Solid spot for a sandwich…read more Came on a Thurs for lunch just before noon, and didn't have any issues finding a place to sit. I asked the staff what sandwich they recommended and mentioned the Turkey & Avocado PLT ($13.50) was the most popular and their favorite. It was a good choice! Casual atmosphere and welcoming staff made it an overall positive experience.

We discovered Mavens Market because we were in search of brunch and the favorable reviews on Yelp brought us here. The four of us each ordered their own breakfast item. * Eggs & Ham $13 * Greek Goddess $13 * Avocado & Tomato Toast $13 x 2 First off, the bread they use for the sandwiches is so good and they do a superb job getting such a great toast on it. I tried both the Eggs & Ham and the Greek Goddess and they were both very tasty. (Each of my kids had their own Avocado & Tomato Toast, and they were not sharing nor did they have any leftovers.) It does take a little while for the sandwiches to be made, so don't come here if you're in a rush. (They also have a steady line up of orders coming in for pick up, so just be aware.) The great thing it that it gives you a chance to check out their cheese shop. We actually returned a few hours later to grab some lunch and got a couple of different sandwiches this time. *The Full Maven $13 *Grilled Mozzarella Panini $13 Again, both sandwiches were really good and traveled well. I actually saved half and reheated it on the pan the next day. It was still very good. The cheese shop next door is adorable. I love wandering through shops like these and would probably visit often if I lived in town. Since we were flying out in a few hours, I had to resist purchasing anything since we only brought carry-ons. I was very tempted though! But you can easily find anything and everything you would want for a charcuterie board, night out, picnic, etc. I could have easily filled a whole basket of yumminess to enjoy.

Wanted to give some local meat a try and cook it on my own during the visit. Daniel's gourmet meats provided amazing fresh cuts of meat from bison to elk to beef to other things. There was fresh meat and jerky. The jerky was probably some of the best I've tasted. Came back at the end of my trip to grab a few more bags to take home. The store seemed well stocked and we'll organized so it wasn't overwhelming to navigate, which can be a problem for smaller stores when everything can be disorganized. Also the staff were really friendly and there were even samples of sausages to try!

Now, we go to Daniel's once a week and pick up ribeyes, porterhouses and ground beef. The prices are basically the same as the big markets, the quality is not even close. Daniel's meats are the best you're going to find anywhere. I still am not a big meat eater, but thanks to Daniel's I eat more beef than before and sure do enjoy the steaks and burgers. Even their chicken is noticeably better than elsewhere, at no more cost. To top it off, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Unless you have a thing for eating meat that isn't top notch, there's no reason to go anywhere else for your meat (I'm talking everywhere from Whole Foods to Safeway to Rosauer's to T&C to Costco and Winco).

**November 2025: Sunday Afternoon Visit**…read more My mom and I were looking for some local Montana gifts and food and saw the huge Co-op building on a drive down Main Street. The parking lot is kind of small, but we were able to find a spot to squeeze into on our visit. When you enter the building you'll see an impressive self-serve section and I noticed quite a few people loading up their plates or to go boxes. There's an island of ingredients to make your own salad and a couple of home made soups, and another area for hot items. My mom and I decided to share a squash soup, a small salad, and an assortment of hot items including South Carolina pulled pork, mac n cheese, biscuits and gravy, and mashed potatoes. I also decided to try a local kombucha which was really refreshing. We grabbed our utensils close to the exit and headed upstairs to enjoy our food. After we devoured everything we perused the main floor and bought a lot of Montana based goodies including teas, Bequet caramels, soaps, and skincare products. Suffice to say I spent quite a bit of money here, but I'm happy to support local and be able to share the Montana spirit with my family and friends! I'd say Community Food Co-op is kind of like a cross between Trader Joes and Whole Foods, but with a great emphasis on sustainability and local goods. Price range is $$-$$$ range depending on the items.

Had a nice vibe with plenty of seating and some great background music. Vicky took my order at the counter and she was very pleasant, very professional and actually I would've thought that she was the owner or one of the owners. Turned out she said she just works there but she has a great attitude and smile and I really liked her energy. Right across the street from the university but on a late Saturday afternoon it wasn't very busy so it was perfect for me to stop in and pick up these three sandwiches. Definitely a place that I would come back to again.

Located across the street from Montana State University football field, the setting is clean, efficient and a decent selection of breakfast foods, hot / cold sandwiches and slices of pizza. Everything is made to order and the staff is friendly and extremely accommodating. We ordered a Reuben and the grinder. The Reuben bread was crisp rye, meat was savory with a good spread of provolone and kraut. The grinder was served cold with salami, suppressota, hot capacola, provolone, peppercini peppers, cabbage and Italian dressing. It was good but twice as much salad as meat and heavy on the dressing. The sandwiches were good and they serve a solid product. If you are hungry at MSU, give Bozeman Market and Deli a try. Prices are decent and everything is served with a smile.
