They definitely don't skimp on portions either, everything was generous and filling. What really stood out to me was that each bite had that perfect balance of flavor seasoned just right, fresh toppings, and the tortillas had that homemade feel that makes all the difference. The mulita was cheesy, crispy, and packed with meat, and the sope had just the right amount of crunch with a hearty base. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful, and satisfying Mexican food, this spot is worth stopping by. Trust me, you'll walk away full and happy.

...I'm at a loss for words by how horrible this was. I don't normally write reviews but I had to…read moremake an exception for this place. I'll try to be concise. This review is for the Paramount location. I got a few items: Dino rib, pork ribs, brisket, sausage, mac and cheese and corn bread. I'll start with the positives. The mac and cheese and corn bread were decent. Also they took 15 minutes to give me all the varied food I ordered which should have been my red flag to run, but I decided to live dangerously and was punished severely for it. Now on to the travesty, the meat. The theme for today was dry, old and shameless. The pork was somehow undercooked and dry. Which if you can endure the cruelty, is actually kind of impressive. The brisket resembled beef jerky. I'm including pictures of the brisket since those speak much more eloquently than I can. I love to cook and I infamously over season my dishes. But all these meats were at a whole another level. Not salty but aggressively peppery and just ham handed. The rub was flavorful but it blew out my palette instantly. Please take this to heart: less is more. In terms of meat quality? Cheap. My Dad is a butcher, I can tell. Everything being reheated did the meat quality no favors either. The seasoning was further exacerbated because the ribs, both dino and pork, were almost entirely bone. So you have a ton of seasoning on a lick of meat. It was a recipe for disaster. And price? Expensive, especially for what I received. Insulting for what I received. I'll end it here. I don't want to waste your time like this place wasted mine.

I got the 6 pc chicken tenders tossed in "Cha Cha" sauce (honey sriracha) with a side of fries. My partner got the Belly something, but his box consisted of lemon pepper and honey BBQ wings with buffalo ranch fries . The food was SO GOOD! I can not wait to try the chicken tenders in several of the sauces. The establishment appears to be more of a place of "order your food and go". The cook knew our order off the top of his head. Lastly, the parking lot is pretty tight.

What we ordered: I ordered the Flyin' Slider Trio with Chili Zing sauce. These were fantastic! The sauce was spicy but not overpowering. The cole slaw was tasty. The chicken was hanging off the sides of the bun. They give a very generous portion. I also got the corn poppers with lemon pepper seasoning. When the menu says corn "popperS," I thought I'd get more than one. The fact that they charged $4.00 for a half ear of corn is ridiculous. I was even madder because it was delicious! It was breaded and deep fried. The breading was great and ensured that the corn wasn't oily. If the serving was two, I would feel like I kind of got my money's worth, but not one. I'd never get that again. My husband got the 10-piece wings with half garlic parm and half lemon pepper. He said the wings were big and fried to perfection. He loved them. He also got fries. They were $4.00 for a pediatric serving size. Overall, the meal was very good. The main items were worth the price, but they really charge too much for the sides considering their size. I'd go back to support them, but please hold the sides...

Kimchi butter for the win!…read more It was my first time ever to try Shootz and I am now a big fan of Kimchi butter. This spot is known as the "original home of kimchi butter" and after you try at least one of their items with it, you will know why it is so amazing. I got to try several different dishes here and I loved each one! I first tried their Mixed Plate. You can choose the Mixed Plate to be regular or spicy. I chose mine as the regular version. It comes with kimchi butter katsu chicken and kimchi butter katsu shrimp, two scoops of steamed rice and one scoop of Mac salad. The kimchi butter katsu chicken was my favorite. The katsu chicken was perfectly crisp outside and juicy inside. Both the chicken and shrimp were smothered in the famous kimchi butter, which made the mains so savory and rich. I also really loved the Mac salad. It was so creamy and comforting. Equal in deliciousness was the Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken Sandwich. The same tasty and crispy katsu chicken was topped with Mac salad, creamy Kimchi aioli and brûlée brown sugar and placed in between two Hawaiian buns. So ono! This is now on the list of some of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. I also tried their Spam Brûlée Musubi. This is a spam musubi drizzled with kimchi aioli and brûlée brown sugar. It was umami packed and seriously addicting. Alongside all the savory food, I got a refreshing Strawberry Pineapple Lemonade. It was the perfect pair to all the delicious food. Last but not least, I had to try their ube beignets. I love both ube and beignets and so this dessert was a true dream come true. It was so airy, pillowy and sweet. Oh Shootz! I am a fan! This spot is amazing. One thing to note is that this spot is located at the Uptown Commons in Long Beach. The seating is all located outside so all the food is takeout. Also one other thing to note is parking can be a bit tough. It's totally worth a visit though.
