Atmosphere isn't much to write home about, but the food is so good that this doesn't matter. I've been looking for flavors as awesome as the ones found here for some time. The hot and sour soup was very good and the coconut milk soup was outstanding. The vegetables were not over cooked and everything we had was so nicely done. Will probably head there at least a couple of times per month to explore some other things on their very extensive menu. What an exciting discovery! Highly recommend it. The value for the dollar was very high. Enjoy. read more

I recently switched it up and decided to order pineapple fried rice instead of tofu curry, and WOW. It was amazing! I got the lunch special; soup, salad, spring roll, and a lot more rice than I expected. The flavor was slightly sweet and savory, and was just all around amazing. Highly recommend! read more

There aren't that many Thai restaurants in the northwest area, so comparing Mango Tree to the other Thai restaurants nearby, it's pretty good. The curry tastes fine, but a little too watery. Pad see ew tastes pretty good - but each time they cook it is a little inconsistent. I've ordered pad thai (for children) and it was a good portion - again, a little inconsistent cooking when I ordered it again another day. The service on the other hand, they are very friendly, maybe that's one of the highlights of why I come back. They are very accommodating and always smiling. That's nice. Overall, I have come back, but the food is just never the same the first time I ordered it. read more

We had the huge pad thai, tom yum and tom kha soups. The tom kha was good but not the other. The noodles was a little over cooked and needed some more flavor to it rather than salt and soy sauce. I so wanted to try the duck but not sure if the duck would be crispy in curry sauce like other restaurants since the pad thai was not particularly a "good fry" product. I might be back. It was kinda not that crowded for a Friday night so not sure whats going on there. read more

Gets really busy on Friday for lunch so come early! Service is usually super slow regardless of what day it is but the food makes up for it. A couple of my faves here are the Chicken Larb and the Ka Pai Basil - yummm! read more

Good. Good. Good. Best Thai food I've had by far. Good quality and huge portions. We ordered the Orange chicken and chicken yellow curry with an appetizer. I got way more food than expected for just two people. For those two entrees, we could of Fed 5-7 people. I ordered to go before I arrived and everything was ready when I got there. Two thumbs up! read more

Let's go to dinner before the movie. How about Mexican food? AGAIN???? okay, then how about burgers? Nah, it's out of the way. Let's try Mango Tree, a friend had just reminded me of that place and, what the heck, let's try it. So glad we did!!! Mango Tree is a small, nondescript bistro in a nondescript strip center. We were seated right away, and as we were there, many more patrons came in both for dine-in and takeaway. The bistro was clean (fake plants could have used a dusting) and the ambiance quiet. Not sure a wailing baby would be welcome here (are wailing babies welcome anywhere?) because the dining area is so small. Anyway, I ordered spicy ginger beef, hubs ordered duck, daughter ordered a salad, which she says she always gets. We got our jasmine rice first, and it's on a separate plate. How charming! It is molded into a shape of a heart!!! Then came our meals and they are so colorful and appealing. It seemed like my veggies must have been prepared upon ordering, instead of pre-chopped and wilting away in a bowl all day. They were crisp and fresh and there was fresh ginger in every bite. The beef was tender and the sauce was tangy. My husband and daughter both enjoyed their meals and ate every last bite. I felt like the chef wanted to present the very best, instead of, 'here, this is as good as it gets'. This place is a keeper on our list and we definitely will be back. So glad we finally tried this place!!! read more

Great food! I have always ordered the green curry spicy level number 5. I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered the Siam noodles extra bean sprouts! So good. I get it at a level 5 spicy with shrimp. Rice noodles so no wheat. My husband loves the curry puffs I would say most everything is good on their menu. It's s neighborhood favorite around here. read more

One of the best Thai food places, coming from someone who is half Thai this place is my favorite and reminds me of home!

It is NOT worth a 50 minute wait. Their Ritual timing is a joke. After waiting the recommended 22 minutes for my order, I waited another 10 minutes. Then was told it would be 10-15 minutes more. I left without my food. Either give good estimates or don't take the order. read more

Love the food and the service. I don't live here in Cypress but my kids do so I visit on a regular basis. This is a regular stop when i am here. read more

We ordered the Sate as an appetizer, and the meat tasted not right, it tasted like not fresh, so we didn't eat. We asked to return it and the server said they can't avoid. They took that plate and still charged us for that appetizer. We won't be here again. read more

Decent place with decent food. Nothing amazing to write home about but nothing bad also to criticize. One of the Thai places in the area so cannot complain. Over all decent exp and decent service read more

Great food ... my wife just loves this place. She can not survive without eating here every week! The staff as such are courteous, except for the white girl, who shows her sarcasm if you ask her anything including napkins. There is one Asian waitstaff who is awesome. I would have given a 5 star, but my last encounter with the white waitstaff (asking her for napkins) made this place loose a star. read more

Great ambiance, good food, wonderful service. Nice food selection for vegetarians and carnivores. I enjoyed this place very much. On a random note, our server's name was Earth. How cool is that?! read more

The food here is ALWAYS perfect. It puts a smile on my face each and every time. I have had the pleasure of enjoying many dishes at this establishment and every one of them was absolutely delicious. Arrive early because the establishment fills up quickly. If you want the most delicious Thai food in Houston, try an order of their curry, any flavor, with the brown rice. You will not be disappointed. read more

My wife and I went on a lunch break from work. We were served a lunch appetizer and soup with our order, but 30 minutes and multiple tables served before us later, we asked about our order. When our waitress came back, she asked us to tell her our order again. We got up immediately and walked out, having wasted our lunch break. And... why are you serving miso soup at a Thai restaurant, anyway? read more

Spicy Cheese Rolls are is our favorite appetizer. So so good! I enjoy to get any of the currys and my daughter loves the sweet and sour chicken. It's full of veggies with lots of chicken. Definitely try this place out if you haven't! read more

Having experienced a wide variety of Thai food in many different places ( including Thailand), I am very picky about my Thai food. With that said Mango Tree is excellent. Everything I've eaten is very good. For a special treat try the mango sticky rice. And be sure to ask for Tina while you are there. read more

Mango Tree - Mango sticky rice. My favorite - Thai Near Me - Houston, Texas

Only because compared to the other Thai spots I've frequent it does quite compare. However the food was very hot and not bad. I will return and order something a little different. Son is very picky and not much for him to eat here. read more

Mango Tree - Shrimp and rice noodles in a clay pot I believe. Chicken satay and spring rolls (not pictured). - Thai Near Me - Houston, Texas

As expatriates of California we know Thai chowing down since the 1960's. We have sampled over a dozen places in the Northern Houston Texas region since 2013. The Mango Tree Thai Bistro is the place we return to again and again. It quite simply is the best food to be had in the region. The food is fresh, of excellent quality, and will be spiced to your order. So, be cautious at first there are no refunds because you are not as great a fire eater as you think you are. All in all just yummy. read more

First time trying this place out. I had the thai tea and the pad thai. The thai tea was really good, but I have had better pad thai. I felt like it was missing something. The waitress was nice. read more

Terrible take-out service experience. Ordered online. Received confirmation email. Arrived at restaurant and they claimed they had not received my order. Told me it would be 20 minute wait. Woman at register was rude and did not apologize for their mistake. Some people came in and ordered "to -go" AFTER ME, but they received their order before me. My order should have been put on rush or first in line. Had to wait 30 minutes. Once again, no apology or offer of free dessert or appetizer or any kind of compensation for THEIR MISTAKE! Plus, the fish was over-fried. Will never go back. read more

Love this place, it's probably my favorite. Friendly staff, cool imported Asian beers. It's a small but homey kind of environment. Cute place. I get the swimming angel with steamed chicken EVERY time and I love it so much. At lunch time, you get an egg roll and a salad and an amazing soup to go with your meal. At dinner I always get the calamari appetizer and I'm obsessed with the dip that it comes with. read more

We just got done with dinner. Meal was delicious. Great spice and staff was awesome. Love this place. Highly recommend it

I was in town on business and needed a place to stop to grab a quick late lunch for just myself and everything else nearby seemed to be just your typical fast food. I'm SO glad I came here! First of all, the girl serving me and the guy who brought me my check and got me boxes at the end were very sweet and helpful! Excellent customer service. I wasn't really sure what I wanted so I got a few appetizers, and I ended up having to take about half of it home because it was even more food than I thought it would be. The food was delicious though, and I wish I could have eaten it all! I also got the Thai tea. I wasn't sure what it was and honestly I'm still not sure what is in it, but I do know it's delicious. If I wasn't flying home tomorrow morning I'd go back and get another! read more
