I found this little spot last Autumn, one of the hardest times to start a small restaurant in a small town that relies quite a bit on tourist traffic. Then comes covid and the accompanying restrictions on locals and tourists. That they have survived all this is a great blessing. I love supporting Mama Wing. The food is FRESH and TASTY. If there's something you'd like but you don't see it on the menu, if they have the ingredients they'll probably make it for you. Two hard-ass working and extremely kind women who love dogs and appreciate the hell out of their customers. This was one of my favorite restaurants on anacortes. We came here twice and both times, the food was good. I highly recommend the pork chop with noodles. The noodles were pretty memorable with some celery and minced pork. It was a little spicy. I thought the food was pretty legit. It kind of reminded me of taiwanese cuisine a little bit. Pretty awesome to find such good asian food when you are far away from a large city. The staff was pretty nice too. read more

I was so delighted to visit this unassuming, hole in the wall business in Anacortes. Mama's smile was evident even with her mask on. We took her recommendation and ordered the chicken lollipops...but as we were headed to our hotel, they spilled onto the floorboards and I literally cried. They looked and smelled incredible and I was so HANGRY! Luckily, my husband is my hero and drove us back for another order. Went to mama wing kitchen yesterday and found while the location is cute (reminds me of an old noodle house I like) the food here was kinda disappointing. I got the mama wing which is 4 pcs lollipop chicken, fried rice, crazy noodles, and an order of egg rolls. The sauces are ok but clearly mixed in house and the ingredients are recognizable and tastes good overall. The food itself I can only talk about the chicken lollipops and the egg rolls because I didn't get the other items when I picked up my order. So that sucked I wanted to have a rounded out meal but got chicken and egg rolls instead. Egg rolls simple nothing to go on about. The chicken lollipops were if anything a waste of chicken. The batter used wasn't good and the chicken was pink in a few places that didn't look right, this with the dough not fully cooked I just stopped eating it all together. I really wanted the crazy noodles and their fried rice but didn't get it soooo yeah make sure you leave with what you pay for. It turns out that they are on their third week, but you can't tell. And with me being vegetarian going to a chicken place is a challenge, but they were willing to make vegetable noodle or vegetable fried rice, neither on the menu. And they have spring rolls. Let's start with the spring rolls. Crispy with a good resistance, and they keep their shape. The vegetable mix has a great flavor. Then the vegetable noodles. Full of flavor, veggies were crisp, and the portion size was good. With some chili oil it ended up making my tastebuds very happy. My eating partner choose two of the favorites. Pot stickers and Lemon Sesame Shrimp. They were also very good. I will definitively be back, and the owners say that they are in it for the long haul. I hope they're right! read more

We came here for the first time tonight, after a two hour hike in the forest lands. This is by far, THE best Asian food I've had in Anacortes (hands down) but also, perhaps, the entirety of Skagit County. Wow. We ordered the Chicken pops, lemon chicken and Lo Mein (per the woman we ordered from, these are popular menu items). First off, everything was HOT and fresh, and ready in 10 min. We waited in our car, and they brought it out to us. We couldn't wait to eat the hot chicken pops, so we had a few on the way home. Super flavorful, lightly crunchy and delish. When we got home we TORE into the Lo Mein, and Lemon Shrimp with abandon. The Lo Mein, wasn't as spicy as I had hoped for, but she threw in some chili oil, so I made it spicier. If I had taken time to actually sit and eat, I would have found a spicy sauce from my collection to put on top. Filled with shrimp, meat and chicken, fresh veggies and perfect noodles, it's the best noodle dish I've had in a long while. The lemon shrimp, might be the star. LARGE shrimp, lightly battered and swimming in lemon sauce goodness. We called them immediately and said: Thank you! We will definitely be back to try other things. We love this place from which to pick up take out and then eat in line for the ferry. Every time the food is hot and fresh, the service is friendly and courteous, and the portions keep us fed into the next day with yummy leftovers.
