We were looking for some Chinese food for lunch today and we came across Mandarin Delight, so we decided to give it a try. These were the dishes we tried: - Firecracker Chicken: it was deep fried chicken breast chunks tossed with spicy Sichuan peppercorns and dried chilies. Despite using chicken breast, the chunks were surprisingly tender and didn't feel dry at all. The spicy, numbing flavor really came through, but I felt like the dish was severely under salted. I think just a little more salt would've elevated the flavor completely. Also this dish wasn't spicy at all to us even though we were forewarned that it was gonna be spicy. - Spicy Basil Chicken: this dish had a flavor profile that reminded me of Thai style Basil Chicken Stir Fry, but I thought the Thai stir fry version was far superior. The flavor wasn't bad though, and what really impressed me was the chicken. The slices were so soft and tender that I couldn't believe I was eating chicken. The texture almost reminded me of fish cake, it was that tender. However, I did think the dish was a little unbalanced, with the vegetables taking up a much larger portion of the dish than the chicken. And I did think that the bell peppers were undercooked. - The House Special Chow Mein was fantastic. The flavor was smoky, savory, and slightly sweet, creating a really nice combo of flavors. The noodles were also nice and chewy and had a great bounce to them. I loved all the different toppings that came with it too, and there was also Bok Choy mixed in for some vegetables. The portion was pretty generous as well. Overall, the service was amazing. The older couple, who I assume were the owners, seemed to do pretty much everything themselves. They took our order, brought out the food, and checked on us throughout the meal. They were very hospitable and nice. The ambience was just okay... The restaurant felt a little cramped and was somewhat dark. One thing I really didn't like, though, was that the kitchen was open and right next to the dining area. I felt like all the cooking smoke and smells were drifting directly into the dining area, which wasn't particularly pleasant while we were eating.

Our #1 go to place for Chinese food. It's a small family run place but the food is ALWAYS good, service is efficient and quick. The place is clean and very welcoming. They give you these fried wonton strips with a dipping sauce, so simple but literally addicting. We've tried almost everything on their menu and it's all great. If you're looking for great Chinese food, this is the spot.

Mushu pork, egg drop soup and Tsingtao beer

The mushu pork was good. Not nearly as good as my favorite place. Service is fast. Adequate dining area. Casual ambiance. Mushu was large portion but cabbage heavy and no egg. Still good for portions and price. Gentle seasoning allows the flavors of the ingredients to come through. Definitely worth supporting this place. $13.00 for large Tsingtao is quite quite expensive though

The best Chinese food in the world. It makes fasting something to look forward to. And the people here are so amazingly nice.

Not to be hyperbolic, but this is the best Chinese spot in Dublin if not the East Bay (though the latter would be an especially absurdly bold claim) and anyone who says otherwise is a blithering idiot. That's not my opinion, that's an indisputable objective fact. Go argue with a newly painted wall. The two things I liked most in the three or so times I've eaten here are the Princess Chicken (which is sweet, slightly tangy, and crispy) and the fish fillets in black bean sauce. I appreciated the abundance of vegetables in the latter dish since I need to increase my fiber intake but it needed more fish fillet. There wasn't enough of it tonight. But it was delicious. Oh and the service is great. Staff is always nice, attentive, and quick to give drink refills. I also like that they have chili oil at their tables. I love chili oil. Chili oil is my favorite flavor.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely outstanding presentation, quality, and taste are all top notch. Every dish came out beautifully plated, and the flavors were just as impressive. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and everything was perfectly seasoned. the customer service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish.

Hunan prawns

Went for lunch special in nice and rainy weather during the week, and really enjoyed this amazing Chinese food. The hot and sour soup was refreshing and also enjoyed the Mongolian chicken and hunan prawns; quantity was pretty good for lunch. Will come next time for ala carte as looks they have amazing options on the menu.

Green bean and chow fun
Helen O.

We had the Hot and sour soup which they give to start. It had button mushrooms, tofu and all the ingredient of hot and sour soup. We had braised green bean and beef chow fun. The green bean tasted real good it wasn't salty just the right amount of salt. The chow fun was also not too salty and the noodle was not too thick and its tender.

Came here at 630pm on a Thursday night and we were the first table but it filled up full quick! People coming in non stop to pick up food as well. I kinda liked that you can hear the roar or the fires cooking in The background. We wanted to compare this place to grand cafe and I think we wanna say we like it better. Better in price, portions, and flavor. And we liked Grand Cafe! Ordered beef chow fun, potstickers, and chicken and green beans. Big portions, and loaded with meat. Lot of wok hei. I feel the potsticker were handmade too. The skin felt fresh and the potstickers were also pretty big and plump. Only complaint was is could have been crispier. Also a plus for the bf was the soda refills were included. Definitely will be making it our go to.

I don't understand why customers should be responsible for covering the restaurant's internal expenses on top of already expensive menu prices. The explanation for this service fee is only in English displayed at the bottom of their menu, even though most customers are Chinese. Many people would never know what they're being charged for. It feels inconsiderate and misleading. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not worth the money.

My husband ordered DoorDash, and I asked for the Chongqing spicy fried chicken. He got the pan-fried dumplings for himself and our daughter. Then the food arrived. The moment I smelled that aroma from the red chili peppers, my appetite magically returned . The Chongqing chicken was tasty and had the spicy, fragrant kick I was craving. My only suggestion, if the restaurant team actually reads Yelp reviews, would be to make the chicken pieces a little bigger. I found myself wishing there was more meat with each bite. My husband and daughter both enjoyed the pan-fried dumplings. I did notice that the bottoms of a couple of the dumplings were quite dark brown--borderline burnt--so those could have used a little less time on the pan. The only negative was the small portion size of the honey walnut shrimp. Our party was seated in the back of the upstairs room, so it was a little quieter than the main dining room downstairs. Lots of dim sum choices. We were able to find parking on a busy Sunday with just a little effort in the shopping center parking lot.

Susie lives in the Bay Area and chose this restaurant. I was skeptical about keeping the cost low as we were having dim sum. I was afraid it would be outrageously expensive and not filling enough. She proved me wrong. Excluding the tea and other drinks it came to $30 per person and that included tax and tip. This was cheaper then the last banquet we had and I actually enjoyed most of the dishes here. The only dish I didn't have was the scallop and shrimp dumplings as the order came out with only 3 and there was 11 us at the table. I'm not sure how that was supposed to feed the table. We arrived at 11:10am and to ensure we weren't late. The parking lot was packed when we arrived. Saying that we only had to go up and down two isles to find a parking space. I have to add that the parking spaces were tight. We had the Honda Pilot and it barely fit in a space and that isn't the biggest car out there. We were told that our table was on the 2nd floor and to go to the side door. We walked around the side and found a door. There was not signage indicating it was part of the restaurant. The right side was locked, but the left side was unlocked. When we entered we were warmed with a sigh that said the floor was wet and to beware of slipping. They had a staircase to the left and a elevator to the right. That was a blessing, I know some of our party wouldn't have made it to the banquet with out the elevator. When we exited the elevator we were met by a staff member with their cart waiting to do downstairs. So the elevator serves guests and staff alike. When we got out of the elevator the staff member pointed us down the hall. We stopped at the bathroom on the way down the hall. Once we found the restaurant we were pointed to the back where we joined our party. We had 3 tables in the back which was nice. It beats being out in the open and disturbing everyone as we stood around chit chatted prior to being served. I felt bad for the table of 2 that were posted right next to the wall near our party. They just had a bad table. All the other tables upstairs were farther away and didn't feel like they were in our space. I have to add that the service was great. They kept coming to refill the waters and tea pot with tea, not just hot water. And we never felt rushed. We had a nice table on the edge of our tables agains the wall that we were able to hang our family tree. We are all 1st, 2nd and 3rd cousins and some of us have never met the others before so we really needed a family tree that color coded what generation you were. My favorite dish was the steamed sticky rice in Lotus root, next was the BBQ Pork Buns, third was the shrimp and pork dumplings. Though I don't recall seeing any shrimp in those dumplings.Thought they were big and meaty. My least favorite was the green onion pancake. It just wasn't fluffy and flakey. It was too dense and lacked flavor. And a little greasy. We had 12 dishes and were filled with some chow fun left over. The chow fun wasn't that great. It was filled with beef which was good, but it lacked sauce and the noodles weren't all that.
