I had a massage with Abby today, and I have no regrets! She was very attentive to my concerns and trouble spots, as well working out some tight spots that I didn't even know we're tight. It felt like every touch and movement was very purposeful. Abby was professional and respect and I feel confident recommending her/Mantis Massage to friends and fellow Yelpers. I can honestly say that I will be making another appointment in the near future. Thanks for a great massage! read more

I decided to get a massage after having back pain from work. Mantis Massage was highly rated and recommended by a co-worker. I now see why. Kalli Wild was my massage therapist for 3 sessions and she did an incredible job. Her consultations at the beginning of each session allowed me to talk through the areas that I wanted to focus on. She was attentive and followed through on my requests. During the massage, Kalli was both professional and personable. She played the type of music I wanted and was sensitive to the level of pressure from the massage. The massages alleviated my lower back pain and felt great so I highly recommend Kalli at Mantis Massage. read more

Love the online booking. Makes it so easy to find an appointment that works with my schedule. This place has a great vibe, and everyone is friendly. Karey is amazing. She really listens to what's going on and customizes the massage. read more

I hurt myself playing golf, and after 3 weeks of pain was ready to try anything for relief. Mantis was highly rated on yelp and I now see why. The atmosphere was clean and relaxing, and my masseuse Karey was knowledgeable and attentive. She listened to my issues and explained what she would be doing and how to tap out if it hurt too much. She really prioritized my problem areas, and even gave me exercise and diet recommendations to help me heal and avoid injury in the future. read more

Kalli was very attuned and did a great job on my lower back. Have some discs issues and feel much better after treatment.

I had a fantastic massage from Chelsea, and I'll definitely be returing. I have a reoccuring horrible tension knot at the top of my neck and not only did she get it out, but it hasn't come back which has never happened before. All the stars! read more

What a relief! For several months I had been very tense in the shoulder and back area. Then I set up a 60 minute massage at Mantis. After feeling the therapeutic benefits I have decided to try and get in at least once per month for a massage. I feel that this will be a great way to promote my long term health. read more

Meh. Not the injured body knowledge that wS advertised. I NEED SOME TOUCH, And although she was really sweet, I left wanting. You know the hippie ding clink music, I assume it's known to calm? I'm so sorry, really, but ithe gong-style sound in my ear made me crazy inside and really I couldn't wait to get out of there. It was rote, that standard 'route' from feet to shoulder blades. Very safe, no questions, although it's very clear my body has been seriously broken and put back together again-- why, why when I mentioned the concentration on injured muscles and what I know to be beneficial spiritually and physically - not a graze even. She asked me for a tip about 25%, so I actually had to run to ATM and go back. No thank you call or note, btw. Anyway, after having been so darn happy the'd accepted me as a 1st time client, thinkigrhst via yelp and their own descriptive, I'd be having just what I neeeded--I woulda paid more, I woulda waited a day, but I was brought in under clear verbal hopes extant on my end, only to fall in seemingly altered attention and intake. I am super bummed. My body is just kind of shivering because I really need some intuitive and knowledgable MANUPULATION of my poor injured wrecked but strong core body. C'mon - I'd hope in sperfecthopethst even a personal trainer /masseuse/strength guide could be out there. I'm legit, have records, will respond and dedicate - I won't waste your time if you've got it to help me. Thank you. Not sure how one does this, for ow I'll just check back often. Tae good care. read more

I had my first massage at Mantis the other day and it was great. I went in for a neuromuscular massage because I had strained my back. Monica did a great job and was very informative. I will definitely go back to Mantis Massage. read more

What a joy to find this place! I love how easy it was to book. I booked the day before after some stressful work travel and am so glad that I did! I'll definitely be using Mantis more often. read more

I have been to Mantis a few times and have always had great experiences but not so much recently. I had a massage with Ash and experienced the actual massage to be unpleasant and afterward- not helpful in relieving some of my neck and shoulder pain. It felt and still feels like a waste of time and money. read more

I am pretty sure that this was the best massage I've ever had in my entire life. Kelsey was amazing. I felt an inch taller when when she was finished. I also wanted to cry and hug her but that better of it. haha Very reasonably priced, clean and friendly. I will definitely be back. read more

Had one of the best massages of my life! Kelsey really helped me out. She listened to what I needed and made me feel at ease while she worked out all of my problem spots. I feel like a million bucks! The space is clean, comfortable and very cute! Great central location as well. read more

I had my first massage since 2011 with Abby today and thought it was wonderful. The atmosphere was great, the location wasn't terribly difficult to find, and the hours are super convenient, but really what made it a great experience was Abby. She applied exactly the right amount of pressure, was comfortable with both a silent massage and with chatting through parts of it, and gave me a couple great tips to help ease my shoulder and neck pain in-between visits. I've already scheduled my next appointment with her! read more

Great place for a serious sports massage. Wonderful people, professional and great for any person. I have been coming here every few weeks for about 3 years now and am glad I found this place. I was training for climbing the Grand Teton with some friends so I had really stepped up my workout routine at CG to 2-3 fitness classes most days to build up my cardio and endurance. No amount of rolling was going to help here so I Yelped massage places in Austin and luckily I found Mantis. I definitely attribute my ability to keep such a high level workout routine (8 to 10 fitness classes/week + stair-climbing with a backpack of rocks for 3 to 5 hrs each Sat morning) to the therapists at Mantis helping my body recover each week with a deep tissue sports massage. The therapists I have had body work done have all been really knowledgeable (they take additional classes on musculature, health, etc to continue to hone their expertise) and they really know how to work out the knots - from exercise, bad posture, too much sitting at work, or even the bed waking up with a sore back. They have been amazing. I am not currently training for any mountain but still like to go every two weeks to keep my body aligned and recommend it for everyone. read more

I had a great 60-minute massage with Diana at the Airport location. I felt very relaxed throughout the session and much more flexible in the days afterwards. Highly recommended! read more

I went back for a second time and was even more impressed than the first time. Melissa is amazing- I feel a thousand times better than I did before I started seeing her. The price is right, the scheduling is easy, and the massage is fantastic- done and done! read more

My boyfriend scheduled me an appointment for my birthday and I was not disappointed. The location was great I came in on a Friday at 5:30 traffic was not too bad. The interior was amazing as soon as you walk in you can smell the eucalyptus oil. I was greeted kindly by my misseaus she offered me tea and water with a big smile. I did not wait very long we even got started early. she did read my notes as I complained about sore calves. after I got comfortable she immediately got to work. She was amazing. I have never had a massage like this one. I am definitely recommending it to friends and family and I definitely owe my boyfried a massage, so we will be coming back my misseaus was Kearey Green. And she was amazing! I feel great. What a great gift. read more

Calm soothing atmosphere, extraordinarily friendly and attentive staff, great location. I can only speak to Ash's skill, but she absolutely lived up to her description as the right therapist for desk jockeys. I've done deep tissue, I've done ART (Active Release Therapy), I've done all kinds of yoga, I've done every kind of chiropracty under the sun, I've done accupuncture, and none of them compared to Ash's amazing hands. Truly a healer she realigns and resets you so you can get back to coding :-) read more

Amazing. Such a comfortable environment when you walk in. I truly felt like Becca cared about me and my issues and never once tried to upsell me like other, corporate massage chains. I will absolutely be coming back! read more

Came here for the 60 minute massage with Ann-Marie! She was so attentive to my needs and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire experience. The rooms were very clean and the waiting room was lovely. I'll be a little sore tomorrow but all worth getting my knots worked out! Definitely will be coming back! Great Experience w Ann Marie! read more

Had a great first experience here. I started an exercise regimen recently and have been really feeling it in my muscles. It was getting to the point that I couldn't sleep at night because my lower back was hurting so bad. Decided it was time to get a massage, and found Mantis on Yelp (so thanks to everyone else who reviewed it!). I arrived late and felt horrible, but the massage therapist didn't make me feel bad about it, and still gave me the full hour massage. She explained to me that this isn't a quick-fix and that I need to incorporate more stretching and yoga into my routine, and I agree. The massage itself was wonderful, and since then I haven't had any problems sleeping at night. I plan to come back at least once every 2 months to stay feeling this great. Also, the price is hard to beat! read more

The massage I got at Mantis yesterday caused me to have the best Sunday ever! Monica is a skilled masseuse that was attentive to my current lifestyle and previous injuries. I'm not one to get regular massages (I've only had 1 before going to Mantis), but I believe I'm going to have to have to start. I'm beginning my week feeling relaxed and focused. Thank you, Monica! read more

This place is amazing. I have been to about five different masseuses who specialize in myofacial work, and each of them has proven to be strong and and helpful practitioners who dramatically improve chronic pain and make detailed recommendations for maintaining the benefits of the tissue work. It really has changed my life. read more

Kendra and staff at Congress location are THE BEST! This place is a sanctuary for those who are looking for economy, quality, and tranquility. I have been 2 times and plan to go back soon. read more

Mantis was recommended to me by my daughter, who goes there frequently to address issues related to her stressful job. Hillary was wonderful at working on knots in my neck, shoulders, and back, and she located a lot of stress I wasn't even aware of in my chest and arms, which responded well to the stretching she incorporated into the massage, as well as some stretching exercises she recommended afterwards. Scalp, face, hand, and foot massages were relaxing and restorative, very thorough and thoughtful. I recommend at least a 90-minute massage to really get into "The Zone." An hour is just never enough! The atmosphere at Mantis is serene and welcoming. Altogether a great experience. read more

I never had a massage until I went here and now I realize why people get them. For just $25 I was totally loosened up and felt amazing all day afterwards! Although I don't have a large budget for massages, I'll definitely come back here every month or so. read more

I came here on vacation and was looking for a place to get a massage. I have tried out many massage places and I will have to say this has been one of my best experiences. The place is very nice and professional. Kyra was so nice and friendly and did an amazing job on the massage. She was also nice enough to give me some suggestions of things to do in the area. If I lived in Austin, I would come here all the time. read more

The massage I got from Kyra was fantastic! she got to all my tight muscles and released everything. I also loved the music she had playing. It was so much nicer than the new age stuff in most massage offices. You can also download the playlist on their blog. I will be back! read more

This was a well needed massage for my boyfriend and myself. Laura was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job taking care of us. My bf had some back pain and Laura did a deep tissue massage and she took care of that pain. Time flew by and the next thing you know this was one of the best massages we have had. My bf loved his bday gift and is still talking about the massage! read more

Mantis is in an unassuming shopping center on Airport that is a little hard to spot, but I'm so glad I found them. Sarah was very helpful, discussing all my trouble areas and giving my tips for stretching in between massages (since I tend to only splurge occasionally). She really dug into my knots and used some techniques that got to the source of the pains I was having. I left feeling a little woozy but so relaxed. I plan on going back as soon as I can! read more

Kaya was fantastic! I get regular massages and this was the best I have ever received. She is amazingly strong. My wife and I were visiting Austin over Valentine's weekend and wanted to get a massage. They were able to adjust their schedule so we could go at the same time. We were in different rooms, but moving our appointments to the same time was a big help! Thank you Kaya. read more

Great massage with Laura-Ann! I am so happy to have found this place. And the prices are reasonable as well!

Excellent massage from Monica. Highly professional and I'll be back.

I had an 8 am massage with Lucy yesterday. Before we got started she took a few minutes to ask me what my hopes were, what areas i wanted the focus on etc. i also let her know about my injuries and what areas to avoid. My massage was 90 minutes long and it was 90 minutes of bliss. Lucy found every kink and knot and worked on it. She avoided the injury areas. She was so thoughtful and attentive to remember them. I am a customer for life. I love this place. The only thing I wonder about is if they can use aromatherapy. read more

What can I say that hasn't already been said? I would book a massage here every day if I had the funding. Liz's massage skills were genius. She was professional, friendly, and very, very talented. After an 8 hour law school exam, I could barely turn my head. Mantis had a last minute massage open and I jumped on it. So glad I did. I feel physically able to sit through another four hour exam tomorrow whereas before I really did not. Mantis itself is well maintained, immaculately clean, and I liked the choices of music and lighting. Thanks Mantis! read more

I was gifted a massage and was scheduled to meet with Becca for a 30 min session. I explained everything to her including how I will need to be ready for a baseball tournament. She hit all the right spots, bedside manners were perfect and was super knowledgeable. I suggest you give Mantis a whirl. Great environment too, Becca treated me like a person and dont really get that human interaction these days. Love Mantis and Becca will be my massage therapist moving forward. I dont review lightly either, Becca was excellent and I feel 100% a day later. read more

Great vibe at this place and really affordable for the quality and length of massages you'll get. You can get super specific on the type of massage you're looking for. At the South Congress location, there's plenty of parking which is rare for the area. They also have an easy rewards program - visit 5 times and get $15 off. Love this place and will definitely become a regular! read more

I've been coming to Mantis for some years. It is by far the best place to get a massage. I've booked various therapists, and all have been professional. Each one has unique skills and abilities that leave you feeling relaxed. My daughter and I booked a session for yesterday with Kelsey. Omgoodness! It was THE BEST massage that I've ever gotten. She uses a rocking technique that is sooo relaxing. She also worked out knots and revitalized tired areas of my back, legs, and arms that I didn't know I had. After our sessions, and grabbing an ice cream taco from Nada Moo, my daughter and I slept like babies for the rest of the day. We will definitely be booking with Kelsey again. We highly recommend Mantis massage!! read more

Don't let this lovely lady's age fool you - she is a seriously excellent massage therapist. My only complaint was I wanted it to go on three times as long! Strong hands, soothing and healing touch, and pointed things out about my muscles that no other therapists had noticed and were very helpful. Highly recommended. read more
