I'm visiting from out of town and this is the best distillery I've ever been to! It has everything you want out of one. High quality spirits, a large selection of them, TASTY drinks with options for everyone including tons of sweet, bold flavors and spirit forward for those who want it! And the reasonable prices?!? And the portion sizes?!?? No large ice cubes here! The staff was super friendly and the space is adorable. Free parking, bottles for purchase, and another cool cocktail bar in the same building. I am not sure if I have a good grasp on what the difference is between what a good distillery is and what a bad one is. Reason why I say this is almost each and every time I go to a distillery I enjoy it immensely and almost always shell out five stars for my review of it, four stars minimum. I know a bad brewery when I try one but not so sure with distilleries. So bearing that in mind and if you go off of what the other reviews say for what's posted for Wildrye Distilling you will find as an average that they come in at five stars. So if there are more distillery snobs that came here they gave it a ringing endorsement as well as I am doing. Wildrye looks to be in a newer neighborhood and development of mixed business and housing. It's in a nice corner and it was probably one of the busiest places I went to out of all of the numerous places I stopped at in Bozeman. In fact it was so busy it took a while to get a drink order placed and the bartender informed me as such. So I took a seat and waited and got my order placed after a bit. The bartender was so aware of his customers and gave me a little bit of a discount on my drink for the wait despite me never complaining to him about it which was really nice of him to do! The drink I got was a really good one! It was the Basil Smash. And as the name indicates it is indeed loaded with basil. It was extremely refreshing and so very well made! I could easily have had another but I was starting to get into a time crunch and had to make a few other stops before closure but it was worth the wait and whenever I am passing through Bozeman again I will most certainly return! read more

After reading the reviews, yelp reviews decided to give this place a try. Lucky for us. It was Tuesday and it was buy one get one free. We both had the bourbon horse neck beverage with ginger, beer and bitters. The bartender was a local and very friendly and informative about the various offerings. The drink was strong (I know now why Montana law says 2 per person per day!) no food is offered here so just a heads up. 2/1/22, first time visiting. Lucky enough to find this place on a Tuesday as they offer 2 for 1 drinks! We found a couple seats at the bar, next to a cool younger couple who gave us some nice tips for touring Montana. Bartender was fun and very engaging, not to mention he mixed a great Old Fashioned cocktail. Lesley enjoyed the Honey Crisp made with their own Wildrye Apple Pie moonshine. Both were delicious! 5 stars all the way! I first came here about 3 years ago while visiting Montana and came back again yesterday. This is a small, cute distillery that has an awesome cocktail menu. They make their own liquor and you can buy bottles or just come in for a drink. There is a bar inside to sit at and tables outside as well. I tasted 5 different cocktails yesterday (I only drank two but tasted my friends' as well, haha) and they were complex in flavor and strong. If I'm paying $10-15 a drink, I expect it to pack a punch and these absolutely do. A new bartender named Swan was working last night and was super friendly and fun. I'll continue to come back to Wild Rye anytime I visit Bozeman! read more

This distillery is incredible! It's owned by local folks who are very passionate about what they do, how they treat their employees, and maintaining a tight relationship with Bozeman residents and other businesses. And most importantly, the liquor is delicious! I love their clean, smooth rye. And the apple pie liquor is perfect for making apple bourbon sours over the holidays. I love visiting the space, but I also order bottles to stock my own cabinet. read more

I'm not a big liquor drinker (I'm more a wine person), but you gotta stop here if you're near Ennis. Super cool joint with a great menu! Again... I don't really like Whiskey nor Bourbon... but they have a Bourbon Maple Lemon cocktail that is AWESOME! Like "Dangerous" Awesome! In that I could drink several of these if it were allowed. Goes down way too easy. Not overly sweet, not overly alcoholy... just perfect. I think there's a 2 drink maximum which is probably a good thing. read more

Absolutely awesome place in Bozeman! We were visiting for the night and eating next door, so ended up stopping in Wild Rye Distilling while we waited. Not too many people were there on a Saturday night around 7pm (believe they closed pretty early around 8pm), so we sat at the bar and chatted with the bartenders. Both were super funny and friendly! We ended up trying the flathead cherry vodka and the apple pie moonshine, both of which were great! We ended up taking both bottles home. Cocktails were creative as well and the drinks were strooongggg!! Definitely check this out and grab food at any of the lovely places nearby after! read more

Nice pit stop if you are passing through Bozeman on your way to Yellowstone. We stopped in to check out the whiskeys and maybe pick up a bottle or two for our cabin. I've been coming to this spot often. The owners are great folks. The service is good. They have changed manager since I have been going and this seems to have made things inconsistent. The most important thing is not closing early. Multiple times I have come in 15 min before closing and been denied service. I would recommend calling ahead or skip giving them your business if it's anywhere near closing. Maybe they should post closing time as 7:45? read more

Amazing service! We learned so much about their offering and Bozeman in general. I wish we could remember the name of the woman who helped us, as she was amazing, but we cannot. I tried the flathead cherry vodka, the gin, and I think two bourbons and my fiance tried all whiskeys...all were so good! Was in here a few weeks ago visiting from California. We learned a lot about Montana and distilling from our hostess, Maya. She was very helpful and super patient with our incessant questions. Really cute little brewery. Kinda small, but in a quaint way. Super tasty drinks, nice bartender, comfortable stools. For someone who loves mules of all variations this was a great find.
