My partner wanted to get delivery here, I think for the variety of options. To be honest, I'm all about the noodles, which were very nice, but I think he was more about the loaded fries, which were also quite tasty. We shared a few items and everything tasted good, was delivered just fine. Prices and portions were fine as well. Solid food choice and plenty of options.

I was a bit disappointed. I went for the Big Bunso burger bc it said longaniza (Filipino sausage) patty but I could hardly taste a difference from a fast food patty. It was $14 but if it was half the price I think it'd be a great deal. I would describe as a bit better than a Burger King whopper - the patty was a bit more flavorful but it wasn't fat enough & covered w/ a bunch of subpar standard burger fillings like lettuce/tomato that you couldn't taste the patty enough. And the bun I would say is the fanciest fast food bun - covered w/ poppy seeds but still small and not best quality. I still may come back to try the Sticky Chicky as someone that loves orange chicken it seems like the Filipino version of that.

Filipino go crazy! Such a friendly food cart - the service is so friendly with a great vibe and I could feel they have a lot of fun working the cart. This is all about Filipino influenced fast foods but they are not shy to lean on other cuisines as well so mix in a bit of American - Burger, mix in some French Canadian - poutine. Whatever you like - it will be tasty. Give it a try. I have the lumpia a try basically fried egg rolls with pork and beef. Less veggies more meat and even more taste! I should have gone for the large size! And then a special burger a nice homemade patty w/ cheese, shredded lettuce, grilled pineapple, and a dollop of in-house bacon-flavored Lady's Choice sandwich spread in between a toasted Franz bun so yummy! A cart I have to try more things soon!

Couple years ago ate at a place in Nanaimo that had like 8 different version of poutine, including shawarma and pulled pork. So I had to try the adobo poutine. Most importantly--as I feel with any dish involving gravy, sauce, etc.--there was more than enough sauce to spread around. the adobo sauce tasty but maybe a pinch too vinegary for me, cumulatively. rally good cheese and fries. Had some lumpia, but as the only lumpia I'd ever had before was homemade, this lacks just a little. very friendly service.

Another cool food cart pod that has some unique twists on some staple items. We tried the Adobo Poutine to share. The fries were large in size and pulled-pork adobo gravy was flavorful.  I just needed more of that sauce on the fries.

I initially came by here for Burger Week. So I didn't have much to say. That burger was really good, too bad it's not part of the regular menu? It WAS really good by the way.... but I brought my wife here the next day. I ordered the Sticky Chicky. I can imagine someone with a western palate might find it a bit strange. But I loved every bit of it. When I make adobo at home, mine is more vinegary (and I have my lumpia basically swimming in vinegar dip at home too). That Sticky Chicky was vinegar + salt + sticky and slightly sweet. It's everything my tastebuds crave. I loved it. I can hardly wait to come try the rest of their menu. The crew inside were very friendly. The food didn't take long to come out. The little cart pod they're a part of has lots of seating and it's covered. Some photos online don't show the roof so I guess that's pretty new. But it was welcome on the hot day I was there. And it'll be more welcome when it starts to rain.

Had the sticky chicken dish. Portion is small and the chicken tastes like tangy orange chicken.. nothing special and quite disappointed.

Great concept, gracious hospitality but the food and flow still need seasoning…read more We were really excited to try Hapa Barkada, Filipino and Hawaiian fusion is a rare find anywhere, let alone in PDX. Bonus: they're open late (until 1 AM per Yelp). Since Google showed incorrect hours, we called ahead before making the drive across town from Happy Valley. Perks: -Free street parking after 7 PM and on holidays -Open late (a big plus in Portland) -Casual, trendy vibe Ordering was frustrating. The cell signal was terrible due to its half basement floor. The WiFi passcode wasn't posted, we had to leave our table to ask a staff for it, and even then, it didn't work for either of our phones. The intent of a digital-only ordering system clashed hard with the reality. I suggested they keep a few printed menus on hand as backup. Kiaha, the owner, was incredibly attentive and responsive. When she heard about the ordering issue, she came to our table, apologized sincerely, and took our order herself. She even comped a few items, which we truly appreciated. Food: Not quite there yet -The surprise winner was the Volcano Broccoli, flavorful with great texture. Would order again. -Steak Bites were overcooked. We weren't asked how we wanted them cooked. The sauce added a little flavor but didn't save the dish. -Fried Tofu Plate came with mac and cheese, green salad, and white rice. All three were underseasoned and forgettable. The tofu itself was oddly crunchy in a stale kind of way, and the vinegar dipping sauce didn't add much. -Mac and cheese lumpia sounded creative, but it just didn't land, bland and kind of "meh." -The 15-hour pulled pork bao had generous filling, but the pork lacked richness, flavor, and texture issues. The bao was served cold, which didn't help. -Mocktails (we tried both available ones: pineapple, lime, and something else) were okay but not memorable. Super cozy 4x6 feet single stall neutral restroom. The scent diffuser was cranked up way too high for such a tiny room, almost overwhelming. We came specifically for the pork belly, only to learn it's a weekend only item, a bummer, but not a dealbreaker. We're rooting for Hapa Barkada and willing to give it another go, especially to check out the pork belly when it's available. P.Y. Provides toilet seat covers.

The bar and resturant are separate, which isnt a big deal since the place is so small. We went early on a saturday and there were only a few other people there. As we were enjoying our dinner more people started to fill the seats quickly. The online ordering system for the resturant wasent working properly so some items I had seen people post on yelp didn't appear on the online menu to order. The bartender suggested we actually go to the kitchen window and ask, and were glad we did. I wanted to try the poke bombs which weren't showing up on the menu, but sure enough they made them for us and they were good. We started off with that, and shared mochiko chicken, roasted broccoli, tofu with chimichurri and the fries. All were really delicious.

The the combination of smoky, tender barbecue with the creamy Thai curry was so good. The burnt ends brought that deep, savory, slightly charred flavor, while the curry gave it a completely different dimension. The flavors worked well. I just wished the burnt ends were more fatty. We also tried a pork belly dish, which was another highlight. The pork was rich and flavorful, and I loved the crispy fried egg, green beans, cucumber, and fish sauce with it. Drinks: I cannot handle day drinking anymore, but I couldn't resist... - Acid test: bourbon based - Separation anxiety: rum based, tiki; I was hesitant about the lychee (not a fan), but it was very well balanced. This was my preferred cocktail Food: family style - Sweet and sour chicken: even the small was a big portion. Flavor was great on this, and it had a crisp, crunchy batter - Wok fried yu choy: great wok char - Smoked pork krapao: crispy pork belly pieces, a fried poached egg (literally deep fried). Break up the yolk to dip with the pork. The cucumbers and green beans are a nice clean accompaniment; spicy fish sauce was great - White curry with brisket burnt ends: I've never had a white curry, but the white curry and cauliflower was a great match for the super rich brisket pieces. I love the interesting combination! Note: pretty much everything has some spice to it, so for kids, the jasmine rice and yu choy are the main items, though my older daughter did ok with the fried chicken and brisket! Music was great, and all of the food flavors were bold. Though flavor combinations were unique, everything was cohesive. They were packed on a Wednesday for lunch, so I'm glad we got here before noon to snag a table. I wish the Bay Area had more interesting fusion done right like this (I feel like fusion is a bad word in the food world...)

The Heydey milk bun is so most unbelievably soft brioche-esqe piece of bread and really made the breakfast sandwich. We got it with pork belly and it was beautifully cooked. It was soft and fatty but still held its structure. We did also get a longanisa silog. The longanisa was a little more smoked and cooked than I liked, but the pork sandwich more than made up for the silog. The silog was still good, just may try another protein next time.

He enjoyed it but not sure if he would get again. I got the mango peach hot sauce which had a kick to it with tons of flavor. 10/10 I would love to buy a bottle and use on my eggs in the morning. I ordered the matcha margarita which to be honest I didn't have high hopes as matcha to me tastes only just okay. However, I was impressed with this drink as it tasted like a less sweet margarita which i enjoyed immensely. Other notes, you pay up front and get a number. Some seating in and outside. Also street parking which could be challenging depending on the time of day you are here.
