What I didn't know was the professionalism and attention to detail that the Project Manager (Johnnie Mastroianni) would provide. He always made sure all work was completed on time with great attention to detail. He made sure that I was "in the loop" on all work. I HIGHLY recommend Jacobs Ladder and especially Johnnie.

I'm very pleased so far with JLC. As a single-income homeowner, I was on a very limited budget…read morebut really needed to change out my masonite siding (though I was not at the best time of my life to do so and friends and family were reminding me of such). But JLC were competitive--without skimping on product or workmanship quality. Not only were they responsive to all questions & concerns, but they were timely and clean. There is something more I'd like to add (without trying to sound too melodramatic): As a single woman, many companies take advantage and/ or dismiss our worries, but I really could not afford (financially or mentally) ANYTHING to go wrong, so when I responded about a few things that weren't done quite right, they responded immediately to come and correct those things until I was satisfied. That said, I will be contacting Jacob's Ladder again for all future home improvement projects.

They also went above in my opinion with taking the time to get all the little things you don't think about like dryer vents and ect.The guy I dealt with ( Mike ) was on point with everything he said would be done. They replaced some rotten spots and sent me pictures to prove it was done before the covered the area with new siding. Now the important part. Price. Well I wasted my time, Mikes time and the people of 5 other estimates. They came in well below other Richmond / tri city area businesses. Not sure why they are so high or he. Is so low but when you save over a grand and the work was done great and on schedule with what I was quoted. Who cares. Saved money and looks better then what I expected.

Zeb & Hurson led the Mr. Fixi-It team that worked on our kitchen & half bath over the past 2 weeks…read more They were a joy to have in our home! They were both friendly and professional and clearly took so much pride in their work. They joked with our kids, asked about our music preferences and worked for hours each day with smiles on their faces. At the end of each day they would vacuum and sweep up not only the work areas, but the paths in and out of our house, trying to leave our home cleaner than they found it despite the construction. When they came back this week for the final checklist day, they even fixed a few cosmetic things they saw that we had not even noticed! While we will be happy to put our kitchen back in order, we will genuinely miss their company each day. Our kitchen is beautiful and makes me so happy! It went from being cramped to being a joy to cook in. While I know this isn't the case, both rooms feel like they got bigger through this renovation! They created an amazing transformation in our home. This was our 3rd home improvement project with Mr. Fix-It. They redid our 2 full bathrooms about 8 years ago, replaced our front door about 2 years ago and then this summer they just redid our kitchen and half bath as previously mentioned. My husband and I continue to call Mr. Fix-It for major home improvements because the quality of the work this company does is amazing and their employees are so wonderful to work with! The company also stands behind it's products. When we had a problem with the tub faucet on New Year's Eve a few years ago, the owner came to our home around 6pm to fix it himself. He was dressed nicely and clearly on his way to a party, but did not want to leave us without a working tub over the holiday weekend since we had toddlers at the time who were too small to take showers. That is the level of commitment this company gives to its customers and something I have not experienced anywhere else! I will warn you that Mr. Fix-It will cost more than if you sub-contract through a big box place like Lowe's or Home Depot, but don't let that cause you to dismiss them. You can be assured that you are working with trustworthy & knowledgeable people who will be honest with you, take pride in the quality of their work and stand behind the durability of their work for years to come!
