This is a very popular food truck which means that there is often a line. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. They have a selection of salsas, guacamole, onion with cilantro, cucumbers, and curtido with to go salsa containers. You can get as much as you want since it's outside the food truck and you have to get it yourself. All I can say is that this taco spot has gone DOWNHILL! The quality of the meat is poor. The carne asada is bland, chewy and has a grayish color to it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried this place again after trying the carne asada burrito and ordered a al pastor burrito, thinking the meat would taste better but boy was I wrong!! Just plain disgusting. To the business owner: please consider buying quality meat!! You are only loosing business by being cheap. I'm all for supporting small business and more during this pandemic, but I can't support businesses that don't care about the food they serve. Either way I always leave a satisfied customer. I've read some of the bad reviews and honestly if you are looking for non-greasy or heavy food, don't come to a taco truck/stand! I am pretty picky when it comes to fat/nerve on meat, but I have been coming for around 3 years and I never had an issue. I love that they have a self-serve salsa bar where you can choose from red, green or avocado. They have a cilantro/onion mix, pickled purple onions w/ habanero, cucumbers, radishes and limes as condiments. You can also ask the cook for grilled onions (and they are very generous). I've only had their asada and chorizo (I ask for the meat well done) and it is soo tasty, especially the quesadillas! read more

I'm not sure why this place has some bad reviews. Here is my experience with Tacos el Guero: My boyfriend and I have been coming here for over 3 years and tacos are always delicious. We usually buy asada tacos and have tried the burritos as well but definitely like the tacos better(not because the burritos are bad but because the tacos are so good) A good latino/a knows that in order for the tacos to be good the tortillas have to be tasty and soft without getting saggy. That's just what this place does. I have never had the jamaica but I've had the horchata several times and its alright. My boyfriend loves the agua de pina and they sell bottled soda as well. read more

Well i stopped by North Gate market for some groceries and i thought why not.. its cheat day! I usually go to a taco spot on Compton blvd but decided to try this spot for once. Turns out these guys also own the trucks that park outside atlantic. I ordered 8 tacos. 3 de asada , 3 de lengua, 1 de buche , 1 de cabeza. My fave was the asada marinated and just juicy and delish the buche wasnt my fave, but it was also good. Lengua on point and the salsa were good 12 bucks with a large horchata... my new taco spot. I just finished eating here at Tacos El Guero with my boo. We came here after attempting to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. Service was extremely slow so we walked out because we were starving. Ain't nobody have time for that BWW! We got here around 1am, a little late but the bright taco truck lights greeted us warmly. Fast ordering. Big drinks!! I got a bomb agua de piña and my bf got horchata which was good as well, I can attest We also ordered four tacos each. Asada and al pastor. Bae said he hates when taco places give dry meat, and I agree. We got what we wanted. They even have guacamole sauce which is our absolute favorite! This is my second time here. This place is simply great. I found this place about 3 years ago and I must say it offers one of the best, if not the best, fast Mexican foods. Tacos, quesadillas, tortas, and sopes. It's the closest to the great tasting tacos one finds TJ. All of the meats are delicious- partly because they are cooked together so the flavors are so much better. All the guys are friendly, take care of you and even hook you up from time to time. It's an OK spot, considering it's in Compton... Always feels better then the cops show up to get some tacos too. Avoid this truck! There is a reason why it has a "B" rating. I ordered 5 tacos one was asada and 4 where suppose to be Al Pastor which is suppose to be marinated pork with a red shade in color. The asada taco was bland and tasteless I could have been easily chewing cardboard and wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. As for the Al Pastor tacos who knows what type of meat it was, it definitely looked like mystery meat. I could not stomach to eat them it's was weird brown stranded meat full of griddle and fat defiantly not Al Pastor. The tacos went straight into the trash. I was very excited seeing a Tacos El Guero Food Truck about 3 miles from home. But, I believe am confusing my excitement with another Tacos El Guero in East L.A also on Atlantic because these tacos/burritos we ok. We ordered 2 burritos de Asada and 10 tacos de Asada. The flavor was great! That is why they get 3 stars however the meat was horrible quality. It had so much of what I call "guabo" which is what I call the nasty fat or hard nerve.. It had tons of it, now I don't know if some people actually eat that but personally its sickening.. Their food is beyond either oily or way to much juice which half ways through turned into a disgusting, soggy mess.. Their red salsa tasted nasty as well.. The lemons where all old.. Again if they worked on the meat quality and quantity of oil it would be great.. Their prices are also a tad high for their choice in meat.. Was just OK. Nothing spectacular just OK. I really came to try the Vampiros de Asada. They were fried with oil and not what I was looking for. I've had vamps that are simply placed on a hot grill and dorados with no need of frying. Won't be back again. The workers seemed a bit mad.
