so convenient! i'll be a regular customer! it's located in restaurant row and i was expecting the prices will be a bit higher due to its location but it wasn't (score). they have 3 spots for pedicure, i think 3 for manicure. The nail polishes are a bit old and dry that I would personally will just bring my own next time. I asked for a french tip and it was an added $5. My total came out to $32. It's been 2 weeks and my nail polish are still intact.lol. The massage chairs are old, you can barely feel that it's massaging you.The space looks cramp as well but they did a good job on my pedicure that I wouldn't mind coming here after work all the time! they validate parking, accepts credit card, no apple pay. read more

I was debating whether or not to write this review because the ladies that work here are so sweet, but the quality of the work they produced was very disappointing. I moved from the Bay Area where I found AMAZING nail techs, so my expectations are a little high, but the work from Nail Express lacked so much technique. Like I said, the ladies who work here are SO SWEET, but I wasted $60 on a mani/pedi just to remove it myself 30 mins after getting it. My nail tech put about 4 layers of nail polish on. Even though the surface was dry, the layers underneath were nowhere near dry and began to peel and shrivel in the heat. Also, it took them nearly an hour and fifteen minutes to remove my acrylic nails when it should take (at an exaggerated most) 20 minutes. read more

Made an appointment for a basic manicure They asked me 3 times what I wanted And three times I told them basic manicure with no polish. It's nice that they want to make sure you get what you asked for. No one asked me what shape I wanted my nails. Who in their right mind wants their nails to be cut blunt straight across. They are hideous. There are still ridges in my nail bed and it says their basic manicure is $15. I was charged $18 for this ugliness and now I'm immediately going to another nail place to have it done correctly. Also, the place is very dirty and the nail instruments did not look like they had been cleaned. Very disappointed. read more

Ladies were service oriented and pleasant. I came for a mani-pedi. I expected my nails to be cleaned (under the nails) and cuticles trimmed more for a polished manicured look. It was not. This was priority for me. It is a small business, therefore color choices are minimal. They did not have the standard clear pink polish for French style manicure . I was hoping this very near walkable location worked out. It is a fab location in restaurant row, however much tidiness is needed for a more modern and clean look and feel. read more

It's been a solid week since my last visit to Nail Express, and thanks to Vivian's deft touch and careful application, my manicure has lasted nearly unscathed except for a small chip on a thumbnail from tussling with a shower door at 24 Hour Fitness. The price here for a gel polish manicure is an astonishingly low $22. Add $6 for cuticle trim and it's still just $28 plus tax and tip. Best of all, Vivian has a technique of trimming and shaping the nail so that your fingers actually look slimmer. She also has a good eye for picking colors, as the gel polish looks darker in the bottle than when applied. The shop is small but efficient, with two manicure stations and three massage chairs for pedicures. Lots of current magazines to read while waiting, and walk-ins are accommodated even if it's at the 6 pm closing time. They are closed on Sunday, so plan accordingly! read more

I went to Nail Express for a "manicure/pedicure." What a joke. First of all, their "manicure" is nothing more than filing your nails and applying polish. If you want your nails trimmed or your cuticles cut, be prepared to pay more. I asked for a French manicure and was extremely disappointed. So disappointed that I had my polish taken off the same day. The pedicure was better, but I still would not rate the pedicure as being great, by any means. The design on my toe is one that my 5yr old could draw. Needless to say, I won't be returning and I would not recommend this nail place to anyone. read more

This is a hidden gem. Who knew that there was a nail salon in Restaurant Row? Nail Express was recommended to me & my daughter by her friend. I called around town and could not find better pricing than Nail Express. $48 for a gel mani w/ a regular pedi. The ladies were very sweet, professional and gave excellent customer service. In fact, the gel polish that my daughter chose did not seem to work right so Vivian applied regular polish for an event we were attending the next day and asked my daughter to return the following Monday for a complimentary gel manicure. I've been to Nail Express twice and both times were so worth the great price. Now, I don't get pedis often, so some may have much higher standards and expect cheaper prices than I do, but for $25, I am a fan. I think my lady was the owner, but I'm not sure, because she talked to me and my friend the most and took both of our payments. The pedi took 1 hr and my nails look great. She gave me a good leg and foot massage and made sure to clean up the nail polish after making my toes look perfectly painted. She also did a good job softening my feet (aka removing my callouses). Last time I got a pedi, my nail polish lasted like 3-4 weeks... and it was pretty hard to take off.. which I guess is a good and bad thing. But between surfing and jiu-jitsu, a pedi that lasts 3-4 weeks is like a miracle. Oh, she was also really cool about helping me pick colors (because I can be sooo indecisive some days) and put 5 different colors on one foot so I could decide. She also made suggestions. I really loved all this because usually people just get annoyed and impatient about my inability to make a simple decision. Super nice lady. Which reminds me of why I didn't give 5 stars.. they didn't have the exact color I was wanting (that I saw in a magazine) so I wish they had a little bit of a larger nail polish selection. read more

They did an awesome pedicure and eyebrow arch. I would come back here. Nail shops in Hawaii are so much more expensive than the mainland. I spent $40 on a pedicure and eyebrow waxing... $10 for tip. $50... hmmm. In LA, for the same type of shop and service that would have been $20, including tip. Welp, I guess here we get beautiful beaches for the additional $30. Ok, so go ahead and come here! When you can just walk in for a brow wax and the attendant gives you tips on how to draw your brows AND proceeds to pencil in the brow, WOW! She even showed me what eyebrow pencil she uses -- not the expensive department store brand, but the CVS brand. She waxed my brows, did a complimentary tutorial pencil in, AND showed me how to save money --- in less than 15 minutes! AWESOME, EXCELLENT SERVICE! read more

I am always looking for a good nail place, especially one that is convenient to downtown. Nice that this place is located in Restaurant Row- free validated parking. Nice, clean, little shop with 3 massage chairs and 2 mani tables. Mani/pedi combo is $37. Great massage on arms and legs/feet! Technicians were very meticulous. They also gave me a paraffin treatment on my hands which is included with the mani (typically an extra charge at other shops). What a deal! read more

Viviane was friendly and thorough with her job. Her massage is good. The place is small with three spa chairs and two work stations, but just clean enough for a quick mani/pedi. Located inside the business plaza, it's convenient to walk to. Pedicure is $26.40. Not too bad for this area. read more

This was my first visit to Nail Express & I have to say I was quite impressed. I had a mani/pedi. On my mani I had the CND Shellac gel mani & Vivian did an awesome job!! She was very detailed. It's a small salon but they are very good, parking is validated. I would highly recommend them. The lady who did my pedicure was also very sweet & gentle.
