He installed a storm door for me, did a good job at a fair price. Then he was in the middle of another job, stood me up, and replied 10 days later. I asked when he could come and complete the job and he never replied. Very disappointed and won't be calling him again. read more

I wish I could say I was able to hire J. The main job I was hiring him for included installation of 2 new doors and removal of the old doors. Over about a month or so, he stood me up and stopped communicating several times. I can't recommend him based on his lack of communication. read more

Jahmar's work fell apart after 3 months. He did answer my call when I asked that he stand by his work, given he advertises quality and professionalism. Even offered to pay him for his time on the second repair even though the first wasn't done right. After promising to fix, now he won't answer calls/texts. Guess once he has your money, doesn't matter. Now need to pay someone to redo te work read more

Mr. Nice Guy Home Services - Poor work that became damaged - Handyman Near Me

Again, Jahmar did a great job and completed the project fast! We needed to replace the subfloor in our laundry room and lay new flooring. He was able to compete the project within a day just which allowed our new washer and dryer to be delivered in time. Jahmar and his team also wore masks during their initial visit and during the project which was very appreciated! Jahmar has also done countless projects for my parents and had done a great job! His pricing is fair as well. read more

Really excellent work, replaced six old door knobs which included drilling larger holes in the door. Made good time, and the price was very fair. Highly, highly recommend. read more

We had a water damage problem on our ceiling that we were struggling to fix ourselves. I called many other businesses and they all had a wait time of at least a month. Mr. Nice Guy came out the same day and ended up being able to fix it within an hour or so. We were able to paint the room a day or two later and be done with it by the weekend. Price was beyond reasonable especially for the quick response. We will definitely be a repeat customer! read more

Charged $450 for snaking two drains. About an hour of work. Absolutely absurd.

Jahmar did a great job on a few random projects around the house, including a tricky modular staircase installation. Fair pricing, professional, and friendly. Highly recommended! read more

They were a no show. No phone call, text or email I did call and leave a voicemail but no return call from that either.

Writing a second review. This time had a closet shelf collapse and a garbage disposal stop working. Once again, Jahmar was fast to respond, provided a very reasonable estimate, and did the work the next day. When you find somebody like Jahmar, you stick with them. I can't recommend him enough. You will be pleased no matter what the job! read more

Stay away from this company! Tried to contact the owner (left 5 voice messages) to follow up with the issues, the owner never get back to me. Very bad customer service read more

Look no further than Jay. I found him through yelp, and was glad I did. He quickly responded to my phone call, and set up an appointment to get a quote at our house for a few projects. His quote was fair, the work was excellent. He repaired two different issues in our ceiling and painted our hallway! We will use Jay for projects in the future. read more

I highly recommend Mr. Nice Guy Home Services. jahmar is fantastic!!!

I chose Mr. Nice Guy due to his high ratings on YELP. He certainly deserves his 5 stars. He gave me a very reasonable quote, and finished the job over a few days time. Mine was a very difficult job on an old tub in an old home, plus fixing leaky faucets, replacing the parts under an old sink, and drywall plugs from a previous repair. I had a lot to get done, and he did a fantastic job! Also, it took lots of trips to the hardware store to find the pieces for my old faucets and he did so without losing his great attitude. I could never have done what he did, thank goodness he has the knowledge and tools! Plus, he left the areas he worked on clean! He is highly recommended! read more

He really was such a nice guy! Came over quickly, was sooo friendly, and fixed the problem without a problem. Would totally call him again. Lovely experience. read more

Very responsive. Fast and efficient service. Came to my home with a mask on. Will use their services for future projects!

Jahmar (Jay) responded quickly to all of my questions, gave me a reasonable price and set up a time that I requested. I needed him to apply glare film on 7 large windows, hang around 8-10 pictures and three curtain valances. He arrived with all of the equipment he would need, told me what else I would need, and started to work. He did exactly what I asked, he worked by himself for several hours, completed everything to my satisfaction, and was very pleasant to have around. I would use him again and I would recommend him to others. read more

We had a wonderful experience working with Jay - he was super quick to respond and repaired a broken door frame (saving us the cost of replacing the whole thing) and swapped out a kitchen faucet. He was reasonably priced, friendly, and professional. We look forward to working with him again! read more

Jamar was great. I had Plumbing company come out for a leaky disposal 6 months ago, fixed a leak and suggested I eventually get a new disposal and gave me a quote for installation. Within a couple of months it started leaking again. I purchased a disposal, but wanted someone to install it. I found Jamar's info on next door. I gave him a call and he called back within the hour. He was very flexible on scheduling an appointment. He let me know when he was on his way, showed up on time, and respectful when he was at my house. He offered to come back if there were any issues - but that hasn't been necessary. I will definitely call him back. read more

Mr. Nice Guy goes right to the top of my call list with full recommendation to others. Prompt responses and great communication for scheduling. Excellent repair work on our drywall and at an outstanding price. Polite and professional service. Seriously, call this guy, you won't be disappointed. read more

Came quick, great price, and friendly! In and out in less than 10 minutes to unclog toilet!! Highly recommend!

Jahmar was prompt, he was able to finish installing our sliding shower door in a few hours, and his pricing was very reasonable. He was friendly and easy to work with. Definitely will contact him again for future work. read more

Sat waiting for over an hour after he was supposed to arrive. Finally informed me he wasn't going to make it with no further info or attempt to reschedule. The reviews seem good but his understanding of communication is pretty immature. Stuff happens but "sorry not gonna make it" is not sufficient. read more

SCAM ARTIST!!!! I had this gentlemen; Jahmar Simpson, who is the owner of this "construction" company come look at a job for me. He was extremely friendly and gave me a great price. I asked him if his business had the proper certifications, licensing and insurances. He ensured me he did. I went ahead and gave him 50% down to start fixing multiple issues in at my rental property. I went on DPOR website to look up his company and Mr. Simpson's licenses. Low and be hold he had none. I called him and he promised me did and there must be a mistake on DPOR's website. He said he will bring over a copy to prove he was not lying. A few days past and I never heard back from Mr. Simpson so I decide to call him. Unfortunately, is phone was disconnected and as I can see on Yelp he change his number. I am going to submit Mr. Simpson to DPOR so he can no longer con people into thinking he is a legitimate business and stealing people's money. It is unfortunate sites like Yelp do not require proper licensees to adverse in order to protect home owners. read more
