The last project included adding a outside hookup and line that attaches to our portable Generac generator outside to our breaker box inside, also replacing most of our old and dangerous inside electrical outlets, and checking and repairing a couple of fan switches. They also placed a surge protector into the breaker box for lightning strikes. Loved my experience with Above The Code! My husband runs a business in our home and he was knocking the electricity out with his equipment. They were very professional, fast, and friendly. They had no issue replacing my super old living room light fixture and it was done within 30 min. The woman Susan I believe was super nice on the phone and assured me they took Covid precautions and had a lot of ring installs recently. When I bought my condo a few years ago, there was a small ceiling fan-light combo already installed in the room I use for an office. The fan didn't do much cooling and the wall control never worked properly; the light and fan couldn't be operated separately and the light never reached full brightness. Finally, the wall control burned out. The technician from Above the Code explained that the wall control had only a two-wire hookup instead of the required three-wire hookup. He also explained that a post-construction three-wire hookup would be messy and costly, so he recommended installing an on-off switch in place of the wall control, and installing a remote-controlled ceiling fan-light combo in place of the existing one. So I bought a new, larger fan-light combo with a hand-held remote. The technician returned promptly to install it quickly and tidily. Now I have a better-looking and more effective ceiling fan, and a bright overhead light that operates independently of the fan. read more

We called Above the Code Electric after our electric went out. The team was booked out 3 days with all the work needing done. The same day I got a call stating that the teams got done early and could be here in a few hours. The team seemed to really care about solving the issues quickly! After arriving everyone was polite and helpful in figuring out what was wrong. The power was turned back on within 1.5 to 2 hours. The team left and everything was working. The next day the power was out and I have them and they sent the same team out. They were super courteous and explained we might have to go deeper and check every plug in the house. After an 45 minutes the team figured it was a defective outlet upstairs. I appreciated the straight talk on what could be the issues and explaining everything logically.
