I saw Monica yesterday, and she did a great job. I haven't had many massages, but this was definitely the most comfortable massage experience I've had. Mantis is clean and simple, and the music isn't obnoxious or cheesy like most places I've been to. Monica started by asking what areas I'd like to focus on for the 60-minute massage. I told her I felt generally tight all over. I got a full body massage with attention to some problem areas. She even had some recommendations for daily stretching. Overall, it was a very nice atmosphere, and I'd highly recommend Mantis. read more

Great massage from Danielle. She focused on some problem areas and gave me good info on what to do at home. Professional and well kept facility. Thanks! read more

My husband bought me a 90 minute massage as a gift for the holidays, so that I could get a prenatal massage. I scheduled it at 37 weeks, which was later than I had originally intended. It turned out to be a happy accident, because I was experiencing a lot of swelling in my hands and ankles at that point. Kelsey brought me into the room for a consultation before we started the massage, so I mentioned the swelling to her. She said we could focus on increasing my circulation to help reduce the swelling. As this was my first massage ever, I was initially worried about being exposed and uncomfortable with the massage experience, however, the entire space was very relaxing and Kelsey put me immediately at ease. It was definitely one of the more relaxing experiences I've ever had, and the swelling visibly shifted the next day and disappeared by day two. read more

cute place, sorta in a janky strip mall, service is good and freindly. email weekly speaicls! not as fancy as im used to more of a homey hippie vibe read more

My first visit to Mantis was yesterday. My neck, shoulders and upper back have been really bothering me - a lot! Abby really worked on my problem areas and I felt so much better when I left. A big part of the problem may be stress from my school schedule. I have signed up for three more massages before I start my Summer classes. Update! Having a lot of trouble with my neck. Monica did some targeted work on me that has helped a lot....These women REALLY know their stuff. Take care of yourself - get an appointment and don't let whatever your problem is get worse. read more

I am a runner and have had ankle tendonitis, IT band, calf and other issues. I had a great massage with Kyra, she worked all of my problem areas and i left feeling like a new runner. I highly recomend them. read more

This is an amazing place. Super clean and calming atmosphere. Adequate pricing for incredible service. On-line scheduling system makes it very easy to book appointments. Simply love the place and very recommend it! read more

I've had massages a few times in my life and have always left with something of a "meh" feeling. Often I didn't feel like my feedback was taken (beyond just regarding pressure) and I didn't feel like it was addressing my own therapeutic needs. All that changed with Mantis. I didn't have a therapist preference and was matched up to Monica based on scheduling. She did an amazing job at doing exactly what I asked while also showing me what was possible with more involved body work. She immediately addressed several pain areas and began working with them to improve the feeling in my head, neck, shoulders, back, and arms. She even ended by showing my several stretches I could be doing on my own. It was a wonderful experience and I plan to return in a couple of weeks for deeper work. Highly recommended if you don't have a go-to massage therapy place or if you've had a bad experience in the past with another place. read more

Had a prenatal massage with Ann Marie - 60 minutes of bliss! I slept better last night than I have in weeks/months. Very professional, extremely clean, and an all-around great experience. I'll be back for sure! read more

This was my first visit to Mantis and I will be back. Very warm and inviting vibe. Taylor was awesome and this was one of the best massages I have ever had! She really knows what she is doing and I feel great today.....so thanks Taylor! read more

Sandra Dryden gave me the best massage ever!!! Totally recommend her and mantis!!! The space was clean and very comfortable. She took her time and asked what my expectations were and what I felt I needed. Do yourself a favor and visit this place and Sandra!! read more

Loved my experience. Rosalyn is the best massage therapist ever! Deep tissue massage, changed my attitude for the day.

I've had a lot of massages in my day. I want more of a get-all-the-kinks-out-even-if-it-makes-me-cry type massage. Makala delivered. She got the knots out of my shoulders which is a feat only one other person has ever been able to do (and they had to do cupping). AND she basically fixed my hip pain that had been keeping me up at night for about a week. She knew the exact points to combat the tension. I was amazed. I plan to come back. read more

Great 75 min deep tissue massage with Makala! Nice, clean, professional atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I had several appointments with Taylor, advanced therapist, when I was suffering with a frozen shoulder. I went in for 30 minute massages that focused on my shoulders and neck 1-2 times a week for two months. During that time, I worked on stretching my arm up against the wall at least 10 times a day and reaching my arm up to grab a bar several times a day for a minute. It all paid off. Taylor has worked with other clients that have had frozen shoulder so she has a good understanding. You can trust her. I really credit the massages with helping. Of course they felt great, but also, when I would stretch my arm up, other parts of my body would come out of alignment and my neck hurt. I tried physical therapy and chiropractic care also, which were fine. I tried those from February until beginning of June. I went to Mantis Massage in July and August. By September, I was on the road to recovery. read more

I didn't come to Mantis with any particular pain, but to keep balanced as I train for my first half marathon, and reduce stress. Venessa listened to all the places I thought I was holding tension, addressed them, and thoughtfully spent time in places I had forgotten about/had thought resolved. She also sent me home with things I could do to help tight areas. Finally, Venessa was really respectful with pressure, knowing I had not been used to deep pressure, but nonetheless being effective. I'm not sure when I'll be able to come back, but I definitely plan to! read more

A wonderful massage with Ash. She really worked out the kinks!

Abby was probably the best massage therapist I've ever been to. She did not hold back on pressure, and really got into my problem areas. She also was able to give me tips on how to modify my workouts to avoid the same problem areas getting knotted up again. I can't wait to go back. read more

Elisa was Fabulous! Her touch was firm and she knew exactly what she was doing. I made a second appointment right away! You will not disappointed if you book a massage with Elisa. read more

AMAZING massages! Thank you Melissa & Ann Marie. We'll be coming back on the reg.

I have had many many massages and this one was the absolute best! I worked with Laura who is so warm and instantly made me feel comfortable. It was my birthday so I decided to treat myself and get a 90 minute massage. Laura practiced the perfect combination of pressure and control, and gave each muscle equal amount of attention. I could literally feel the tension pouring out of my muscles and felt as if I was melting into the massage table. She also provided an amazing music selection that added to my ability to fully relax. It was so relaxing and I felt SO much better. After the session she gave me several very helpful tips on exercises to reduce the amount of tension on certain muscles. From the tea and origami in the waiting room to the massage itself, I am 100% satisfied and happy with my experience at Mantis. I will absolutely be returning and will be recommending Laura to friends. Thank you! read more

I've gotten an awesome massage from all 4 current therapists at Mantis (Laura, Kyra, Sarah, and Melissa). You can't go wrong with any of them. Melissa was the perfect combination of relaxation and therapy. I know some massages have to hurt in order to help with the my back problems, but she seemed to know when to back off and my back felt great afterwards. read more

I scheduled my massage at mantis , based on yelp reviews, after suffering for 3 days from a pulled or strained muscle. I was in so much pain that I wasn't sleeping at night. Ash was my massage therapist, and it was hands down the best massage I have ever had ( I have been getting a massage for 13 years, usally every 3 months but haven't found a place since moving here in 2010). I have finally found my place! I left with my soreness 95% gone, and I slept last night for the 1st time in 3 days!! So glad I found this place when I did!! read more

I went to Mantis massage last year while making a stop in Austin. I received THE BEST massage from the most professional staff. The place is quiet, clean and relaxing. Definitely recommend!! read more

Kelsey was amazing. Extremely professional, methodical and knowledgeable. One of the best massage therapists I've ever been to. Will definitely be back read more

I just got a prenatal massage from Izzy. It was seriously one of the best massages I've ever gotten. I'm definitely going back to her again. I would definitely recommend her, especially for a prenatal massage. read more

Wow! I just finished receiving a one hour massage and I feel like a gazillion bucks. She has incredibly strong hands and gives an incredibly soothing massage. She is friendly, professional, and her rates are unbeatable! 5 stars! read more

Easy online booking. Friendly customer service. Small parking lot. Massage was good but not great to warrant another appointment.

Been here a couple times and extremely pleased each time. Grace was great and explained the cause of my issues and things I can do to help.

I came here for some rest and relaxation and got a (60) minute massage. I had Becky as my massage therapist, and she was great. Pros: Clean environment, nice lighting, great massage, did the full hour, hot tea, Becky was clean and very relaxing. Cons: The music wasn't zen or waves crashing relaxing music, it was some sort of folky music. and the Price! It came out to be $85 and that was with a $5 off new client coupon! It would be $78 for a 60 minute massage! That is really expensive on this side of Austin. Another con, was that they have a "suggested" tip sign by the register. The "suggested" tip is $15 on a (60) minute massage. Um excuse me, but $15 on an already $78 for (60) minute massage is OUTRAGEOUS! My usual place charges $45 for a 60 minute massage, and does a pretty good job. So without my $5 off special and with the suggested tip it would have came out to be $93 for a freakin' 60 minute massage. Just crazy. When I told her I was giving a $12 tip she kind of looked at me like I was cheap. Lady.. I don't think so. You have to had to give me a way longer massage for such a large tip. They also charge extra for an "advance therapist." ALOT more. So for a 60 minute massage with an advanced therapist you'll be paying in excess of $100 for a 60 minute massage. Egregious and presumptuous. Never again. read more

I had my first appointment with Sarah at Mantis yesterday and it was the best I've had in a loooong time. I've struggled to find a good massage therapist to see regularly and I think I've finally found the right place at Mantis. Online scheduling was easy, the location is convenient, and the environment was great. Definitely coming back. read more

This is the first time in my life that I've decided to a review. I just had the most wonderful 90 minute massage with Luci Hamling today! Wow......she found every little thing that was wrong and actually worked on them ( unlike other therapists who find things wrong and "run out of time")). Thank you Luci for a wonderfully detailed massage! I will be back again! You rock! :) read more

Such a good massage!!! Masseuse was not overwhelmingly welcoming, but did an absolutely fantastic job. Would recommend highly.

Mantis is a great place, and Chelsea is the best! I consider myself a "professional massage receiver." I have had dozens upon dozens of massages in my life across the country - from Seattle to Miami, and many cities in between. Chelsea, by far, is the best masseuse I have ever encountered. Her technique is flawless. The pressure she applies is perfect, and she is very quick to adjust if she notices tension in your back and shoulders. Chelsea is also incredibly pleasant and easy to talk to before, during and after the session. Thank you Chelsea for the fantastic service! I will definitely continue to return to Mantis Massage as my work schedule allows. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Kyra & Mantis Massage! I am a runner and I have to say that Kyra knew exactly where I needed to stretched, where I needed trigger point, and where I needed to have more pressure. I definitely had to "breathe through" a few minutes - amazing pressure! Felt wonderful afterwards. Can't wait to go back. read more

Wow! All I can say is what a wonderful massage I received there. The other reviews were spot on and there is little I can add. Great massage! read more

Like others have mentioned previously, Kyra was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, even giving advice on what I can do at home (specifically for running, too). Kyra also asked more than once if the pressure was okay. The no frills aspect is great and it's extremely easy to navigate her website and request an appointment or make changes. The time/price options are perfect, too. I look forward to my next visit. Word. read more

Laura-Ann is the bomb!! She listened to me and delivered an awesome 90 minute massage. When visiting Austin again, I will definitely be going to Mantis Massage again!! read more

This was the best massage I have ever gotten. Kelsey was amazing. I went in wanting some relaxation as well as relief from some lower back and neck pain. It was all that and more. I left feeling so relaxed and pain free. I don't go for massages on a regular basis - it's more of just a occasional treat. However - next time I need a massage I won't be on yelp looking for where to go. I'll be going to back to Mantis for sure! read more

I went to Mantis Massage for the first time this weekend and really enjoyed the experience. Everyone was welcoming, prices are reasonable and booking is made easy online. I'll certainly be back. read more
