DISGUSTING, DISGUSTING, DISGUSTING! This was my initial order from "Mainport" through Grubhub. I got fried chicken with mac and cheese, the mac and cheese smell was overwhelming...it turned out that, it was extremely rotten. I asked to omit the salad, in capital letters on Grubhub because, It was my way of making sure that my chicken over rice didn't have any cucumbers...I'm very allergic to cucumbers. My food came with a whole lot of salad! I called the restaurant to let them know the issue at hand. The guy on the phone proceeded to tell me that I needed to have this conversation with Grubhub. He is not responsible for reading the added instructions or the fine prints. I asked him, "Don't you read the incoming orders to prepare the food?" He said yes but, it is still Grubhub's issue, not theirs for failing to read the instructions...I was in total shock, he actually thought that comment made sense in his head! He never once apologized nor offered a way of solving the issue, he kept blaming Grubhub to the very end. I can't believe the level of ignorance, and this place is still in business! The pieces were so dry, the meat stringy, I could tell this chicken had been fried long before it was put in a box. Really a shame, we had such high hopes for this place. Terrible business. I ordered from this establishment a few times, both in-person and delivery. They consistently take way too much time to have your food ready. And they keep getting my orders wrong. It wouldn't be a huge deal if they didn't keep giving me their old, overly salty fried chicken instead of the food I actually paid for. The food itself ranges from decent to mediocre. I just ate here last night after the New England Band Competition held in Bridgeport with High Schools from all over New England so anyway I was heading to the Competition on Route 1 and we noticed this place with the neon lights in the big windows saying they have Fish Chicken etc. So we decided after the Competition to head back down Route 1 and try this place out. My wife ordered the fried fish ,I had a 5pc combo with mash potato's and a drink. The chicken was excellent . I like good fried food and years ago gave up on KFC because the chicken is so greasy and makes tou feel sick. Here the chicken was tasty not greasy and had greay flavor to it. I would highly suggest to anyone when travelling through Bridgeport and wants some good fried food.Go here they are on route one and the menu has all kinds of things you can order besides fish and chicken. They have regular seating and a flat screen on the wall if you want to watch tv while you eat. I will come back again when I travel that way again next year. If i could rate them with 10 stars I would. So don't go to KFC try this place out for really good fried chichen and fish. read more

Took the family here for the first time today. Ordered 12 piece chicken dinner. Chicken was overdone bordering on burnt and was salty, which was shocking because we had to wait 10 minutes for it to be made fresh. We ordered mashed potatoes,onion rings, macaroni salad and macaroni & cheese for sides. All the sides tasted store bought or frozen (the onion rings). Menu is huge and also includes various seafood,pizza, burgers & gyros. The food here was so bad that I wound up taking my family to Popeye's down the street for a proper dinner. We have only lived in Bridgeport a couple of years, so we are still trying out the local restaurants. This one is a definite no go. read more

I went here today because it's been a while since we had Fish and Chips. Before it changed owners it used to be good. Now waiting inside and seeing the enormous menu items listed on the walls, I can see why it's not as good anymore. You just can't keep that much food very fresh for that long. I would guess most everything they have is pulled out of the freezer when ordered. The fish we had did not tasted very fresh. The batter was OK but, the fish seemed to be very dry. Most of the food is probably freezer burned. I think they need Chef Ramsey to come here and fix their menu, way too large. Plus, in the old Main Port it was wide open so that you saw everything that was being cooked and haw it was done. Now, they could have mechanics smoking cigarettes while they're cooking. Not gonna lie, I'm thinking about their little sweet potato pies right now. I absolutely plan to get a few tomorrow. This spot has been around a long time and we appreciate them around here. Unfortunately, I do not like the ribs, though. Huge but they tasted funny, meat-wise. The sauce was just ok. I do like the gyro and the gyro with rice, though and their fries are good, especially with a little salt and pepper. Now I'm thinking about wings.
