The Founders team did a really nice job with our basement insulation project. The price was fair, and they were very responsive during the quoting process. The project was delivered on time and exactly as we had discussed with them. Where we were most impressed though was in the level of customer service they provided. After removing the insulation in our basement, we found a few surprises that were covered up by the old insulation. Founders was extremely accommodating as we worked with other contractors to get those issues (unexpected and unrelated to insulation) squared away. I realize having the other contractors come in was probably pretty disruptive to their workflow, and Brian and his team said he understood our situation and did everything he could to help us out. They gave the best quote by far and the workers were professional and polite. They sent someone to fix nail pops that occured after the insulation was completed, which saved us a lot of work to fix ourselves. I would highly recommend them! read more

I had a great experience with Founders Insulation for open cell spray foam insulation in my basement ceiling (1200sqft). Warren and Brian were very responsive, and Alexis and Antonio did a fantastic and honest job. They meticulously filled gaps with foam, and even when some small gaps were noticed after completion, they promptly fixed them by unrolling the hose again. Their quick response, reasonable pricing, and dedication to a fair and honest job on site were definitely advantages worth mentioning. I am writing this review of Jeff, an administrator of Founders Insulation. Wow! What an amazing character! He came here, as requested, on time, with a ladder and a phone. Once on a ladder, he quickly assessed the quality of previous workmanship, materials used and thoroughness of the entire work performance. He took multiple photos and explained very clearly what he saw, what he perceived had been accomplished and unsolicited, said he would write it all down. As he was leaving, he said even if I used another company, it didnt matter, he wanted to help me! We are purchasing a new home and realized that the attached garage needed insulation because, according to code, the builder didn't have to insulate a space that is not located below a conditioned area. Our builder's PM allowed us to add our own insulation, but we had a narrow window - It could only happen on a specific date between 1pm and the following morning (when the builder's contractors would install the drywall). I had to find a company that was responsive, could send someone out to provide a quote quickly, and also meet the tight deadline imposed on us. Insert Founders Insulation. I submitted a Yelp request at 7:30pm on a Friday, and they responded within 10 minutes. I called expecting to leave a voicemail and spoke to Brian about the situation. He offered to have someone come out to the site that Saturday to look at the job and answer any questions we had. Sure enough, the next day, I was showing our consultant Jamie the job. He provided excellent insight and clearly knew his craft. We ended up doing more than just the garage, and added sound dampening insulation between the basement and the main floor (mainly because of the anticipated noise due to the hardwood floors), and also sound dampening insulation around the bedrooms (rockwool insulation). Jamie provided a reasonable estimate the same day, and by Monday, the General Manager Warren called to coordinate scheduling. This level of customer service and attention to detail is rare in the post-COVID era. More impressive than all this was that on the day of the installation, the two technicians who installed the insulation surpassed my expectations in terms of professionalism, attention to detail, and quality of work. The work was so well executed that our builder's PM said, "Wow, your guys did some real good work." He went on to say, "Looks really good. Quality work, installed properly, and fully filled wall cavities." As a kicker, Jamie stopped by on the day of install to check on his staff and see how the work was progressing - Overall, it was a great experience. I'm very pleased with the work and highly recommend Founders Insulation to any and all. We will certainly be using them again once we finish our media room. read more

The top floor of our three level townhouse was an oven. Correctly installed insulation provided instant relief, reducing top floor temperatures by as much as 6°. The team from Founders Insulation did a terrific job, working quietly, efficiently, and politely to install my attic insulation. I was impressed with the ease of obtaining estimates, and they also uncovered an easily fixed problem with my ductwork that I was able to resolve before they came to complete the insulation. Not quite sure how there are these five star reviews. So I scheduled with them to have insulation installed and we set a date which was about a month out. The date approached and no notification or anything that we were still a go or what time they would even show up so I could plan my day. I reached out to Warren the manager and didn't get a response from him until several hours after they arrived to do the work. While here the installers said they would take before and after photos of the work and send it to me. They did not. I asked Warren the manager to send them to me and he sent one before and one after pic of my crawl space, which there should have been more photos and none of my attic. I also asked if he could send an itemized bill for tax write off purposes. He said he could before I officially hired them and said he could on the day the work was done. I reached out to him after the work was done to check on getting the rest of the photos and to get the itemized bill Nothing. I told him I can't go up the ladder or down into the crawl space due to a surgery so I wanted to check what was done with photos. If you want a company that does what they promise and communicates then try somewhere else. read more

Founders were fast to respond and offered the most competitive pricing out of the handful of quotes I received. They did my attic - both air sealing, blown in insulation, and home door insulation. They were on time, professional, and took the time to explain exactly what they were doing and then showed it to me. I had an issue with my door insulation and they returned quickly to ensure that my doors were sealed despite an issue with how they are installed, making it more of a challenge beyond adding weather stripping.
