I never would have expected such banging dumplings to come out of a food truck in Anacortes, but here we are. It was a cold, blustery day and we were the only group in sight. A one-woman operation took our orders and got right to work rolling and cutting the dough for our noodles. While a bit pricey and time-consuming, the end result floored me. There we were, huddled together on a bench we had dragged behind the food truck, and I was eating the best dumplings I'd ever had. Perfect dough, juicy pork, with a little cup of vinegar for dipping. I absolutely wolfed down a dozen and still gave my buddy some puppy-dog eyes for a couple of his as well. Pan fried and steamed, either way you won't go wrong. The noodles were excellent as well. If I lived close to this truck I'd probably be eating here minimum twice a month, maybe weekly. Do yourself a favor and try them. read more

Really can't remember how I found this place, but I made it a point to drive down and try just about everything on their menu. We loved all of it. The only thing we didn't completely devour was the soup noodles because we were so full by the time we got around to it. Harbin Dumplings is located in a little food truck/cart park next to the water where there's sometimes also a taco truck, bbq truck and Turkish coffee, so there's a little bit of something for everybody. Don't skip the fried noodles or the pan fried buns (I think they're called). The noodles are perfectly chewy and the bits of cabbage mixed in really help balance out the flavor. The flat pan fried buns are SO JUICY. Make sure to also get the spicy sauce on the side. I should note that the food is greasy, so if you're not into that, I might reconsider. But I was so happy with my grease soaked napkins by the end of it and had plenty of leftovers to take home. read more

Seriously delicious, authentic Chinese dumplings. 好吃,好吃!! Harbin was so good that we stopped by Harbin food truck two days in a row for lunch on our latest Anacortes vacation! The pan fried pork buns, dumplings and potstickers are incredibly juicy and flavorful. EVERYTHING on the menu is housemade from scratch - seriously better than restaurant quality (looking at Dough Zone here)! Loved the Chinese soup noodles as well, which are entirely made fresh from scratch - this is super hard to find! Portions are huge, prices are very reasonable - owner and his wife are hardworking, very friendly and helpful. Owner is fluent in Chinese and can provide any recommendations. Harbin Dumplings food truck is located in the same food truck pod as Zaza Turkish Coffee, which is also delicious. Pretty legit Chinese food here. We were amazed that such yummy Chinese food could come out of such a tiny little food truck. Everything we ordered was delicious. The meat pies are juicy and delicious. The dumplings are pretty juicy as well. We got the pork and noodles dish and it was pretty memorable. The setting is really nice where it faces a harbor like area. The times we went, there was plenty of seating. The only small surprise was that they raised their prices quite a bit but I guess that's due inflation and the impacts of the pandemic. Great Chinese dumplings made by a nice Chinese lady. We had each of the three types of dumplings she offers. They were all good. We visited Harbin, PRC earlier this year, and these dumplings are definitely in the same league as those we ate there in northern China. There's a little roped off area inside the shipyard fence where her food truck is parked. The signs are a bit confusing, but you can pull your car in next to the food truck while she prepares your order. There is no place to sit and eat. Went to Anacortes today to run some errands, and while I was there I decided to look for something new. Found this place on yelp and knew I had to try it. The meat pies and dumplings are so good and juicy. They were really simple and fresh and the spicy dipping sauce was perfect. The first thing I noted, for anyone who likes to cook at home, was that the dough on the cooked dumplings smelled fresh. You can tell this is all from scratch. Little pillows of heavenly goodness that is how I would describe the potstickers and meat pies. As an added bonus, the food is very kid friendly! My kiddo gave the food a thumbs up and it would have been two if his hands weren't busy quickly gobbling up his food. Authentic Chinese food with lots of meat in the pot stickers and the meat pie. This place is legit!! Hands down the most authentic chinese food I've had, even in comparison to places in the Bay Area and LA (might I dare say their cooking is on par with my parent's cooking). I was craving pork buns today and decided to make a trip out to this stand after searching on Yelp! It's located across the road from Safeway and in a small plaza with other food trucks. But WOW! I ordered the pork buns and the noodle soup and both were AMAZING! I would highly recommend getting some spice in the soup to add more flavor and kick, but the meatballs and broth were delicious regardless!
