    Plain Cream Cheese Bagel

The store seems dirty inside and there were a lot of flies. $4.30 for a plain bagel with cream cheese seems a bit overpriced.

    Menu

Decent food and service. Just wish they would put more in their sandwiches. We would go back to try other menu items.

Came here twice during my family and I's visit to Williamsburg. This was near our hotel and a super convenient non-sit down breakfast place. This is a chain, so it is not a local place, but nonetheless it was still really good! They definitely get busy, but it appeared that they do replenish the bagels throughout the morning. The inside is reminiscent of a deli, nothing too special, very laid back environment. It is kept pretty clean. The service is attentive and friendly. They were working very hard to keep up with the many incoming orders! The first visit, my mom and I both got the Avocado egg white sandwiches. I wanted mine on asiago, but they were sold out of those at the moment, so I opted for the cheddar bagel instead. Although shortly after I completed by order fresh, piping hot asiago bagels came out. My mom got hers on a honey-wheat bagel. The sandwich consisted of grilled egg whites, avocado, tomato, spinach, and roasted tomato spread. I added turkey bacon to this for an uncharge. This was decent, the avocado could have been riper. The sandwich was kinda bland, the bagel didn't carry a strong cheddar taste, as I was hoping for. The added turkey bacon definitely added some more to the sandwich, would recommend doing that! This was still a decent, light, healthy option though. The next visit I ordered the Santa Fe Egg White. This sandwich consisted of a thintastic asaigo bagel (I opted for a regular asiago bagel instead), grilled egg whites, turkey sausage, cheddar, and a roasted tomato salsa & jalepeno salsa cream cheese. I liked this one much more than the avocado, a lot heartier. The cream cheese added a nice, creamy kick to the sandwich. It complimented the sharpness of the asiago bagel and the cheddar cheese. The turkey sausage was really yummy with the egg whites as well! My mom ordered the nova lox on pumpernickel, my dad got the seasonal smokehouse brisket egg sandwich, and then my sister got the classic croissant sandwich. They all also enjoyed their meals! Overall, I thought this was a solid bagel place. I don't know how authentic they were, but they certainly hit the spot! The inside was family friendly and very chill. While the service was as efficient as possible, especially considering how busy it was getting. All our bagels were freshly made to order. The bagels were very yummy, I would check it out if you need a quick breakfast while in the area.

Very popping spot! My bagel sandwich was great and my husband liked his salmon as well.. I loved the pepper cream cheese, very tasty. The inside had several tables to sit; and the bathrooms were clean with a changing table which I appreciate. The service was great too: t he gentleman calling the name notified I was with the baby and brought me my food. I appreciated that! Check it out!

Manhattan bagel is a great alternative to your big box chain bagel/ pastry/ sandwich places. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and if you're there on the right morning you'll catch their staff talking about the Yankees game, which only adds to the traditional New York deli atmosphere. Their selection of bagels is diverse and there's something for everyone. Every bagel comes with more than enough cream cheese and their sandwiches don't lack either. My go to is the Nova Lox. Today I happened to get it on a croissant which if you can tell from the picture is flaky and amazing on its own. If you go on the weekends they have a small selection of oven fresh baked pasties which are to die for and sell out quickly. If you get your bagels to go they offer dog friendly bagels as well. I've had the chai tea both hot and iced, and while it's nothing overly special, it's comparable to competitors. The coffee is okay, but again, I'm coming there for the food. Overall a great breakfast lunch spot, and you will definitely leave satisfied.

Seriously? Should I buy them a mop?

What is going on at Manhattan Bagel? 11:30 on a Sunday and there are few bagels left, the floors are filthy and the trash is overflowing. Not the experience we wanted to have and not what we expect from this location. New management? Something's up, it used to be a decent place to grab a bagel. If it wasn't for James, this place would be a total write off.

The order was correct. That's the only positive thing I can say about this meal. We waited 20 minutes for two items. The croissant was hard and crunchy, not buttery or flaky at all. My wife's breakfast burrito had one slice of "bacon" on it, which was really just a soggy strip of fat. She had wanted a bagel, but they were sold out of everything but garlic at 10am. She also got a pumpkin muffin, which tasted like the sort of thing that one might buy at a gas station: very artificial and not at all tasty. This is the third time that we've tried Manhattan Bagel, and it has been lackluster each time. But this time, the food was barely edible. It's rare that I return food to complain and ask for a refund, but I would have done it today had my children not had more pressing concerns.

Enjoying this delicious bagel from Manhattan bagels.

Went at end of their day and few choices but the bagels are good! Almost Philly like. Will go back earlier in the day for more choices.

However, I would not recommend the brownie and chocolate sundae dessert. The brownie and cookie were cold and hard, which made the dessert disappointing. On the positive side, the carrot cake was huge and definitely worth sharing -- easily enough for 3-4 people. The service was excellent as well. Nothing wrong with this little grab-and-go carry out shop but at the same time, I wouldn't call it anything ahhhhmazzzzinggggg that would warrant more than just an average 3 star rating. Better than and more options than a hotel lobby self serve "mini mart." They serve self serve coffee (Members, don't forget to ask for your complimentary daily coffee tickets upon check-in!) but this place also has a barista for hot or iced lattes. Decent lattes, thankfully made with espresso shots not watered down or weak & wimpy. On par with what you would get at Starbucks. The latte menu is NOT extensive so don't expect a long latte/coffee drink menu like at Starbucks. I posted a pic of the latte/tea/juice/bfast sando menu with prices so have a look. Staff is SUPER NICE but both times I was there getting a hot latte, there was ONE WORKER each time running cash AND barista-ing. Not many more can fit behind that tiny ordering counter frankly. Thus - if you see any kind of long line, BE PREPARED TO WAIT. Or come back during non-rush hours. (Remember this is a conference center so it is highly likely conference attendees will be lining up to order before the start of the conference day and in between sessions throughout the day!) I read on their website that all their baked goods and pastries as well as sandwiches, salads etc are freshly house made there on prem so that's nice. Prices are not break the bank (for a hotel). My small hot vanilla latte was $7. Like I said - as a hotel lobby grab-and-go so you don't have to walk far or drive to get your latte-fix on, The Cupboard is right-there-convenient and will absolutely do just fine. If you DO feel like going off the property to go to an indie coffee shop, I drove to and tried the relatively new Grit Coffee in Midtown for the first time - pretty good (read my review and see my pics): Or go to the ever-famous Aromas in CW near the William&Mary campus, an OG legend which imo is overhyped but still a good option - parking can be a pain, frankly better to walk there from the hotel (it's prob a 20 min walk to Aromas but you walk straight down beautiful CW - on a nice day, can't beat that.).
