Avocado only in the front of the taco- no flavor asada and chile was watery and no spice
    Rosa R.

So I read the reviews , looked at the photos and I decided today I'd try it out. It's Tuesday and they had a taco special. Well I wasn't too impressed. Meat was cut way too big and it was too hard to chew! Salsa is boring! Way too watery and No flavor no spice! Someone also complained about them getting upset about asking for extra salsa. Yes the manager didn't like me asking for extra (boring) salsa. My daughter's torta didn't have avocado either.outdoor seating is not good for a day like today. Way too cold to eat outside. So no I'm not impressed! Not cheap either .

I spotted this coupon at Food4Less--free taco and a drink with any purchase? Had to check it out. Glad I did! These tacos are straight fire! The guac was fresh, the meat was tender and juicy--honestly some of the best tacos I've had in CPT. No need to make the trip to TJ for that authentic flavor--these hit the mark. Shoutout to the manager, Antonio, for being super friendly and making me feel right at home.

Some of LA's best Carne Asada Tacos

Dead ass some of the best Carne Asada Tacos in LA. The smoky carne asada al carbon, the handmade tortillas, the avocado salsa, and their spicy red salsa omgaaawd. Legit taste like Baja Tacos from TJ/Ensenada style. They got the trompo Al Pastor. Pass on the Birria, personally didint like it.

Quesadilla de asada with hand made tortilla

For anyone who is craving carne asada tacos from Tijuana but refuse to do the drive down south, this is the place to get your fix at. I had the quesadilla de asada with hand made corn tortilla and it was delicious. The food taste so good here, we also tried the tacos de pastor and tacos de asada which were good. It's in the middle of Compton, I don't recommend eating since it's more of a pick up spot with a few tables outside. The service upon entering is welcoming and very nice staff.

Seating is outside, perfect for a nice day. Oscar and the team are amazing -- they genuinely treat you like family and make the experience even better. You can feel the love they put into the food. It's always taco time so I wanted to give this place a try. Decided to stick to corn tortillas…read moresince they make them on site (but still a fan of flour tortillas). Wound up ordering a birria quesadilla and 3 Al pastor tacos. All with corn tortillas but they charge you $2 extra for corn tortilla on the quesadilla but they didn't charge for the consume which was good. The corn tortilla for the quesadilla was a bit thick for my preference but I think that's the only way to keep all the meat inside and not break. I suggest getting the flour tortilla on quesadillas. But, the birria meat and consume were really good. And, you get a lot of meat in a quesadilla. It's big enough for 2 people. Al pastor was good too. Still need to try the carne asada. They charge 2% fee for credit cards so bring cash unless you ordered online. No parking except street parking which can suck around dinner time as they get busy. They also have few seats inside so you see people order ahead (online or phone) and double park to pick up. And, it's best if you speak some Spanish to communicate. Having said all this, perhaps a 3.5 is my rating.

If you're craving authentic antojitos from Ciudad Guzmán in the southern region of Jalisco,…read moreAntojitos Los Cuates in Compton is absolutely worth the drive. As someone who grew up enjoying the flavors of Jalisco, I had been yearning for the famous raspadas--large homemade tostadas--and the variety of traditional antojitos that are so popular back home. My family and I decided to give this place a try, so we made the drive all the way from Riverside County to Compton, and I can honestly say we were not disappointed. This is a small, family-owned restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food tastes homemade, just like the meals your mamá would make in Jalisco. You can tell that every dish is prepared with care, tradition, and pride. We ordered the tostadas, tortas ahogadas, and tacos duros, and every item was packed with authentic flavor. Unfortunately, we arrived around 3:30 PM and missed out on the pozole because they had already sold out for the day. That alone tells me it's a favorite among their customers, so I highly recommend arriving early if you're hoping to try it. The service was excellent, and despite the restaurant being very busy, the staff remained friendly and attentive. Keep in mind that this is a small family-run establishment, so your food may take a little longer to arrive. However, that's because everything is made fresh to order, and the quality is well worth the wait. Places like this are becoming harder to find. If you're looking for authentic flavors from Jalisco and want to support a hardworking family business, Antojitos Los Cuates is a hidden gem that deserves a visit. We'll definitely be back. A little taste of Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, right here in Southern California.
