We had an 8 degree difference between our first and second floor, and had 6 companies come and give…read morequotes (yes, six!) Zion Insulators was the most thorough in their estimate, as well as most competitively priced. I wish all our estimates for home improvements had this same combination of quality and affordability. Felix and Jose replaced the fallen baffles, air sealed everything, created a dam for the attic hatch to maximize the insulation around the hatch, brought our blow-in insulation up to R-49, and took pictures of their finished work. The degree difference is now just 3 degrees, and much more comfortable. To top it off, Felix gave me a ring about a month later to see how the insulation was performing, and will stop by to make some very minor improvements around the attic hatch that I would not have demanded or expected. So I give them all the credit for being amazing professionals who go above and beyond. I'd say I did plenty of research, and can recommend Zion Insulators without hesitation. Thanks again!

I had a fantastic experience with The Drying Company. Ben (the Foreman), RJ, and Jon were absolute…read moreprofessionals. They cleaned out my crawl space, removed all mold, and installed a 20mm vapor barrier with a 20-year warranty. They worked efficiently and made sure everything was done right. I went into the crawl space with them multiple times, and they clearly explained what they had done at each stage. They also gave me great advice on preventative maintenance I can do myself to keep things in top shape. Yes, it was an investment--but 100% worth it. The quality of their work has increased the equity in my home and will save me money in the future. I've gone with cheap contractors before and ended up paying more in the long run due to poor work. This was the opposite experience. Huge shoutout to Ben, RJ, and Jon--if I need more work done on my home, I'll be asking for them by name. Highly recommend The Drying Company!

Either these guys are the laziest Structural Engineers on the planet or they just have no clue…read more I used them for an assessment for a home I was purchasing after the inspector flagged a few concerns and recommended I bring in a Structural Engineer. Long story short, here is the last paragragh from the email I received regarding the assessment of the property. "Bottom line, the foundation concerns flagged in the home inspection report can be addressed with targeted, reasonable repairs. This property does not present the kind of foundational risk that should threaten a transaction." Well, like a dummie, I believed in their word and went through with the purchase. Needless to say, a month later as I am trying to get an addition added to the home I find that the foundation they deemed was 'no risk' is actually going to run me about $160k to fix. Thanks, Joel Lay (Home Performance Advisor) You suck....

Out of 5 days of spray foam work, they only did real work once. Also, they almost killed our cat by using the wrong foam, despite telling them he would be home. Luckily they had an equipment malfunction. We're two weeks into a 3 day job with no end in sight, and no insulation on our house.

I called Pride Insulation to give me an estimate on adding insulation to my home. Hal called and…read moregave me a time and date for the estimate. Warning sign #1 - Hal arrived 20 minutes late but I thought oh well things happen. Warning sign #2 - When I showed him where the attic hatch was he informed me he didn't have a ladder and asked if I had one he could use. Warning sign #3 - Hal then informed me that the light on his phone wasn't working well and asked if I had a flashlight he could borrow. After supplying Hal the items needed he finished and gave me an estimate. Afterwards I had several questions and tried to reach Pride Insulation. I left several voice mail and email messages. No response. Finally, I left a deserved review on Yelp and quickly received a call from Hal (Pride Insulation). Hal said that this review would hurt their business and asked if there was anything he could do to help the situation. I explained that I had called and sent email and had no response. And if this is how they treat a potential customer image what kind of response you would get if there were problems once the job was finished. Hal agreed to work and correct the problems. We agreed for him to do the work on Monday February 27, 2017. I paid him 50% after he argued that he usually gets 100% of the money up front! Hal then said he would call me the next day to set up the insulation install. So I waited all day Tuesday. All day Wednesday. All day Thursday. No call. Tonight, Thursday evening I called Hal and canceled any insulation install and requested a refund of the deposit. Be careful doing business with any insulation company that: (1) Arrives late with no call. (2) Doesn't have a ladder. (3) Needs to borrow a flashlight. (4) Won't return phone calls or email. (5) Asks for 100% deposit. (6) Doesn't do what they say they will do.
