I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!! I requested a quote for replacing a chain switch in a ceiling fan and repair of an outlet on our deck. Got an estimate of $264.99 Electrician Andrew came out and replaced the chain switch and located outlet problem. He spent a couple of hours. He said that he could fix the outlet but didn't have the wire he needed with him [I'm not sure why an electrician doesn't carry wire with him on service calls]. He said that he'd have to come back and run a single wire between two outlets less than 20 feet apart. He charged me $258.99. He said that Connect would send me a receipt and call to schedule completion of the repair. After a couple of days of no contact from Connect, I called and scheduled a followup visit to complete the repair. Electrician Kevin came out and ran the wire. This took all of 45 minutes to run one wire and I WAS CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $333.99!!! When I asked for an itemized receipt with labor broken out, they refused to do it! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! read more

If I could give Connect Electric zero stars I would. First they misquoted the scope of the job, which ended up being three times what they said it would be originally. This is after I had asked them to send someone over to specifically check the breaker box prior to giving me a quote. When they showed up, after paying them half of the estimate, they said we needed a new breaker box. When I spoke to the snotty telephone agent she said they quoted only an "evaluation" of the breaker box. We already knew the box was bad and needed to be replaced, so that is why I had asked them to check the box. I was going to go with them, but the scheduling agent, office manager was a complete B so we decided to have another company who we knew the owner complete the job. Following that, we had them complete the little jobs at quadruple the price it should have been, but they did not even do that. The project manager seemed to be the only competent person in the company, but the rest of them were junk. We requested a refund of our money for the work that was not done, at which time they did give us about 25% of the amount that was owed back to us. I highly suggest you go elsewhere with your money if you need electrical work done. These guys are not worth the time of day. read more

We chose Connect Electric to wire some ethernet throughout the house to the outside and they did a fantastic job. It deserved the time to write a review. This was the first time to use their service but it was a great experience. From back and forth communication with their office, Belle, Joy, and others were very kind and did their best to get the materials I requested for installation, and did their best to coordinate the date and time for installation. When the team showed up, they went straight to work. Very kind / curteous and warm hearted guys included Demond, Kevin, Joel, and Malcolm. Very kind to my family. They seemed experienced and familiar with their work, and they immediately understood all that was needed to be done. They were patient and skillful and were able to come up with solutions to get things the way I had desired it. They didn't rush, and they took the time to make sure everything was just right, from start to finish. They swept away debris, put back the moldings/trim that had to be temporarily removed, and left the home in clean condition. Final cost was exactly as we had discussed beforehand. Overall a very professional job. Trustworthy. They will be my company of choice when I need electrical work. I recommend them, and I can only imagine you will have the same great experience. Incredible service. We thought the electrical issue in our house was a complex one. Demond (the electrician) was incredibly helpful and fixed what turned out to be a simple issue and even looked into another issue with the extra time in the service call window (1-hour). Some other companies might try to milk more time or up sell a simple issue. Suggestions were made for what we could do to fix the second issue (the one looked into with the extra time), but nothing was pushed, just mentioned that they would send us some estimates on what that repair would cost if we decided to fix it. The service I've gotten from Connect Electrical is the best and most professional of any work we've had done at our home in the 12 years we've lived here. Even though they were super helpful on the phone, they also use a text system to communicate appointment confirmations and updates. Connect came out because I wanted a ceiling fan installed. The technician informed me that I needed a special junction box in the ceiling to hold the weight of the fan. Of course this changed the price of the job which I wasn't expecting. At least they got it installed and now I won't have to worry about my fan falling out the ceiling. I loved and had a great experience with Connect Electrical Services! They provided an estimate online based on the description of the work I needed done, and then came out and did a free in person check at my home. Demond and Kevin took the time to look at what I needed and asked questions to clarify to make sure they gave me the best quote for the work, including the amount of time it would take. I received the invoice online, accepted it, and had the service date scheduled and completed within 3 business days, and this was at Christmas time! Also, they had estimated the work would take 4 hours, and it was done in a little over an hour. (Part of the time was spent consulting on a future electrical project I want to have done.) I just cannot say how easy Connect Electrical Services made this project for me, and I will definitely be using them again in the future.
