When they were at their old location, we used to eat there often because their food was always really good. I hadn't been back in a long time due to the fact that I no longer work close to them, but we decided to go back for dinner with my family in the area. Their new location is much bigger. Things we tried: Panang curry Yellow curry Pineapple fried rice Papaya salad Basil fried rice Eggplant dish Green curry Nam khao Everything was really good. The panang curry is my favorite. Stopped by with my coworkers for a late lunch. We were sat immediately thankfully because we were starving! Our waitresses were really nice and they checked up on us regularly. I had the Pad Kee Mao with shrimp. The noodles were cooked well and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. As far as Thai options go in this area, I'd say it's not the best but definitely not the worst. What was lacking for me was the sauce on the noodles. It wasn't what I was expecting, it almost tasted like Teriyaki sauce. Aside from that, the cheese rolls were good and so were the pork dumplings. Fresh spring rolls with chicken; crunchy pork egg rolls; veg fried rice with chicken; stir fried veggies and I added chicken; and no mango sticky rice (booooo) but fried bananas with coconut, almonds, and a mild sauce. Location is rather industrial, we were in the area picking up HVAC equipment for. Strip center is run down and inside has stained ceiling tiles but bathroom was clean. Very solid food. We really enjoyed it. I used to go to the other location off of Fairbanks. I'm not sure if these two are related or not. But the food was pretty darn good. Attention management, you guys need to get a better sign. All it says from the road or the freeway if you will is Thai food. How the hell am I supposed to google you, look you up, or order from you,. I just happen to be near bombshell so we stopped in to get some food and I was like oh my god finally I know the name of this restaurant. For months I've been passing it on to 90 and I had no idea as to what the name of this restaurant was. I cannot believe you all didn't put your name outside. Maybe didn't fit I'm not sure but at the least you should hang a banner that has the name of your restaurant. You're missing on so many to go orders because of this also you're missing on a lot of new clients because they have no idea how to look you up. If you're driving on 290 there's no way you can tell the name of your restaurant. The food: I got the pepper steak which was some sort of beef dish. It was OK. I think the beef was a little bit low quality. Kind of cooked too tough to be honest. But the eggrolls were the real winner here. Those were really good. The white rice was good as well. I think I'll come back and try some more dishes before I write them off. Solid four stars for pretty solid food. My other colleagues enjoyed their food. The thing I enjoy the most was the pork eggrolls. That was really good. Service: the service is great. The guy that works here is very friendly. The food came out very fast. First, after reading all the reviews, I was expecting a better experience than what I had, the ambience was simple, and the food wasn't bad. It just was just boring, there was no spice to it my Tom Kha soup was sweet without the balance of acid from lime, I had to dump a bunch of lime and fish sauce, just to get it tasting like anything that I wanted to eat, and the Gra Paw chicken basil the chicken was almost nonexistent with an overflow of green beans, and once again had zero spice. That, with the addition of their sons, blaring iPad, and next to zero service left me wondering why I came. WOW. Just WOW. Authentic Thai food in Houston! Thai food is probably my go-to comfort food. It's flavorful, often spicy, and goes well with rice. They have vegetarian, pescatarian, and meat-eater options. Everyone loves it, right? We brought a group of 12 here, just 30 minutes before closing and yet they were nice enough to seat us and let us eat and talk for 90 minutes. The food here is EXCELLENT. I felt like I was back in Thailand. Yes, it is really that good. And we tried everything, from the Pad Thai, all the curries, noodle dishes and a few different fried rice dishes, tom yum, rolls, and fish cakes. Every dish was exceptional. I don't know how long this place has been here, but I do remember there location being another restaurant that I never wanted to go to. However I went to wing stop to get lunch and they are still not allowing dine in. one quick about face and I'm driving out t the parking lot clueless about what to do now when I spotted a Thai place I didn't know about. Problem solved! Of course I know as much about Thai food as a I do about rocket surgery, but with a little help I went with the veggie delight stir fry with chicken. Spice scale of 4. I just love when you say make it spicy they say ...1 to 5? That is just so easy! Everything was great. From the egg rolls to the Stir fry. Aroy Dee has been on my "go to" list. Well, one Sunday morning I woke up and exclaimed, "Let's go get lunch! Thai food!" Within the hour, I was there. An array of dishes were ordered: Appetizers to start: -Egg rolls (4) -Fried calamari Entreés: -Pad Thai -Yellow curry Here goes... -Egg rolls had a thin and crunchy exterior, my favorite type of egg roll base. -Fried calamari can be rings and mini octopus of the squid. My order consisted of panko coated fried rings. The rings had perfect bite. The panko breading held on throughout, giving a delicate crunch. Accompaniments to both appetizers: shredded green cabbage, shredded purple cabbage, and curled carrot strips -Pad Thai noodles were slippery and had a nice subtle sweetness. -Yellow curry had both heat and flavor. Heart and soul was put into this dish. Every carrot and most potatoes were intricately cut into spiked sun shapes to become instant garnishes. I look forward to a return visit. read more

I've ordered take out/delivery from here several times, but I went in for lunch the other day. It was pretty busy, only a couple tables open. It took a little bit to get a menu and drinks, but the server was obviously very busy. He apologized for the delay. I didn't mind. My food came quickly once it was ordered. Both the curry and the soup were very flavorful. Green curry and tom kha are my usual go-tos, but I wanted to try something different. The red curry was full of sliced bamboo shoots, bell pepper, onion, and your choice of protein. I got chicken. Their portion sizes are pretty big too. It's a good value. I've been to the Fairbanks location about 10 times so I was glad when I found out they had another location right off of 290. The older location fits like 4-ish tables, and probably even less with Covid so it's good that this location is much bigger. Waiters are nice as always. Food tastes great as expected. Three of us got egg rolls (4 pieces), small bowl of tom yum, basil fried rice, pad se ew, and smiley fish. Oops maybe we got too much. The small bowl of tom yum soup was big enough for the 3 of us to all get a cup. The flavor was just right and they were generous with the ingredients. Pad se ew with chicken. We got spice level 4/5 and it was the perfect amount of kick in the beginning, but spicy enough for us to start sweating by the time we left the restaurant. Noodles were chewy and not all clumped up. Plenty of broccoli and chicken. Smiley fish. This one's one of my favorite dishes here. Bite sized fried fish chunks sauteed(?) with this yummy spicy sauce and green beans. Fish was the perfect combination of crispy but still soft on the inside. All in all, glad they opened a more spacious restaurant right off the highway with the same quality foods. Very cute and clean. I did not expect such a nice restaurant from the outside, but it's updated and well kept on the inside. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The thai tea was alright, not much flavor of tea but it was still good. My boyfriend really loved the pad thai but i thought the noodles were a bit over cooked and mushy. Aroy Dee used to be excellent. Their quality has declined markedly over the past years Today I took a chance and ordered delivery eggplant with basil for lunch. It was awful. The eggplant had almost no flavor-it probably was left over from yesterday. Thrown in were some green beans that were barely cooked. So what I was eating was super crunchy beans and soft as mush eggplant. If I were at the restaurant, I would have sent the dish back. Took a chance on a veggie dish, and no redemption. Some friends of ours asked us if we wanted the best Thai in Houston, the best kept secret. Of course we were IN! Don't let the modest surroundings fool you, this place has ALL the flavor and then some. My husband loves thier beef fried rice and personally I always get the pad Thai the first time I try a new place and this pad Thai was so perfectly flavored and cooked to perfection. The owner was behind the cash register and incredibly kind and welcoming. We felt like we were part of the family by the time we left. Don't forget the dessert tapioca rolls. I can't explain them. I needed a quick place to grab lunch, so I found this spot on Yelp. I drove right past it because it's just a little hole in the wall. I'm glad I went back. It was small and quickly filled up with what seemed to be local clientele. The service was fast, the food delicious and the place was clean. Love this place. Some of the better Thai food I've found in Houston, and especially near the oak forest/Spring Branch areas of town. All the dishes I've tried are very flavorful, and when you ask for hot/Thai hot, they really deliver! I'd you're not into extreme heat, though, my wife assures me that the mild and medium heat levels are also really good as well. Finally, the person at the register, who I assume to be the owner, is always super pleasant in my encounters. Give this place your business and you won't be sorry. read more
