I had a door that needed to be reversed. We got an estimate and it was a fair price. Communication was easy, the work was done nicely and everything was cleaned up. There was a small issue with supply chain but that was out of their hands. I'd hire this company again in a minute. read more

Very good comm. Showed up when they said they would and did the job. A little pricier than I was planning but everything is

Everything they touch turns to Gold! They have the Midas touch. We needed ceiling/ drywall repair, replace a few deck floor boards and remove old deck paint/ power wash/ repaint entire deck/ replaced missing grout and replaced all bathroom grout. They are very organized, punctual, professional and fix the job right the first time. We are now a customer for life and we are so lucky we found them. Everyone at this company goes above and beyond to communicate and get all repairs done. Do not hesitate to call and work with them. They are genuinely good people and hard workers. read more

I used True Handyman for 3 tasks - shower door and garbage disposal repair and to chemically clean stained outdoor bricks on a patio. Every contact, from website to scheduling to estimating to the actual labor, was handled professionally. Communication was prompt and clear. My work was done correctly. Would definitely hire them again. read more

From start to finish True Handyman was great to work with. Jason did a great job transforming an unused attic space into a much-needed storage room. Besides being timely and considerate, he was very detail oriented. I will definitely be using them for more jobs in the future. Can't go wrong using them. read more

I have remodeled and renovated many properties and dealt with many different contractors and True Handyman stands out as the best! Every morning I get a reminder of what employee is coming and what time to expect him/them. Jason is a very responsable and trusted man. This is the second time we use his services. Dugan was the gentleman that mainly performed our 2 bathroom remodel and he was punctual, respectful and left every day leaving the work area clean and organized. Love the quality of his work and the finished product came out gorgeous!! Will continue to use their services and highly recommend them. read more

I recently had Jason from True Handyman come to my home to do some small projects around the house that I didn't have the tools or skill to complete! He was easy to communicate with, efficient, and his work was wonderful!!! I absolutely know I'll be using them in the future! Not having great past experiences with other contractors, I feel so lucky that I found True Handyman! read more

I contacted True Handyman because I have a bunch of little jobs that need doing - truly a handyman situation. Their estimator arrived, late. He looked things over, expressed some concerns that the work might be slightly involved, and said he would have to discuss the job with the owner. Days later I received a nice, polite email saying they would be unable to help me. Quite literally thanks for nothing. There are plenty of companies in this area with the name "Handyman" in the title. so long as you want gutter guards installed or a bathtub insert, they are good to go. Try finding a true handyman in the Richmond area and you will be very disappointed. read more

Jason arrived on-time and was extremely thorough in assessing our home repair needs. We had everything from a gutter repair to a possible leak in our attic to changing a light bulb that was too high for us to change. Extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommend. We will be bringing him back for future work. Update 9/27 we had True Handyman come back to fix a variety of issues at hour house and Jason is always thorough, fair and is great to work with. We could not be happier with their services and would highly recommend. read more

Careless, rough work. Took a long time to even respond. Will not hire again.

So helpful. Very courteous. Quick to solve the need. The office staff and field staff truly care about their customers.

We've had True Handyman out for minor assorted tasks (removing an electric smoke alarm, fixing our storm door) and for a more substantive job (replacing a rotted wooden screen door). Each time, they were super professional, responsive, on time, and friendly -- and they did great work. We will be using them again for sure! read more

We are in the process of having a lot of work done on our house, from plumbing, lighting, rebuilding the deck, rotten wood repair, fixing Trex stairs, painting shutters, etc. Jimmy & Matt have been fabulous, and Jason Bond (owner) is an awesome guy and good business manager. I love how they send texts about scheduling, and keeping up apprised of the work. So far we are extremely happy with True Handyman. Pictures to follow once work is complete! :) read more

Jason is great! He came to check out a possible roof leak at my house and to repair my back storm door which had torn from the hinges. The door seemed irreparable, but somehow Jason was able to fix it and I didn't have to buy a new one! For the roof leak, Jason went up on my roof numerous times and also checked inside my attic - ultimately he confirmed that there's no longer an issue with the roof and saved me money by not charging me for unnecessary repairs! I would definitely recommend calling True Handyman for any household repairs. read more

Jason of True Handyman LLC restored our dog ramp and completed a list of small projects with skill and efficiency. Neither my husband nor myself are able to do the little nagging chores like fixing a leaky faucet, replacing light bulbs, hanging artwork, putting things away in our storage shed, and the dog ramp. Jason did not mind our list of chores and by the time he completed everything and said goodbye, I felt he is part of our family. Thanks for everything True Handyman Llc! read more

Most insulting contractor I have ever encountered. I had him estimate a couple small jobs in my home. After sitting in his truck in my driveway for an unusually long time, he finally came back in. Then he revealed that some assistant had nosed into the deed to my home, and he started asking intrusive questions about my personal business. Even worse he implied that since he did not understand who owns my home that somehow I was not to be trusted to pay him. Of all the flaming nerve!!! I have hired dozens of contractors for much bigger jobs and never once had one behave this way. The only reason a contractor would be so interested in something like that is because he often has clients who don't want to pay him. The usual reason for that is dissatisfaction with the work done. I would not hire this character if he was the last contractor on earth. Steer clear! His response: more errors and insults. He still does not understand, but thinks he has it all figured out. He's using some generic cookbook and lacks the experience to know what he's talking about or to ask a lawyer before insulting a customer. Arrogance, plain and simple. Hiring this guy is a sure fire recipe for trouble. BTW - I'm not a renter, and there will be a complaint to yelp for posting my personal business publicly. read more

Excellent and professional service! They responded to a warranty issue quickly and of course did not charge for labor. The owner, Jason, treats small jobs with the same respect as he does the big ones. I would highly recommend. read more

Kind of an odd review because True Handyman hasn't done any work for me (yet), but they have already saved me money twice over! I called True Handyman based on the content of their positive Yelp reviews (IMO, the one negative review was nonsense). Jason Bond, True Handyman's owner, came himself. He listened attentively, and patiently (I tend to ramble), offered practical suggestions, told me where he felt something was an issue and where it wasn't. Jason felt that one of the jobs I wanted done was larger in scope (combo major masonry work and landscaping) and one more specialized (slate roof repair) than areas he chooses to focus on. He not only provided me recommendations for vendors, but IMMEDIATELY phoned them--and each vendor phoned me within a half-hour. I have already met the first vendor--a lovely man, with many years of experience--and am thrilled at his affordable roofing rate. Further, as Jason had predicted, he recommended a particular type of gutter guard and said he would be willing to mount them. And this type is less expensive than the others I was considering--again, saved money, thanks to Jason! Re: work True Handyman may do, Jason and I discussed addressing a beastly hot side porch with either roof venting or polycarbonate awnings. If I can locate awnings that meet my requirements, I will definitely call on True Handyman and Jason Bond. : ) read more

Fantastic work, I used this company about 4 times in last few years, and every time they did GREAT WORK, they were respectful and never tried doing anything silly or unnecessary. Would recommend, 10/10. Thank you!! read more

Jason (from True Handyman) has got to be the most honest, knowledgeable, and trustworthy person I know. I had True Handyman came to replace a drywall - had a mold problem with my bathroom drywall around the fan area. I had a few other businesses come to look at the problem but just told me it was probably due to condensation. True Handyman went out of their way to look at my attic and finally identified the root cause of my problem! For the last couple of years, no one seem to figure out what was wrong, turns out I had a small leak from the roof! I am so glad that I had Jason come out to look. The problem could have gotten much worse! I highly recommend Jason for all your handyman needs and I'll be using his services for everything that needs fixing in my home! Thanks again Jason! read more

Update. Spoke with the business owner (Jason) whom truely seemed geniunally concerned about my ordeal and explained some of the issues that caused the lack of communication problem. The original 1-star value of the review I had written was a little unfair and was given out of frustration. Jason is working on trying to get me another quote to confirm the cost matches that of the original estimators. Will update review again if/when job is accepted/completed. I would definitely consider working with him and his team in future endeavors, thanks Jason. read more
