Was super nervous to try sugaring but Brooke and Taylor have both been SO good. I usually get the Brazilian service. They always make you feel comfortable and will always warn you when a certain area is more sensitive. They provide counter traction immediately after on your skin to decrease the pain. And overall they are both so sweet and will just strike up a normal conversation. Absolutely LOVE the results, skin always feels so clean and new and refreshed. I have been getting Brazilians (mostly waxing, but sugaring too!) for over 15 years. I love trying new places and recently tried Sugar Bar and found Vi! She is truly an angel and makes the whole experience comfortable and welcoming. Since I've been getting these done for many years, the hair grows back sparse in some areas, but it still can be a little painful. I love how sugaring gets the hair root deeper, so it takes longer to grow back. I also love how it's not hot as I definitely have had some red marks after hot waxing that take several days to fade. I have gone to Vi twice now and will most definitely be going back! Scheduling online is easy and the payment is a breeze too. The price is remarkable as well when you compare to other local sugaring/waxing services! They also sell some nice products for exfoliating and after wax care (see photo). First appointment with Sugar Bar. Will be going back for sure! Market City shop is conveniently located for me. It's cute, and has a series of comfortable single rooms which are clean and serene. Went for the bikini line (and other areas) and had my appointment with Emma (who was so patient and kind), 6-months post a surgery. Had some concerns about heat and the coloring of the scar/incision site. Sugaring is perfect as a solution, as there is limited heat. Also, was having reservations about touching the area, and Emma let me take it slow by starting with hair removal from the other areas to let me decide if we would proceed. She was friendly and chatty, talked me through the ingredients, what she was doing, and aftercare. I felt at ease, comfortable, and confident in her. Everything turned out great. About 2 weeks out since services, and skin looks great with limited/minimal maintenance on my part. No issues with the scar. Highly recommend Sugar Bar and Emma. read more

Vi is the best sugarist. I'm so thankful I read other reviews and chose to go to her She's so easy to talk to, which I'm so thankful for bc I'm so socially awkward and struggle to make convo. She's seriously the best and I can't recommend her enough. Sugaring is so much faster than waxing and the amount of time my hair takes to grow back in is so much longer compared to waxing. The room she's in is also decorated very cute and has a calming, happy vibe that's nice to be in. I was long overdue for a Brazilian - I recently moved back home from the mainland and was on the hunt for a good sugarist. I came across Sugar Bar on Yelp and stuck with them due to their good pricing and policies. Booking an appointment was simple through their website. Communication is key and I've received multiple text messages up until my appointment time/date. This location as ample, free parking available. The video directions were also helpful. Brooke, my sugarist, was very sweet and bubbly. She was efficient and great at her craft. She managed to keep the conversation going smoothly throughout the service. Very personable and it made you feel comfortable despite your lady bits being out and about. She was even reasonable enough to offer me the maintenance fee despite it being my 1st Brazilian in a while. She stated that I didn't have much surface area of hair to warrant charging the full service. It was very quick--a mere 20 minutes flew by like nothing! The studio is very quaint but very well thought out in design. Clean and also has good AC. I already have my next appointment booked and I look forward to continue supporting this business. I was doing waxing for about a year, but never professionally.. and it was always sore and I'd get ingrown hairs.. someone mentioned sugaring to me and I never knew what it was. So I did some digging. Google says, "It's better . It doesn't hurt as much. Good for people susceptible to ingrown hairs." Okay let me FAAFO . So I looked to yelp "sugaring" and found a couple places. I based my research on location, easiest to find, other services provided, and reviews. I found Sugar Bar! I also saw that they have classes. So I was like, "well, if they are teaching this, they must be good!" LOL Although reviews said that Kimi was no longer taking new clients.. I decided to book an appointment anyway and see what would happen. Luckily my appointment got accepted and here I was at my first sugaring appointment. I mentioned my skin was sensitive and kimi took extra care.. although I think she may be rough at times, it's probably necessary. I love the results from sugaring because the hair actually doesn't grow back as fast. I've also had Manda, who is great! I brought my aunt for her first time as well. She was super nervous before the appointment. Marlee was her sugarist. And after her first appointment I asked her "so how was it...?" And she replied "I LOVE IT!" , To my surprise. Kimi, I must say you are AMAZING!!! I got referred to Kimi @ the sugar bar by another amazing sugar person Ami @ Pure Skin (my previous sugar person). I am so glad that Ami referred me to her. Just like Ami, Kimi made me feel very welcomed when I walked into her salon area. I first booked an appointment with her in October when she had an amazing deal going on. As soon as I got there, I texted her to let her know I was in the parking lot (which is really convenient- it's right in front of the salon). She immediately came out and took my temperature due to Covid. As she got started to sugar, we talked about everything and anything. I felt like I knew her for years. I was in and out for my service. Today, I went in for my second service with her, I got there extremely early and she pretty much took me in early. Thank you so much Kimi!
