Lance is a pleasure to work with. All the other reviews praising his service and professionalism are exactly right.

Very fast, friendly, and affordable. Quentin and his apprentice (sorry, I forgot his name!) were terrific. I hired Old Town to install 3 ceiling fans. I originally tried using the Lowe's install option, but Lowe's outsources installs to the Angi app which was awful to deal with - miscommunication all over the place and dealing with their customer service was a headache. I finally reached out to Old Town to try a local installer. I'm so glad I did. Old Town were great communicators throughout the entire process, showed up on time, were professional, and the project cost was significantly less than what Angi was asking. I will absolutely be calling Old Town for my next project, thank you so much! read more

Lance was amazing. He was professional, fast, and fairly priced. We were in a jam and needed new service installed for an electric range, and it was the week before Thanksgiving. Lance fit us into his schedule and completed the work in time for us to host our family. Everything worked and looked great. He was very clean, quick, and thorough. I highly recommend Lance. read more

If you are looking for someone to help you decide on your EV charging at home please call Lance. I was looking for the most economical and safest way to charge my new EV. I am so glad I called Old Town Electric. Although, every job is different my man Lance was able to give me an idea and a range for the install. The best news was it was cheaper than I was quoted. This is why I want to HIGHLY recommend Old Town Electric. Lance was able to finish the job based on my site selection if the box at a cheaper rate. After the install Lance stayed and helped me figure out how to plug in my new adapter. Truly awesome, responsive and first class service. In conclusion, I highly recommend you give Old Town a call for your electrical needs. A+ Service! read more

Like everyone who has hired Lance, I am very pleased with his service. He was very personable, efficient and knew his stuff. We had a last-minute change of installment plans and he made it all happen easily. He even pointed out some problems in my 'new' lighting fixture that the supplier seemed oblivious about. I will follow up on that. Professional, reasonable prices and a big Recommendation from me. read more

While doing our hardwood floors an outlet wire was accidentally cut. I contacted Old Town Electric on a Saturday night and got a response within 30 minutes. Lance got me scheduled for a visit Monday afternoon. He was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. We are very pleased and will use again in the future. read more

Great service and reasonable pricing! Lance came out to fix several light switches. He was quick and efficient and was also able to give me some advice on other electrical questions I had. Will definitely be using Old Town Electric for future electrician needs. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting Lance today as he worked on fixing a few issues by the previous DIYers owners. Lance is one of the more personable, reliable, and thorough individuals I've had the pleasure of dealing with. He fixed a few improper wiring situations, but most importantly he found a improper wire splice in the crawl space that I never would have noticed. Without sounding to melodramatic, someone not knowing what they are doing can have deadly consciousnesses. I am grateful that I found Lance, and that he was knowledgeable enough to identify a serious problem, and correct it on the spot in a timely manner. Thanks again Lance. -A read more

The reviews regarding Lance and his work are certainly true. I scheduled an appointment via Yelp messaging with Lance last week and he promptly showed up 15 minutes early ready to go. He was in and out within an hour and did a fantastic job. Clean install of a replacement fitting and even patched up a few holes to make things a bit nicer looking. Super friendly and very knowledgeable! Highly recommend Lance to any one for electric work! read more

Lance: He came twice to install a Swarovski crystal chandelier in my new home, Moseley VA. First attempt we had some parts missing he recommends me old chandelier restoration store to get the parts and later he came to get it installed in our formal sitting area.... Excellent job, just little pricy as I felt. But overall a good guy to deal with.. Def recommended. Will be calling him soon to install my LED SAMSung 65" on our family room dry wall. read more

You never know what you're going to get when you need any kind of service done as a homeowner and sometimes you'll find yourself procrastinating...but it's usually always better once you've taken care of the issues. Lance made this super stress free for me! I messaged him on Yelp looking for help with a bathroom light and an outdoor light and he responded immediately. He fixed the lights quickly and efficiently, and then asked if there was anything else he could take care of while he was here. I asked for help with an outlet that was loose and he fixed it. Any questions I had were answered and the final bill was quite reasonable. If you need an expert electrician, do yourself a favor and call Old Town Electric LLC! read more

Quick, responsive service from a professional company. My neighborhood recently had a string of vehicle break-ins, so we decided to install motion detector flood lights. Lance was able to quote me a reasonable price over the phone and came out the next day. His price was very reasonable and he stuck to it. I recommended Lance to my neighbors, and to you. read more

I contacted Lance for a few issues around the house as well as to get a new circuit installed. My crawl space had a junction box that was clearly undersized for the number of wires in it. Lance replaced that and while in the crawl space saw a wire hanging without a junction box. He replaced that as well. He was very thorough. For the new circuit, he heard what I was looking to do and presented me with another option that not only got me the dedicated circuit I was looking for, but kept the existing circuit giving me more outlets in the area. Afterwards, he cleaned up everything. A great experience from start to finish. Thanks Lance! read more

The owner appears honest, he is reliable and does a very thorough job. I've used them multiple times and the service is consistently great!

Lance was fast to respond and set up an appointment quickly. He solved my problem quickly and I liked that the pricing was transparent and didn't make me book for a half a day like some other companies were trying to do. Definitely recommend and will use again. read more

Lance (Old Town Electric) deserves 5 stars and more! First, he came to our house to install coax ports because we (somehow) had 0 when we moved in. We had the hardest time getting anyone to do this job, including our cable company, but he replied quickly to our inquiry and said it would be no problem. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient when the job took longer than expected due to our house's configuration. Great experience. My next interaction with him is the one that really sets him apart from the rest. I decided that I (with literally no electrical prowess whatsoever) would attempt to install new programmable thermostats in my house. How hard could it be? Well, in doing so, I managed to blow a fuse on our air handler, which made me feel both stupid and panicked. I called Lance, having had a good experience with his first visit, and he was able to come out the next night and accommodate my work schedule to boot. When he arrived, he not only fixed the problem, but when I asked, he showed me how to do the repair myself if I ever need to in the future. He also drew a diagram of the thermostat's wires for me so that I wouldn't make the same mistake again. The whole time, he continually assured me that my mistake was an easy one to make, which made me feel a lot less stupid. He seriously saved the day. Bottom line - I highly recommend Lance for your electrical needs, you will not be disappointed! read more

I can't say enough good things about Lance. He went the extra mile time and time again with out project. At every turn there seemed to be something else the house through at Lance and he figured out the best solution quickly and easily. I would highly recommend Lance to anyone! read more

I contacted Lance @ Old Town Electric after reading the many glowing testimonials from the other customers on Yelp. He replied very quickly with a phone call. Like the other reviews mentioned Lance is very personable as well as professional. Prior to coming out Lance took all the time with me on the phone to discuss our electrical problem (blinking lights and outage in a room). Lance came out to the house inspected the outlets, replaced wall receptacle, repaired a light switch that had been poorly installed by someone else. He diagnosed and fixed the loose connection/wiring problem with the electrical service panel. He even inspected our ceiling fan light. High quality work. Terrific service, very professional and affordable. I highly recommend Lance/Old Town Electric! read more

Excellent electrician! Very reasonably priced! Work done to perfection! Lance is very professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

I am an avid DIYer but I needed to rewire a switch and install a complicated Fandalier (fan+ chandelier) and it was way out of my comfort zone. I read the reviews and took a chance with Old Town Electric and Lance responded to my Ylep message in under 5 minutes. He took the time to understand my issue over the phone and talked through options before we even scheduled an appointment. He was so thorough and helpful from start to finish. He tried to find the best options for me to keep the cost down and he explained what he was doing and why so I would understand for the future. Old Town Electric will be my go-to electrician from now on. Awesome experience and a reasonable price. read more

When you contact Old Town Electric, you are contacting the owner himself. This can be a great thing in the level of personalized service and understanding of client needs. Lance Bosher, (lance@oldtownelectric.net, 804-551-5476), is very responsive and a consummate professional from start to finish. His website is worthy of a perusal in that he is capable of doing much more than the available Yelp categories: http://www.oldtownelectric.net/ He is NOT just an Electrician. He does all electrical related repairs, remodeling, upgrades, back-up generators, commercial new construction, renovations & additions, fiber optic lighting, landscape lighting, and much more. Since 1998 and owning 2 homes in RVA/Chesterfield area, just to get someone to call you back or show-up can be challenging. This half comical/half sad given the economy local contractor stereotype that I harbored was dashed the moment Lance called me back in a more than reasonable time expectation, and actually showed-up in the midst of a typhoon-like downpour on time and ready to work. We bought our current home 2 & 1/2 years ago and whoever built it felt it unnecessary to have an exhaust fan in the master bathroom. (My wife can tell you that living with me, this is an ABSOLUTE necessity!). 2 years ago I had 1 electrician turn-down the job because of the duct work and wiring routing difficulty, and another not show up or answer calls after agreeing to "give it a shot." (??) In addition to this "life-cannot-continue" need for a bathroom exhaust fan, I needed the jacuzzi tub repaired, a ceiling fan installed, 2 master bath vanity light fixtures, & an outside light repaired/replaced. Lance's quote was more than reasonable given my perception of the scope of work. The reality of how reasonable it was is found in that he arrived at 9:00 AM, and despite the rain, some challenges that were unexpected, etc, he left at 5:30 PM...2 hours AFTER we all received a tornado/dangerous weather warning texts on our phones. He seems like the type of person that comports himself with a high degree of integrity and wasn't going to leave until he finish. This is what a craftsman and tradesman is like. I know he is a husband and father and thus I hope his business grows and flourishes because based on my experience, he deserves it. read more

Lance offers great service, a more-than-reasonable price, and careful workmanship. The best electrician I've ever used.

I put off calling electricians for about 2 weeks because I was super anxious about the cost and hassle of finding someone that wouldn't BS me. Lance was the second call I made. The first told me that it would be 50$-100$ just to come diagnose the problem. I called old town and left a message. Lance called me back in about 5 minutes, asked me to tell him what was going on and after I finished describing my issues he confidently diagnosed over the phone and gave me a MORE than fair estimate. To top it off he said he would try to make it same day and he did. Lance is super knowledgeable and has great customer service. I'd recommend Old Town to anyone and we'll definitely be using them again! read more

We have had Lance do several jobs for us over the last few years, I really like knowing we have someone trustworthy to call for electrical issuses. He has installed new outlets, new pod lights, put a ceiling fan on a light switch. Recently we had him change our panel box and wire it for a generator. He is very efficient and quick to fix other things he finds that are not how they should be. I highly recommend him for any electrical job you need done read more

AMAZING! I found Lance through yelp after being stood-up by an electrician that same morning. We have a baby due in the next couple weeks and I was panicking because one of our outlets melted in the kitchen. Lance came out the same day and fixed the problem in no time. I will sleep much better now. Very reasonably priced especially for same day service and coming out after I got off work! Will definitely be using him again for all future electrical needs. read more

Lance has been here twice now. Once to fix what another electrician messed up, and again this afternoon to install a new fixture. He called me back promptly and came out quickly both times. In fact today, I called him in the late morning and he was able to get over here around 4pm. Installed the fixture and was done quickly. Did a neat, clean job and was *very* reasonably priced. I'm a satisfied customer and will be calling Old Town again for future work. read more

We will definitely work with Lance from now on. He returned my message quickly, was available on short notice, fixed all the electrical problems I knew I had and one I wasn't aware of, and charged a fair price. That problem we weren't aware of was an invisible one but a potential fire hazard in the room where my toddler naps. Lance eliminated it. Again, we're very happy with his service. read more

Lance came to fix 2 ceiling fans. After we decided they needed to be replaced he went and got and installed both and fixed a problem with the switch.
