Oh man this place was SHOE BOX TINY! I wanted a pedicure too bad and should have went somewhere else! The water was cold which I actually didn't mind and got such a hot day it was refreshing especially since they didn't have A/C. They are under construction badly and said they have been like that for months. They only took cash so after you finish they walk you around the corner to get cash out of the atm. Feels sketchy. Then my nails... all polish was coming off the pedicure as she was finishing she fixed it and once I got out side one nail came completely off and by the time I got on our cruise ship another came off. With in less than a week I had 4 nails of gel polish come off and my pedicure alone was $90! I asked for just a simple French tip and she added flowers and design. I've never had polish come off like that before normally my toe nail polish lasts a few months. read more

I was very fortunate to be helped by Tami herself. I'm never good at picking my color, so I just said something Christmas-y. Tami selected colors for me that were perfect. For my toes it was sparkly red with the Hawaiian touch of a hibiscus. For my nails it was an ombre of a similar color. Perfect choice since it will look great the whole holiday season. I can't remember the last time I took the time to actually write a review for a business. I picked this nail salon after seeing the positive reviews online. We were misled on the pricing of our pedicures and manicures and despite clear signage with pricing reflected, we had multiple unexpected additional charges at the end. My feet did not get scrubbed AT all, and it was explained to me that I would have had to pay extra for that. Who gets a pedicure without expecting your feet to be scrubbed as a part of a basic pedicure? We were charged an additional $20 for gel polish for each service although she verbally had said it was $5 extra. Total was $150 for 2 BASIC pedicures (with one of us not have any scrubbing of caluses) and 1 basic manicure. A bit much. Won't return. read more

Five pedi chairs and separate mani stations. They are busy and I can see why; they are very thorough and high quality. Don't cheap out and get regular polish. Get the gel, so it lasts! Many colors and finishes to choose from. They tell you the price in advance and don't push if you don't want something. Tami did my manicure and she's fantastic. This is my second time visiting Tami-A Nails. Last June, while visiting my mother, I felt like treating myself to a pedicure and found this location walking distance from our apartment. It was a great experience. This time, I'm in town because my mother passed away Christmas Eve and I need to organize her things. I was feeling pretty low and stressed and tired, so I walked around the corner to Tami-A again. Yen greeted me with a warm smile and set me up immediately. The pedicure service itself is wonderful, with massage, callus removal, paraffin wax treatment, and the nail color, all for just $45! I also got a manicure without polish, and again received a wonderful massage, cuticle care, and buffing. More than that, though, was the care and kindness Yen showed me. I am going through a hard time, and she treated me thoughtfully, giving me a respite from my grief and labor. I cannot recommend this unassuming storefront enough. It's just wonderful! read more

It's a little shop thats super busy, so maybe call ahead. The staff was friendly and professional. The deluxe pedicure included a polish and callus removal, scrub, and my feet are now so smooth and soft. The paraffin dip left my feet feeling incredibly moisturized and rejuvenated. I've been looking for a nail salon that really focuses on this kind of care, and it's hard to find this level of attention to detail back home in California.
