I've been to this taco truck twice and my first bite each time was like wow! Thats really good! I've ordered the Hot Dog and the Pollo Cemita and i recommend both! Ive been a customer for some time now and the food has always been delicious never had a problem. The new young guy cook just isnt cutting it. I order a carne asada burrito about a week ago got home only to bite into a burrito filled with red salsa and little meat thats never happened. I went back and they happily fixed the problem. Not much I can say other than good tacos and quesadilla. I went on Sunday June 2,2019 for late night taco stop. When it comes to Tacos nothing beats King Taco for me they are the pinnacle to tacos in my opinion, but I hate waiting in line. I searched around my area for nearby tacos spots, which is not hard to find in Paramount but I was recommend Manny's Tacos by a friend. I went and the set up is pretty cool they have their food/taco truck outside and a couple tables with a tent over the tables for people to sit and eat. The menu is displayed on the truck with their prices, I find convenient that way I know I am not being over charged and so on. I ordered an asada quesadilla, two tacos de asada with cheese and a Dr. Pepper total of $10.50 total bang for your dollar. Let me tell you it was good in taste and presentation (fantastic!) I still love old faithful King Taco but this place will definitely be my go to if I don't feel like going to King Taco and wait. 5 star overall food and service. The burrito was $7 then they charged $1 each for the sour cream and cheese. $9 for a burrito at a random food truck is expensive if you ask me. My first time at this truck I was helped by a very nice man, and I ordered a burrito. It was on the small side considering the price but I decided to try it again. Last night I went back and the service was horrible. I was with a friend who was unfamiliar with the menu and we were standing back from the window (obviously not ready to order) looking at the options. Then the cashier guy kept staring at us and banging his notepad against the counter as if that's going to get us to order faster? When we walked up to the window he walked away and we were left standing there without help for several minutes. The entire thing was deliberate and childish. Another man charged us very rudely, almost as if he was mad, and practically threw our change at us. Was looking for a taco truck on my way leaving Disneyland back towards the beach. Manny's Tacos is right off the 91. My first time here and I'm so glad I found it! There are 3 big tables, tons of chairs and covered seating. I got a chicken quesadilla, cilantro, lime, sour cream extra onions. There is a table on the side with condiments and to-go packaging for the sides. The workers were friendly and fast. The horchata was bomb too. They accept credit cards for an additional small fee. There is also burger and hot dog on the menu for the weirdos who don't want delicious Mexican food. There's free parking but this place seems to have a steady flow of hungry diners. The experience, left a lot to be desired. I tried this place last night and well, i will get straight to the point. I ordered tacos, the tortillas were not that warm, they still had that cold feeling, and even the meat, it almost felt as it was not as warm or cooked right, usually taco meat does not stick together. Some of the meat on my tacos was stuck in chunks. The convenience about this place was that I could pay with my debit card, given that it's a taco truck that's a plus. This place has ruined my life..Why do you need to be parked outside my office?! go back to parking in front of the courthouse! Every once in a while, the food is not that fresh..meaning it had been ready for a few minutes but they were too busy to call my order. However, it is still pretty damn tasty. Always saw this food truck on the corner of Cherry Ave and Artesia Blvd, and figured why not give it a try? Stopped by it tonight to grab a quick dinner, which wasn't too quick considering it took a a little long for our order to be prepared. But the customer service was great and the lady who took our order was really nice, so I guess that's a plus in my books. They provide little stools you can sit and enjoy their food on, but we decided to bring the food home instead. We ordered carne asada nachos, three carne asada tacos, and three fish tacos, all totaling to about $15. Which isn't too bad of a price, if the food was actually worth the cost.. I mean, the nachos came in a large portion enough to fill two people. BUT the carne asada tacos were way too salty and the fish tacos were just plain and bland.. Come here for lunch on those days I don't feel like venturing too far from the office. Everything seems to be priced around $5.50 or so. It's not the best mexican food, and the meat quality if pretty low, and the first time I bought food from here they used the wrong meat. Ordered an Al pastor burrito, but somehow got chorizo. Other then the meat being of lower quality, everything else stands out. The bread they use for their torta's is pretty good, and so are their vegetables, rice, and beans. Now I love spicy food, but their salsa is ridiculous. Most places the green sauce is mild, but here it's hot. The red sauce, whoo stay away unless you like fire. I can take a 7-9 at a true THAI place and this red sauce is like a 12 on a scale of 10. Everytime you take a bite with that red sauce your stomach takes a pounding, you feel it going down. They also have an orange sauce which has a weird taste that is hard to describe. I just recommend that you stay away from the orange salsa. All in all good bang for the buck if you want a lot of food, and don't care too much about the taste of your meat. 3 stars for being cheap and affordable, but stays at 3 stars for substandard meat quality, and for the small meat amount in whatever you may order. read more
