Manoa Nails has been my go-to for years and I usually go with either friends, my sisters and/or one of my cousins. By calling ahead a few days in advance, I have always been able to make an appointment for two or three pedis. Occasionally, one of my sisters wants to do a mani as well and they are always accommodating, managing to get it done with no disruption or extra waiting time for the rest of us doing pedis only. Everyone I've taken there has been impressed with the exceptional service and the reasonable pricing. The quality and durability of their pedis is so excellent that I usually don't need to redo my paint for at least 6-8 weeks, sometimes longer. The technicians are friendly and chatty if you feel like talking but also perfectly happy if you just feel like relaxing and reading quietly or talking amongst friends. Their massage chairs are amazing and a real plus in my book. As other reviewers have said, you can pay via charge card or cash but tips are cash only. I can't recommend Manoa Nails enough! read more

The BEST manicure I have ever gotten! I took a chance and got gel for the first time after only getting a regular manicure or acrylics occasionally. I did t want my nails to become super delicate or anything but I also wanted my nails to look nice so I figured I'd give Manoa Nails and gel nails a chance and I was not disappointed. I walked In and was immediately helped! I didn't catch the name of my technician but she was very personable and nice! She did an absolutely amazing job on my nails and I'm definitely impressed! I can't stop looking at my nails and I'm definitely coming back because the price was as amazing as the end product! read more

I've been here at least 5 times and I live all the way on the west side but I will make an effort to get my nails done here if possible. Everyone that has helped me so far was very nice and welcoming. I'm always on the go and have a tight schedule so I like to be able to get in and get out. Each time I went in to get a gel manicure it took about 25-30 minutes. The price is very reasonable and that is one of the reason why I will make the commute or stop by when I'm in town to get my nails done. I took off one star because although I don't get my nails done too often I notice that the longest my manicure has stayed on without and cracks or chips is about two weeks. It could be just me and how active I am. I plan on continuing to get my nails done here. :) read more

I love this salon the ladies here speak good English and are very friendly. The only warning is make an appointment as they are always busy so if you need to get your mani pedi done by a certain time plan of making an appointment. The salon is also clean and the public restrooms are right around the corner. Thank you Manoa Nails for being so awesome! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I almost don't want to write a review because I am afraid more people will come and make appointments harder to book. I have lived all over Oahu and dozens of nails salons over the last 15 years or so, and this is the only place that I always walk away feeling completely satisfied. They are skilled, friendly, good rates, and my nails never chip. read more

Brought in a design I found online and she created a version for me that was absolutely perfect! I had a quick eyebrow wax, due to my lack of time so I'll review an ew when I have more time for a full service. Clean, bright, plenty of friendly staff. Worth passing up a ton of nail places to get services at Manoa Nails. Went in on 24 March. To correct my first review, they DO do paraffin wax pedis! Tina is awesome and never backs down from a design challenge! read more

I've been here a couple times through recommendations from my friends. I'm always pleased with the service and my overall experience at Manoa nails. Service: I called on a Sunday to see if they had openings for a gel manicure and made an appointment for that day. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. I am very pleased with how my manicure came out and will definitely be back the next time I get my nails done. A gel manicure is $25. Parking: Lots of parking because it's located in Manoa marketplace on the second floor! (near longs/safeway) read more

Worst service EVER!! I had gotten my nails done which turned out horrible.. The shape wasn't consistent I had asked them to file/reshape the tech said all finished I have appointment right now u come back later u don't like. the next day I had gone back to ask them to fix it which they said sorry all booked. Come tomorrow. Tomorrow came they said sit down and wait... waited two hours.. I see them constantly looking at me talking their language which made me feel uncomfortable.. read more

Go here if you have a lot of time. It's on the second floor of Manoa Marketplace near the post office. The sign on the window says "Manoa Nails" (plural). My pedicure took about an hour. Would have been nice and relaxing, except I had to be at a wedding rehearsal. Ended up going to the rehearsal with beautiful nails, dressed in boro clothes, with hamajang hair. Pedicure cost $26 without tip. It's probably my bad for thinking I had enough time... The workers were nice. They asked permission to cut and scrape. There were lots of colors to choose from. I didn't have to wait to start my pedicure even though I was a walk-in. They use UV lights to dry and no fan. -- They massaged my calves so hard with exfoliating lotion that I wanted to cry. Masochists, enjoy! read more

My new favorite! It's new, it's hidden, it's spacious and it's quiet. I like to relax during my mani/pedi's and this is the perfect spot to do it. I've gone here twice and don't plan on going any where else. The ladies are very sweet and accommodating. They don't try to push products or services on you either, which is definitely a plus. The thing I like most is that i'ts peaceful. I've gone to so many nail salons where it's crowded and the techs are yelling at each other in Vietnamese across the room... not a very joyful experience, but this place is nothing like that. I love it and will definitely be going back! read more

Needed to get a pedicure...somewhat doctor's orders...and a friend said she had an appointment set up for Manoa Nails, so I just thought I'd tag along. She's pretty picky and her nails always look nice, so I thought, why not? First off - let me just say, when I decide to get a mani/pedi, I'm looking to get pampered. Like a good massage on my legs and feet! Working on my cuticles...doing all things I just can't do myself. And I wanna come out feeling relaxed and awesome. That didn't happen. I usually go to Smiley's or Rainbow Nails for a pedicure and usually it takes about 1/2 hour, maybe 45 minutes - depends...but this pedicure was over and done with in less than 20 minutes. I hadn't gotten a pedicure in like MONTHS so I figured, it'd be pretty nasty - lots of cuticle cutting and shit...but that barely happened. I mean, I scrub my foot in the shower longer than the lady did. The massage was, meh. Totally not as detailed as Smiley's or Rainbow Nails. I also got a manicure - same thing - super quick. Barely touched the cuticles - and trust when I say my cuticles needed some attention. They were barely looked at. Also, she trimmed my nails - quite short - but also crooked...and barely filed them!! I tried to file it at home, but if I file it even, it's like I have no nail left. Plus, like my nails are still all rough so I can easily scratch your eyeball out if I get pissed at you. AND a small sliver of nail polish is no where to be seen on my middle finger. Maybe I should take a picture of it and show you...nah...too bummed right now. So a manicure and pedicure combined time = less than 45 minutes, total cost $37.00. If you're looking for a place to just get in and get out - this place is for you. If you're looking for something more, I say, keep on looking. read more

I haven't been to Manoa Nails in about 5 years. I totally regret not returning sooner! I got a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. I had 2 different ladies. First, I had my pedicure and she did a very good job! Very thorough and took her time. My favorite part was the massage! Then, I had my manicure. She was also very thorough and took her time. I wanted a certain design on my nails and that's when a different lady came and did it. I wanted a Jack Skellington Design. She did an excellent job and I absolutely love how it turned out! I am definitely going to return sooner rather then years later! read more

If I don't come here my right toenail starts to be so painful I wanna chop it off. It's just the way it grows. I never pick the lady I just take whoever is available and they all know how to do the nail surgery that I need lol. Walking out of there I always feel good. Mentally because it's not expensive and I don't feel like I'm ruining the family vacation budget and physically because my stupid toenail doesn't hurt anymore. And my husband and toddler can hang out in Safeway puting ridiculous things in the wagon or get snacks or go to the park across the street. They are not bored waiting. We always make a fun afternoon out of my toenail rescue day. read more

I had a gelish manicure done here on 9/7, 4 1/2 weeks later, my manicure still looks amazing. There are no traces of the polish lifting. This manicure has been through several countries and airports, a wedding, and several days of field work handling equipment and held up to everthing which says a lot since I am not a delicate being. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because my last manicure here did not last nearly this long. I wish I could remember which gal did my nails this time...ugh! Overall friendly service and very clean. They open a new pack of sterilized instruments for each client which is a huge relief for a germaphobe like me. read more

While I was thrilled with the price of a gel mani, I am not thrilled that two days later I got my first chip. The gel was cheap and the girl who did my nails did a good job, but I could tell that they weren't as high quality as what I've had at other places. I probably won't be coming back here again read more

Yay! Found a place to get a $25 pedicure. This is much cheaper than other places but still good quality. The massage chairs were comfortable and I was able to do a walk-in on a Saturday morning with no wait. It started getting more busy though so I'm sure this is a popular place for manicures and pedicures. read more

Recently, I've been craving getting acrylic nails. This would be the first time for me, so I wanted to find somewhere with a good reputation, close to home so I can count on them if they end up being good, and as a college student, well-priced. I came to Manoa Nails on a Wednesday afternoon before a family dinner. I was the only one there for a while but during my time a few more people popped in and their familiarity with the staff led me to think they were regulars (good sign)! The salon was clean and they had a lot of different options for colors and designs. My nails took probably under an hour and so far I'm really happy with them and plan on going back here for refills and other nail-related errands. The only problem I have is that the painting is a LITTLE bit messy (just not immaculate) but my cuticles have been kind of fucked up lately so I'm not pressed. If you live in Manoa, go to UH or are just in the area one day I would definitely recommend coming here. If anything you should come here just to get snacks at Kay's after. read more

Manoa Nails - the only pic i have of my nails lol - Nail Salons Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

So glad I found this place! It has become my go-to for a quick and cheap gel mani or pedi. The salon is clean and the location in Manoa Marketplace is so convenient and there's tons of parking. It's always been easy for me to make an appointment. The massage chairs are lovely, and they have an ample selection of polish colors for both regular and gel nails. A pedi is just $25 and you can add a regular mani on for just $10 more (or step it up to a gel mani for another $10). Josey is my favorite technician, she pays great attention to detail and always does a great job! read more

I think this is about the third of fourth time I've been here so far, and unfortunately, I didn't get Josey. However, I did get another woman who was really sweet. I brought in the woman the I take care of on the side, she's 97 years old, and the woman took very good care of her. She was patient and took her time and didn't half ass the job. She took care of her just as how she would take care of any other customer. That's what I appreciate the most. When we went to other nail salons, they half assed her nails and charged her a leg and an arm. But I'm glad we switched nail salons and came here instead. Their customer service is awesome! read more

Over the years I have been to this nail salon because of the convenience of it's location. Within the past year though this has turned into my favorite nail salon! They are very kind and always seem happy. The two gel manicures I have gotten here lasted longer than any other gel manicure I have gotten. It can get busy so make sure you make an appointment if you want to get in on a certain day/time. read more

This my second time getting a manicure here and I think I found my nails spot. The workers are very friendly and and efficient. The lady I had was very attentive and detail oriented. Ive been to other salons where the nail shape was crooked or they cut my nail too short and it bled. :( The environment is clean, comfortable, and spacious. I like the fact that their tools are sealed in a bag and they use a fresh pack for each customer. The staff is very friendly and not pushy on up selling nail services. And I don't feel like they're talking about me in their language. I've been to other places where it felt like they're talking about you in Vietnamese and it was uncomfortable. The price is reasonable $25 for a mani. They scrub your feet and legs. The best part I also like are their massage chairs which are awesome. I feel like I'm getting a massage while getting my nails done which is relaxing. I def recommend this place to get your nails done! read more

My wife and I got mani-pedis today and had a great time at this nice neighborhood salon. The full-service mani-pedi is a great bargain and the women work very carefully and efficiently - consummate professionals! One nice benefit is that the salon overlooks the farmer's market at Manoa marketplace, so you can get some great produce while you're there, or have lunch at any of the attractive little restaurants in the marketplace. read more

Pretty standard nail place. It was easy to make an appointment. Everyone's English skills were good and it was way clean! I didn't notice them bringing tools out of clean bags or a toaster-like sterilizer, but they were ready for our appointment already and things seemed pretty clean. I took my sister in law here who hadn't gotten toes done for at least five years (since her first kid was born). She had been talking about a mini get away like this for a while. We has a good time ! There was a good selection of nail polishes by opi and china glaze. We both had pretty nails at the end, but the massaging was a little lackluster for the price. I did like how there was no awkward conversation about how I don't want gel. Maybe it's because I'm from California and the competition is fierce, but I can get a righteous mani pedi for $25. Here it's the cost of a pedi alone. If I lived here full time I'd be using jamberry nails like all the time. So spendy for manicures!! read more

Had a mani pedi done. Ann took the time to show me another option to my nail polish and I told her I really liked it, and thanked her for her suggestion. I made an appointment a day before and the services were excellent and was not rushed. The prices are reasonable, as I spent way more money and got less services at other places. My mani pedi took about 1 hr and 20 minutes as I also put decoration on my toes. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Manoa nails is a great little gem in Manoa. I had a few hours of break from summer TA training at UH Manoa and have been meaning to get my nails done. Decided to just do it; why not, I had two and a half hours to kill. I wanted a place real close to Manoa near a coffee shop. Looked on Yelp, saw good reviews, but it was really the price list that drew me in. The prices were so good! Normally I go to a different spa for my nails and waxing, but that was too far a drive for a last minute decision. I'm so glad I tried this place out! It was very clean and bright, easy to find, workers were friendly, and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I hate when I walk into a place and I have to summon The Force within to get someone to make eye contact with me. Not an issue here. AND they were able to take me in last minute since it was slow then. The aesthetician I had was a young 2nd gen local vietnamese woman so she could actually speak english, which was nice. We had conversation off and on. I love how my nails came out. They have a great selection of gel/shellac nails and designs. It's about a month after and they still look exactly how they did when I came out of the salon, minus some space at the top due to my nails growing out. Definitely would recommend this salon to friends. Since the prices are pretty good here, I'm thinking about coming back with my fellow TA's for a little R&R before we grade assignments...or maybe we should wait until after.. lol. read more

My favorite place to get my nails done! You know that feeling you get in some nail salons that the technicians are talking stink about you? Well, I've been coming here for a couple years now and I've never had that feeling. The ladies have always been polite and courteous, plus they really know their nail stuff! Sure, it's not the fanciest nail salon but I always come out, looking and feeling great and isn't that the most important part? read more

I think Manoa Nail is a great place to get a mani/pedi if you're on a budget. The mani/pedi is $34.99 and my nail technician did a great job on my toes (they're still completely chip-free and I didn't have any bubbles in my polish which happens a lot when I get a pedicure). My nails turned out perfect and she shaped them exactly how I wanted them shaped. The only cons I can think of are that she had me walk over to get my nails done without any slippers or anything and parts of the floor were either wet or dirty which kind of grossed me out. Some of the chairs are ripped up and it's not the cleanest but of course you get what you pay for. Another thing was that she put this exfoliating scrub on my legs and I swear she scrubbed off about 4 layers of my skin, she literally rubbed that thing into my skin for a good 10, 15 minutes until I finally put my magazine down and was like, "um, that's painful, it's starting to burn." I recommend this place if you're on a budget and you're about the bottom line--if you don't care how it's done and you just want pretty looking nails then this is perfect for you. Just make sure to be direct and honest about what you want. read more

Amazingly affordable price too - just enough extra care but not too many frills to keep the price affordable. Will definitely be back, now that I'm local to this neighborhood. read more

I got there because I wanted to try out how it is and I saw some good reviews in yelp. So when I came the lady I had wasn't speaking at all to me and she did barely the job she had to do. After she put the acrylic on she did not even file a lot with the electric file to make everything even. Then I had to tell her that one of my nail is chipped off, because she already put on the polish without seeing it. I hoped that she can put on the polish but not even that was a good job! Iam very disappointed and ask me how the h** she got her license. If she has one... I give one star, that it's clean inside. And music which is kinda relaxing. But I will definitely never come back!! Waste of money. read more

Manoa nails is great! Super convenient if you work at UH Manoa, they can get you in and out during your lunch break! I get gel manicures and they do a quick but very nice job and when my nails grow out I have very little issues with peeling, etc. I have also gotten waxed by Josey's mom before, she's very good and quick and puts enough humor into it to make it as painless as able. I highly recommend you stop by to check it out. I tend to make appointments as these places have loyal customers who come by so always smart to call in even if it's just an hour before to see if they can take you.
