I went in to ask for a beer menu, they told me to look on the wall over the bar, yet the rest of my party was outside, and there's no table service outside, so you have to order (inside) from the bar. Seriously? Eventually they came up with a QR code I could use. Staff were less than friendly. It's really easy to be nice, and when you're in the hospitality business, it's somewhat expected. However, we interacted with multiple staff who just weren't nice or friendly. It's a shame b/c the venue is nice! Beer was fair. read more

While visiting Yellowstone, a Marriott hostess suggested this local brewery to us. The food was not your average bar food because it taste great. And they had a good selection. We had pork sliders and juicy burgers with fries, yum!! It's a brewery with its own house beer and lots of other beer choices. Although, I am not a beer drinker at all, I sampled my sisters flight. To my surprise, I enjoyed actually enjoyed one more than the others. My sister loved all of the selections. If you have a choice of seating, sit outdoors. The location is literally next to a lake with a wonderful a bike path and fantastic views of mountains. On the other side is a man-made beach. read more

MAP Brewing... come for the view, stay for the beer. I tried the Midas Touch, and split some nachos and their fried chicken sandwich with my group. I couldn't have been happier with the beer, which was really flavorful and perfect for a summer night. What really took my breath away, though, was the view from their patio. I mean... it overlooks a lake and the mountains. It's breathtaking. I wish I could sit there all day, every day. There really isn't a bad seat in the house, though, as they keep their garage-style doors open as weather permits. You can still enjoy those views from inside if their patio is crowded. This was mine and my wife's first stop after flying in from Texas. Exceptional food. Big portions, grass-fed beef, cold beer. As usually being a domestic beer drinking, their fiesta beer was an "out of the box" experience that proved to be true to its name. Enough such, that I drank more of it at my brother's house. The view is awesome with the mountains and being on the edge of a small lake. Definitely will stop in again when we come back for family vacation. read more

On our first night in Bozeman we were looking for a place to dine outdoors and could not have asked for a better experience. MAP is doing an excellent job adjusting to COVID safety measures- extensive cleaning between guests and everyone wore a mask. Our waitress Alicia gave excellent service on a busy night. While the beer and atmosphere are wonderful and the service was good too, the quality of the food seems to have deteriorated recently. We had the chips with black bean salsa as a starter. The salsa was incredibly bland. My wife and I both had the fish and chips special as our main. It was awful. It Tasted like the fish was cooked in very old oil. But I didn't like the pickles they placed inside, they reduced the juice and made the sandwiches soggy way too fast. The bun was fresh baked! + The brat sandwiches was delicious, the best amongst what we ordered. The brat had a bit of smoked flavor in there and the mustard sauce just lightened up the flavors perfectly. + Smoked wings with buffalo sauce. they were a bit too salty for my taste. Their blue cheese sauce was good though. ****THE BEER**** was absolutely delicious. We did a flight and we did like all of their beer. But our fav is the IIPA High Country, so rich and deep in flavor. We had a pint for each of us and took home a growler of this goodness. Overall, this place was amazing. Great beer and food! If you're a sour fan I highly recommend the Speedy G. The Puffed Poppers, Veggie Burger and the Hopped Cheddar Burger were all delicious. As a brewery the best part of the experience was the beer and the great scenery. The location allows for views of the Bridger Moutains and a small pond right outside the brewery. In Bozeman for a week and tried to find a brewery that sat outdoors due to COVID. Was very pleased there was an outdoor option. My friend and I went on a Thursday right when they opened at noon and there was already a line - good thing we called ahead! I was very happy to see that they were seating huge picnic tables that would normally seat 8-10, with parties as small as two to keep safe. Thank you MAP! All the staff were wearing masks and trying to keep people from coming in through the back. You could take your mask off while outside until you went in to use the bathroom. My friend and I really appreciated the precautions there were taking. The beer was so great - I got the sampler three times so I could try everything.
