Great entrees but slow service. The restaurant wasn't very busy while we were there on a Friday at 6p. There was one server and one busser. It took 15 minutes to get our egg drop soup from the time we placed our order. After the soup our entrees came out another 15 minutes later and the server forgot our rice. She didn't check on us nor could we get her attention. We finally got the attention of the busser and he brought us rice. We didn't like the rice because it was too dry. However, the beef broccoli, and the chef special tofu were both phenomenal. I am hoping that the next time we dine in here the service will be a little faster. read more

Tonight we came again for my grandfather's birthday... they live locally hence why we were back. So with that I added an extra star.. alot for our server her name started with a D, my parents made the reservations and became ill so couldn't come and they forgot to say we had 2 ppl in wheelchairs so when we arrived the table wouldn't fit us but after talking to our server who talked to her manager we made it work inside and it worked great. The food and tea and wine were great I'd ask they add like 3 or 4 options for kids meals for 7.95 or 8.95 as it would help families who don't want to do family style..the bill took a bit to get and cash out but it was fine, the grandparents really like this place and that's our priority I appreciate our hard work of our server with our large party read more

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Washington. It's in Stanwood. It's always consistently good. From the soup to the orange chicken to the owners special called happy family which is full of protein. The owners and their family are so nice. This was a very cute place if you sit in the court yard. The people were nice and the atmosphere was nice but the food was just okay. My fried rice was not fried all the way it still had white rice in it and it tasted pain to me. My chow main was good tho and I enjoyed eating that. My husband got the spicy chicken and they asked how hot he would like it. He told them 4 star but it wasn't. It was maybe a 2 star for spice. It wasn't hot at all and he was disappointed. read more

At one of our favorite restaurants, Dragon Palace, in Stanwood, that we only get to like twice a year. The best, freshest, most authentic Chinese food!!! And I can actually eat much of their food because no soy!!!!!!!!!! And they have out of this world service!!!!! Plus, bonus, the entire place feels like you're outside on a patio but you're inside a giant gorgeous building with restaurants and a old school movie theater. I have eaten here since they opened forever and a day ago...I used to live on Camano Island. It was so authentic and homemade...if you used to go at lunch there were several gals stringing fresh pea pods and chopping vegetables by the dang bushel. No number 10 cans at play on their menu. Quality was ever present. Service was always gracious and welcoming. Now living in Arlington. When Covid happened we cut out dining out and really never picked the bad habit up again. Tonight I swung in as Mr. is in Montana and I am bacheloretting it. What a severe disappointment. Service was abysmal, food recipes are different. Had to get up and get my own to go containers. Waited forever for the food to come out and then I received a cold bowl of rice. Even a glass of wine took ten minutes. I sat with my credit card at the ready and nobody cared. I walked to the front counter and the kid said " Have a good night!" I said I need to pay still. He asked me what table I was at..."The one YOU sat me at...I don't know the table numbers." The waitress who took my order, brought me my food then forgot about me stepped in. She proceeded to ask me "What did you guys order?" You guys? I was a table of one...1! No apologies, no thank you, so no tip. What the heck is going on! Why can't I get decent food and decent service for $50 for one person? Another place that I shall not return to again. Very ho hum that would rival Panda Express. Service was fair. The taste of the food was fair but cold. As fast as it came out I'm sure it was fresh from a warming dish if it came out of a microwave it would have been warmer. The Moo shu pork was served with thick flour tortillas wtf is that about. Usually it it served with a very thin flour pancake. Edit down to one star as 3 of the 4 people got food poisoning from here stay away if you don't want to spend a day in the bathroom. This local place has been around a long time. It's located in the same building as the movie theater and has a nice seating area outside the main dining room. The service is always good, friendly, and efficient. The food is good. Some dishes are average while others are fantastic. The Mongolian Beef is one of the fantastic ones. The right balance of meat, onions, and sauce. You can get it at different spice levels. If you're adventurous try at 3 or above. You can get just the entree or the dinner combo. That includes soup, choice of rice, prawns, egg roll, and paper wrapped chicken. It's plenty of food and don't be surprised if you find yourself asking for a to-go box. The price for the dinner combo is about $20 on average. It's enough food for two meals anyway. The menu is large so there's something for everyone at the Dragon Palace. read more

This is the place of my childhood. I grew up in stanwood and remember waiting outside in high school on rare late lunch days to get Mongolian beef to go. After living on the east coast for 12 years with nothing but junk take out Chinese, we always make a stop here when we come to town. The family meal for three can feed my family of three for days. We always get the cashew chicken, sweet and sour chicken and the Mongolian beef. It's all amazing. Reading reviews about it being just okay makes my soul sad. The staff is always great, but a little slow, so if you come in starving, you will most likely get angry before getting full. The prices of the family meals are worth it and a great deal, but piece by piece it can seem expensive. read more

My plate was brought before me and I was astonished at the VERY small amount of beef on my plate. This was a complete rip off, I ate my food, (nothing that great) I spent the rest of my dinner asking others for some of their stacked plates. Food has really changed since covid. Ordered BBQ Pork fried rice, sweet n sour chicken and chicken chow mien pan fried noodles. Very bland, not a whole lot of flavor. I am very rarely appalled by service but this place takes the cake. It also takes a lot of bad events during one visit to make me write a one star review but they earned it. We did go Christmas Eve, it was busy but not completely full. We were sat right away but it took 20 for the server to come get our order and it took another fifteen minutes (after asking) to bring water and tea. We asked about appetizers 40 after waiting which were finally brought over with an attitude problem from the server. After over an hour we asked about our dinner and many tables had eaten, paid and left within that time. The server said she'd ask but if we didn't like the wait we could leave, what a classy lady. She didn't return and after ten minutes we got up to leave. When we finally started walking out another server only started talking about moving the tables around to seat other groups and said nothing to us, no apology, nothing. I emailed the business to tell them and they never responded. Do not go here, what awful people. Went with a small group here for dinner and unfortunately none of us were very impressed. We all agreed, it was just OK. The chef's special shrimp was definitely the star of the meal. We all absolutely loved it (sweet and tangy). We didn't really taste much orange in the orange chicken and the happy family was pretty bland. The mushu we were bummed about because it came with regular tortillas which is not how it is traditionally served. The wonton soup was flavorful and full of yummy veggies. And lastly the fried rice was dry, cold, and almost flavorless. The ambiance is the best part about this place, very cool! Unfortunately I don't think the ambiance was enough for us to return. There is no reason to search anywhere else for good Chinese food in the area. This is the best. The sizzling rice is great. The mu shu chicken is great. The barbecued pork is great. So are all the hot pot dishes. In fact, we've never had a dish here that we didn't thoroughly enjoy! Oh yeah, the happy family is great. The only problem I have with deciding to to eat here is that Amigo's is in the same building, and I also love their food. While Stanwood is a little off of I-5, we often stop by when traveling to Seattle. The wait staff has always been been in the game. We prefer the open air seating in the "mall" area. read more
