I went into the crawl space with them multiple times, and they clearly explained what they had done at each stage. They also gave me great advice on preventative maintenance I can do myself to keep things in top shape. Yes, it was an investment--but 100% worth it. The quality of their work has increased the equity in my home and will save me money in the future. I've gone with cheap contractors before and ended up paying more in the long run due to poor work. Long story short, here is the last paragragh from the email I received regarding the assessment of the property. "Bottom line, the foundation concerns flagged in the home inspection report can be addressed with targeted, reasonable repairs. This property does not present the kind of foundational risk that should threaten a transaction." Well, like a dummie, I believed in their word and went through with the purchase. Needless to say, a month later as I am trying to get an addition added to the home I find that the foundation they deemed was 'no risk' is actually going to run me about $160k to fix. Once they completed the larger more expensive project in the attic they stopped answering my calls, texts, and emails. They had someone come over to the house to check the other rooms had them pull up our floor boards to take a look then never followed up to actually provide the service. I have called both my point of contact and the office multiple times with no response. As a result I am having to go with another company to have the rest of our work done which is extremely unfortunate. I really dont post reviews that often but I just wanted to relay my experience as I use yelp for a lot of my home service projects and rely on honest feedback not just artificially generated positive reviews.

After supplying Hal the items needed he finished and gave me an estimate. Afterwards I had several questions and tried to reach Pride Insulation. I left several voice mail and email messages. No response. Finally, I left a deserved review on Yelp and quickly received a call from Hal (Pride Insulation). Hal said that this review would hurt their business and asked if there was anything he could do to help the situation. I explained that I had called and sent email and had no response. And if this is how they treat a potential customer image what kind of response you would get if there were problems once the job was finished. Hal agreed to work and correct the problems. We agreed for him to do the work on Monday February 27, 2017. I paid him 50% after he argued that he usually gets 100% of the money up front! Hal then said he would call me the next day to set up the insulation install. So I waited all day Tuesday. All day Wednesday. All day Thursday. No call. Tonight, Thursday evening I called Hal and canceled any insulation install and requested a refund of the deposit. Be careful doing business with any insulation company that: (1) Arrives late with no call. (2) Doesn't have a ladder. (3) Needs to borrow a flashlight. (4) Won't return phone calls or email. (5) Asks for 100% deposit. (6) Doesn't do what they say they will do.

The owner/estimator told me he could not even give an rough estimate for a semi-finished attic without removing all existing insulation and drywall. I told him I knew drywall, fiberglass, etc. would need to come down before doing the job, but he should be able to give an estimate. Two other reputable, long-standing companies could - why not him? When I expressed disbelief, he said "winning or losing one job won't make or break me". I went with Creative Conservation instead and was very happy with the end result.
