They also have an outdoor patio area with red Adirondack chairs, makes for nice photos. The inside is medium sized. There's the main floor bar area, and then tables are on 2nd floor loft. Some eclectic outdoors/hunting lodge type of items on the walls. Doing good business on a weekend afternoon. They have a pretty big selection of brews, with about half a dozen year around beers, and a lot more seasonal varieties. You can get a 4x4oz tasting flight which I got. Beer was pretty decent. Even the IPA wasn't overly hoppy. The food menu is classic American pub fare. I got the MAP burger which is burger with two smashed patties. Good sized burger with decent buns. I got fries for the side, and they filled the plate with fries. The fries were okay, but there's a lot of it. Overall, food was decent, and the view is great.

We drove around downtown Bozeman for a good 30 minutes, and didn't have any luck in securing parking. I found Mountain Walking Brewery and thought I'd take a chance and prayed that there would be a lot or that I would be super lucky with street parking. We were in luck and there was one very small spot near the front of the restaurant - hallelujah! The restaurant was poppin' - almost every table was taken, but we were offered bar seating and we gladly accepted. After purusing through the menu I decided that we should try a variety of items including a side of Brussels sprouts, Bowl of Bison Chili, and a Fig and Arugula Pizza. Service was quick and we got all our items in a pretty timely manner. The pizza had a really great crust the dough had a nice bounce to it. I think for me they were a tad overly generous with the balsamic vinegar glaze which made the pizza quite salty. I would definitely order a pizza again but perhaps the Margherita or the Carnivore. The bison chili was a good standard bowl and the brussel sprouts while crispy was also very salty - I think it was definitely over dressed, but maybe since the majority of patrons were drinkin the salty foods would pair well. Seems like a fun place to hang out, but for me I'd probably pick anything that doesn't have glaze or soy sauce.

When we entered, we noticed it was a small place, packed with a lot of people, but we loved the vibe, so we decided to stay. The bartenders were really nice. We enjoyed talking to them and learning about the area and the history of the brewery. They explained that they had been in business for about 24 years. His explanation was "that's our tab, if you decide you want another, bring the card up." We tried to explain that we didn't want another. We were only having one & we'd like to pay. I had a fried chicken sandwich with their special fries which had a sort of curry sauce for them. The fries were good, I'd get them again, but I didn't think there was much about the sauce that would make me say "I need to have those fries asap" but they were good. The chicken breast was big and juicy with a crunchy coating but I think the oil was a bit too hot as it had a very slightly burned taste. I'd think about going back and ordering something else.

We did, at a cozy little spot near the front door. The table has real candlelight, all of the tables do, so there's this beautiful ambiance of dancing light that envelopes this larger than it looks from the outside wine bar. Just a few seconds after sitting, someone was at our table with waters and the menu. Talk about fast and efficient service. When our actual server arrived, she was super friendly and hospitable. She made it feel like we were regulars and I loved that. And the cocktails? Superb. Absolutely incredible, every single one of them. And that coconut lime rickey? I understand why people rave about it. Perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. I also want to point out how quick the cocktails came out to us. The beer that I had (and Steve enjoyed too) was the Salmon Fly Honey Rye. Rye beers is a type of beer that I don't come across very often and when I finally do it's a refreshing experience as is the case with this Rye beer. Flavor features to find with this beer are honey, a natural sweetness and rye. The beer is light bodied and has a smooth body to it. A nice change of pace from what you typically come across with beer selections.
