This Chinese restaurant was directly in front of our hotel and it was some of the best service and foods I've had. Fantastic, expansive dining room- this dine in restaurant has extravagant decor and a lovely wall of bourbon and whiskey to entice you! The menu has family style entrees to share- and yes, you can make up to 2 substitutions. With my pesky food allergy, I ordered the shrimp with mixed vegetables plate and the boys went with the family style for 2. I also enjoyed a cocktail from the bar- a raspberry lemon drop martini, very delish. I had crab and cheese wontons for an appetizer- shared with my son. Lumpia as another appetizer shared across the table was also perfection in every bite. John and Eddie had egg rolls, bbq pork as appetizers for their family style. As well as won ton soup that was loaded with veggies! I had a bit of the soup too- delicious broth! I should note- food was coming out so fast- we had ordered the two appetizers first and they were out before we ordered our meals! The courses started coming and coming! Next up for the men- a huge dish of fried rice and sweet and sour pork & chicken and cashews. I benefited with some fried rice too. Needless to say, it was a ton of food and we had leftovers- which came in handy the following day when we crashed early! We even ordered won ton again to go on another night that we turned in early! Nah. Just nah. Maybe it's the city boy in me but what you get for the price just doesn't work. Tiny portions, nothing comes with the typical white rice and it's not mentioned anywhere nor was it mentioned on the phone. For $25 including a $2 delivery fee to the hotel they share a parking lot with(150' walk, tops) I expect a lot better than this. The food itself is tasty and delivery was quick. But still completely lacking value imo. Won't be spending my money there again, sorry. read more

So I went there on Friday night and I was highly disappointed in some of the Customer Service that is at the establishment. There's a gentleman named Garrett I think that's his name he's a bartender I think and very disrespectful and very rude not customer friendly at all. Incredible lunch special! The meal was not only delicious but also offered fantastic value for money. Included a good portion of my choice of main dish, served with fried rice, soup and crab ragoon. We are on a happy hour mission in Oak Harbor. So every Friday we try a couple of locations looking for our haunts. To us a good happy hour location has a good selection of appetizers and drinks. Ideally something that isn't standard pub fare. We ordered lumpia, edamame, pot stickers and lettuce wraps for our group. The wraps and pot stickers were excellent, the edamame salt less and lumpia, while good, wasn't great. They have happy hour specials and we all found drinks we liked. The restaurant was not too busy and parking by the entrance was possible when we arrived. Getting a table for three was straight forward, and the hostess showed us directly to a table. The server was a little brusque in their interactions. I ordered the Broccoli Chicken. It was a portion I was able to eat on my own and the flavors melded, a solid four stars. Had the place mostly to ourselves on a Friday night at 7:30 during the off-season, I guess. Yet the food was fresh, authentic and well prepared. We were served warm beers to begin with, but the staff was very apologetic and immediately replaced them with some ice cold beverages. Lounge atmosphere was very well designed and cozy. We ordered lumpia (good!), Sweet and sour chicken with added rice (one-note wonder and looked like little nuggets covered in sauce), pork chow mein (had so many things in it but the pork was very light throughout), and the mango sorbet (delicious!). Overall the food was okay. Definitely a run-of-the-mill take-out quality. Presentation of foods is desiring. But the ambiance and wait staff are UP THERE. We came in Cause we were driving by from Langley and noticed the sign. We had the lettuce wraps With chicken and Brussel sprouts to start and then Bok Choy and Roast Pork egg foo young. My boyfriend ordered the double Mongolian dinner (chicken and beef) and we both had brown rice. Service was excellent. Food was very tasty and we both enjoyed our dinner immensely.
