KO completed a crawl space insulation job for us. The team was prompt and tidy and did a great job. We would use them again.

Prompt, courteous, and did great work. Our attic is now usably as a home office. We appreciate it!

Following an insurance related water leak in my attic, my contractor subbed KO Insulation to complete my insulation needs. Keith Allen, the owner, came out to do the job. He and his colleague were punctual, informational and thorough. They left the work area exceptionally neat and tidy as well. I don't hesitate to give them 5 stars and recommend them without hesitation. read more

Keith returned to my home to put some insulation behind a small refrigerator. He also sealed around the electrical outlet that was leaking cold air. There's a clear improvement! Keith is truly a pleasure to have come work in your home. read more

Great service. Kieth and his assistant installed the insulation in a few hours and left no trace. The insulation has helped tremendously during this oppressively hot summer. The cost was among the lowest of the five companies that I received estimates from. On top of that, Kieth is very pleasant and was able to install the installation within a week of me reaching out to him. read more

Contacted this company on Yelp and got a fairly quick call back. He laid out their services and assured me that they serviced my area and that they handled jobs like the one I had reached out about all the time. He said to text him my address and availability, which I did. That was Thursday, texted again to check in on Monday since I still hadn't received a response. Why ask someone for their home address if you're not going to come out for an estimate, or even respond? Very disappointing response to a time sensitive safety issue. This company can't be counted on or trusted to follow through. Wish I'd reached out to more companies rather than taking this one at their word. Would recommend steering clear of them. read more

We hired KO insulation to insulate the attic space in our 1930's DC home. Kieth was the utmost professional - prompt, communicative and reasonable priced. I would recommend him to anyone looking for insulation needs. read more

Probably the best person in the area to perform insulation work. What a pleasant person to work with. Quoted at an extremely low price. Came in. Did exactly what I was hoping. Baffled the soffits to aerate my roof. Got the insulation in the attic to R38 levels. Keith is a great person to talk to and get a quote from. He wants what is best for you. read more

I contacted KO Insulation to get a quote for some attic insulation in my house. My setup was particularly difficult because there is no access to portions of my attic. Keith responded to my inquiry immediately and came out soon after to give me a quote at no charge. Keith was extremely friendly and professional and after surveying my space, talked over some options with me for how to accomplish what I needed. A few days later he gave me a quote, which was extremely competitive with other pricing I received. After agreeing to move forward Keith and his team showed up and got everything taken care of in just a few short hours. The results were impressive. I immediately feel the effects of having the insulation installed and am so happy I chose KO Insulation to get me taken care of! One major difference I noticed between KO Insulation and most others is that KO Insulation doesn't charge these absurd fees to come out and do these extravagant "energy audits" of your home, only just to tell you what you already know. Since I knew that I needed an insulation and that's really the only thing I needed, I avoided those companies altogether. I'm happy with the results. read more

We had Keith and his partner re-insulate our attic. They are super friendly, ready to answer and question, flexible and quote fairly. They worked super hard and did a great job leaving everything clean and in order. 200% would recommend them read more

KO insulation exceeded my expectations! I contacted them on Wednesday and Keith came out the same day to give me a quote on insulating my attic. Keith is honest, reliable and professional. Keith is awesome. He was super easy to work with as he texted and got a lot of details from me before arriving for the estimate. He provided a very reasonable proposal for attic insulation and worked with my crazy moving in schedule. A great job and we've already booked him for a return to do some insulation in our garage. read more

Keith quickly responded to my inquiry and took a look at our attic insulation, or lack thereof. Ahead of his own time deadline, he got back to us with his estimate for installation of additional attic insulation, which was extremely reasonable compared to nearly every other company I looked into. He happened to have a cancellation and he had us scheduled and installed in record time, and the work done was great! Once the staff came in, we hardly even noticed they were there until they were done. I took a peek around after the work was completed and it's exactly as I would have wanted. His staff made sure to be conscious of existing bathroom fans, and even moved our misplaced fan vent so that it was properly placed for ideal ventilation. We can already tell the improvement in temperature differences between our first and second floors! I highly, highly recommend KO Insulation -- go with a local company that does an excellent job. read more

KO Insulation - Insulated ceiling - Insulation Installation Near Me

We recently moved into our home and had some sound issues with the in-law suite. I looked on yelp and via other methods for companies that could help with this issue. I got a CRAZY quote and then I found Keith - I actually called him while he was on vacation and he called me back when he returned. He performed some sound proofing in both the ceiling and the wall of our in-law suite and things are sounding MUCH BETTER. Keith ALSO kept the in-law suite clean and even dusted with a FEATHER DUSTER upon completion. Keith is kind, honest, communicative and an all around good guy. Once the spouse and I can agree on the basement - I plan on utilizing KO Insulation again. read more

After calling around to other insulation companies, they all wanted things done first, or wanted to add extra. When I called Keith, he told me none of those things were an issue. He beat the big company's prices and did a beautiful job on blowing insulation into my attic. Very professional and very friendly. When I talked to him on the phone I knew he was the one. I HIGHLY recommend him. read more

We had an excellent experience with Keith and KO Insulation. Very responsive and the crew did an excellent job on our attic insulation project! The crew was professional and clean. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Keith was subcontracted as part of a larger project. He was quick, professional and friendly. I feel very confident that the blown in insulation he added to my attic will make my home more energy efficient. My a/c usually runs all day through the summer (I keep my thermostat at 74 for reference), and as soon as he was done it cut off. He beat a quote I got from a home energy audit company by quite a bit and has a lot more years of experience. Would totally recommend. read more

As previously stated I really wanted to work with Keith and I wasn't let down. Though initially disappointed by not being able to get the consultation done I understand that he was in a busy season and did his best to get to me. Mr. Keith was the first company to respond from Yelp. I received a quote from someone else then decided to search elsewhere & Yelp came up in my search. He was professional, reasonable, on time & kept me informed. After getting a quote, I contacted Terminix and KO was the best quote. Praying we see a savings in the electric bill and a difference in the temps in our rooms. read more

I have a 1978 house, stuck in 1978! the Insulation in our crawl space was inadequate, falling out of rafters and due to plumbing leaks, wet insulation. Keith was completely transparent, offered a fair price, always communicated promptly, and the job went exactly as promised. I will have him back to do my attic. When Keith came out he spent half hour under the house, and sat with me to explain and discuss everything. He was the only one to point out the original insulation had been installed wrong side up and the R Factor was too low. When I told him someone else recommended leaving the "good" Insulation in place, and reusing any insulation (fallen) in good condition. He pointed out leaving it wrong side up/down was as good as no Insulation. I liked his honesty, and educating me and agreed to a quote. Keith called me as promised that Monday with his price. He would remove all the existing Insulation and replace the entire living space with the correct R Factor. His estimate was reasonable, his employee arrived promptly for two days, worked all day and completed the job as promised day two. Before leaving he informed me of a leak he saw while in my crawl space. If he didn't tell me, I would have a leak I knew nothing about. I highly recommend you contact KO Insulation before hiring anyone! Thank You. read more

KO Insulation was very prompt when responding! Mr. Keith was very professional and on-time which is a plus! He was in and out in 1.5 hours and provided his own drop cloths for my wood floors :) not to mention I felt a temperature difference upstairs almost immediately after he finished! His pricing was great and I would definitely recommend him to family and friends. read more

It's hard to get reviews. I would know I run a business myself. I am guilty for not taking the time to give out reviews also. However I am impressed with KO insulation and the profession service I was given. Response time was critical. I had to get this done the following morning. They responded quickly to my request. Gave me a price over the phone and was at the property 8am the following morning. KO insulation completed the job in a timely manner. They were clean and respectful of the home. I could not stay however I was sent pictures of a completed job! These days its tricky hiring companies to help with whatever may come. But I know if you ever need this type of service. KO insulation is the company to call! Thank you for helping us out! read more

Stop looking and hire Keith today! Trust me, he's the best out there. He brings the experience of big name (high $$$$) insulators, but at a fraction of the cost. He does such amazing work and clearly knows what he's doing. He's also a lovely human being and great to chat with and get to know. I spent 2 weeks gathering quotes and meeting contractors, and wish I had just gone with Keith at the start. Kind, quality, fast, knowledgeable, thorough, reasonably priced. read more

Called several companies to come take a look at a property in landover that I was doing renovation work to. It desperately needed insulation in the attic because there was barely any. Keith was very responsive and straight forward. Had multiple estimates and he was the most cost effective and was willing to work with our schedule. He came in the appt window he said he would come and gave me 30 min notice of him coming to the property which says a lot to me as a person who cares about their clients time. They got setup fairly quickly and whole process took about hour and a half. They tried their best to leave the same way they came as far as cleanliness which is good but dealing with insulation is never easy so I didn't mind the small cleanup. All in all, for what service was given to what I paid I'm happy with the results. I would recommend and/or use them for future projects. read more

We just bought a new house in Nov. 23 and discovered our home inspector missed the fact that there was barely any insulation in the attic. Along with that, we had dead animals, feces, and a lot of other nasty stuff up there. After receiving a couple of quotes from other companies, I saw the reviews for KO Insulation and decided to call. Keith responded immediately and made time to come out and provide a quote. I received a quote the same day as his visit, and it was almost unbelievable because it was so good. The very next day I had some workers and Keith come out and remove, clean/disinfect, and install new insulation. The service is unreal and the prices make you think there is a catch, but the only catch is you have to call them to get a quote if you need it! Thank you again Keith and crew!!! read more

Keith and his colleague did a fantastic job for us in our home in October 2022. He was professional and competitive in visiting the site and providing a quote. He then was quick in following up and doing the work, something that is not always true, especially in this market. His price was among the best for adding in 16" of insulation into our attic but his professionalism and friendliness made him stand out. The fact he was a local and minority owned small company was an added value, in my opinon. He even threw in some small additional insulation for basement work as a kind gesture when he saw an area in need. Without a doubt I'll call Keith when anyone asks for a recommendation. read more

Keith was nothing but professional and easy to work with! We needed insulation across our entire main level, and knew nothing about the process, but he made it easier than we could have imagined. The work was quick, effective, and he was very communicative during the entire process which was important to us. Highly recommend! read more

KO Insulation was awesome. We were scheduling our final inspection following our rehabilitation of our property only to discover we forgot to replace some of the removed insulation. Sensing our predicament, Mr. Allen promptly fitted us in for an estimate, and even called us when he got an earlier opening in his schedule for the job. They worked quickly and efficiently to complete our project. Because we were also preparing to show the property, I was concerned about the insulation getting all over the house, but we had to get it done. First a very tiny bit of insulation escaped, and our clean property was left clean. We passed inspection, and had a great showing. I have already recommended this company and would use them again. read more
