My hubby and I just moved to Richmond! Coming from a gorgeous California apartment with beautiful lighting, I was hesitant to live in my husbands duplex. He wants us to live in this property so that we can save money. The property was built in 1952 so the lighting here is terrible. Just a couple of windows. My hubby wanted me to love it here as much as possible so he called a few electrician companies to come out and give us a quote to get his gal some good ole lighting Many of the companies were asking us to pay them money to give us a quote! We got quotes for up to $100 for just a visit to our home. Ridiculous. Anyhow my hubby found Ace Electric & they were able to get someone to come out and give us a quote the very next day. (Charge free) After they gave us the quote they actually had some guys finish work the same day! So the guys came and out started to put in our recess lighting. Cayman & Ray were awesome. Very professional. And they worked at a great pace. They did the living room and our kitchen! Took about 4 hours for each room. Did a really beautiful job & their work gave our property such a face lift. When the tenants move out of the other side of our duplex my husband will use them again to install more recess lighting. read more

I recently had an emergency at my house The problem involved they phase to ground interruption that required the electric company to shut down the power to my home. Ace electric send Bryan a helper to complete the work. They came prepared. Did a fantastic job. He stayed in contact with the company owner to make sure that all permits and inspections got through as soon as possible. The work was excellent top quality. Before I retired due to disability, I was a master electrician. The work was excellent, and the guys could not have been more professional. I highly recommend anybody who needs electrical work to give these guys a call. read more

They sent two men to our home for a flickering light in our kitchen that they repaired by switching out the bulb with one we had laying around and rewiring a light fixture that was already installed. The final bill was almost $300 with parts only being $10 of that total! We were charged $125 per person for two hours. Based on what we observed, both jobs could've been completed by one person in an hour. Even more frustrating, only one person was working. When we received the invoice we immediately reached out to express concern. We were told that someone would reach out to us to discuss our experience which never happened. Needless to say we will not be using this company again. read more

Total waste of time. I never did get my back-up generator serviced after several calls over a seven month period. Constant excuses for delays that made no sense. Absolutely no sense of customer service and weird logic for non performance. No alternatives, no solutions and always the fault of others. They insisted on getting a Maintenace kit from the factory that they said was not available that consisted of over the counter parts that were available locally! There was no logic in getting them to provide any segment of the service with out this kit. Turns out the critical part was an air filter that is available online and many suppliers but for no logical reason in this kit that after seven months Briggs and Straton was unable to provide so they said. They sent two guys over to investigate to investigate my machine that stated they were no "engine guys", they did nothing to get the machine running and charged me $188 to show up. I found out later that another contractor turned off the propane line to install a furnace . They did not even check to see if the unit was "plugged in" to the power source. Funny if it did not happen to me! Don't call ACE unless you want to get ripped off and jacked around!!! read more

Jake and his helper were here yesterday and installed my equipment and replaced my light fixture in the dining room. They even took care of an item not on their work order and fixed my ceiling fan light in my bedroom. They were courteous, quick and efficient as they always are. So glad I have Ace Electric for all of my electrical needs. They respond quickly and do high quality work. I highly recommend Ace Electric to anyone needing electrical work. I would not think of calling anyone but them. Catherine always returns my calls promptly and knows exactly who to send out to help me. They installed a new receptacle for my new smooth top range and returned to install the range hood (I bought the wrong one so they had to come back).
