Five Stars for the Hot Wings!!! They are my favorite item on the menu! I like them because while most places douse their wings with sauce, these are dry-rubbed. They have the right amount of spice/flavor with the perfect dash of heat (not burn your mouth hot) and they are always cooked fresh, so expect a little wait when they are busy. Is this place perfect? No, but the food us pretty good. I've had the corn nuggets which were sweet and amazingly delicious! The beef patty was average, but good. The "mixed chicken" aka the chicken that sits in the window is not recommended, but maybe 1 day I'll give it a second chance. The shrimp and fried fish were fried perfectly to a nice crisp golden brown, but could have used a dash or two of salt for flavor. I do wish they offered some sort of small/side garden salad to satisfy my vegetable cravings. As far as service, I've only seen 2 people behind the counter; a woman during the day and a guy at night. I avoid the daytime when she is there. It's not necessarily bad service, she just doesn't seem as welcoming, friendly, or personable as the guy in the evenings. If my first visit had been during her shift, I probably wouldn't have returned. His service is impeccable, even when its super busy. His demeanor, how he takes your order, and the fact that he always says thank you makes you want to return. Oh, I almost forgot the desserts... Five Stars all the way!!! The carrot cake was so moist! The banana pudding was a delight! The oreo mousse cake was melt in your mouth creamy! All of the desserts I've had have been delicious and not overly sweet! What can I say about this place? They have a convenient drive-thru. The woman working the drive-thru window was very courteous. Now on to the food... I ordered clam strips scallops and some corn nugget side dish. The corn nuggets were sweet. Nicely fried. I only had a couple. The clam strips, also pretty good. I've been known to go to White Castle for clam strips, so the bar is really set too high & it's nice to have a quick style establishment closer to home. The tartar sauce, also pretty good. Not sure if it's homemade, but the taste was good. But the scallops?! Completely awful. By looking at them, you would think that they were sea scallops. Upon biting into them, I realized that they were bay scallops with a lot of batter. Also, they were overcooked and rubbery and definitely not fresh. The breading held onto moisture which either came from steam or the scallop being frozen before frying. Either way, I would never order scallops from this restaurant again. As I bit into them, water actually dripped out. The tartar sauce couldn't really save them. If you ever want a quick takeout style seafood lunch, the clam strips were Ok. They also serve a variety of Halal dishes. I may go again to try something outside of the seafood realm. But for a few extra dollars I'd rather go to my favorite location which is five minutes away & never disappoints! read more

I ordered the one-piece fish and chips for $5 and change. She asked me what kind of fish I would like and gave me the options of whiting, cod, and tilapia. I decided to try whiting for the first time. The food took quite a few minutes, but it came out fresh and hot. The cashier was super nice and the person who cooked the fish included an extra one due to the one being small. The fries were super crunchy. The fish looked appetizing and was okay. It was a little dry for my taste, but I blame the fish not the restaurant. I enjoyed it nonetheless. Tartar sauce was chilled and tasted good, and ketchup was included in the bag. I'm giving this a 4 star because of the price, cleanliness, hours, and flavor of the food as well as nice staff. This restaurant is your typical fish fry/ chicken fry restaurant. The food is good and if I could give it 4.5 I would. At 1 am this is the best food you can get hands down. I had the lamb over rice, chicken strips, and animal style fries. All were good and this place is unique in that their rice is much more flavorful than other halal cart type joints. The lamb was good. The white sauce I would suggest to get on the side as it is not mayo based but yogurt so you may not be expecting that flavor. Fries were fresh and flavorful as was the chicken. I liked how they were not greasy upon eating but rather relatively healthy tasting. It was nice to not be dripping in oil at a late night joint for a change. If you're in the area I highly suggest checking this place out. They are really great, particularly late at night and when you only have a few bucks in your pocket. Extremely friendly service and good fish and chips. You get VERY large pieces of fish that aren't overly greasy. Fries are thin cut but nice and crunchy. A lot of fries with your food, and it's a very clean restaurant....but they need a spell check for their menu. Egregious misspellings in their menu on their wall and their pamphlet. There are so many it's almost not funny...almost. We told the girl behind the counter...she seemed to have been told about some of them...but not all of them. If I could give this place negative stars I would. First of all when I placed the order they didn't want my name or card number which is weird. Then when we got home and opened our food they gave us tilapia instead of cod and no French fries even though we ordered the meal. We called them to tell them our order was messed up and the cook just kept arguing with me that he gave us the right fish but he forgot the fries. I asked for a partial refund beachside if this and we were told we would have to drive all the way back and that he would give us fries and show me what cod is?! I told him we couldn't get there because all the streets were blocked off around us. He did not give a fuck. Worst cook and customer service ever. read more

I've gone to this restaurant many times since it opened. Since I work nights, this is one place has hours that really work for me (open to 4am on the weekend) and its one of the few places that I can get something that is really good, different than pizza, etc. I LOVE this place.
