My bf & me were craving cheesesteaks. I used Yelp to look up cheesesteaks near me & Sub Queen popped up. The food pics looked delicious. I was supposed to try this place a long time ago!(but the day my co-workers ordered from here I wasn't in the mood for it) We decided to order to go b/c we wanted to eat @ home. This place does not deliver or use food delivery services.It's a hole in the wall located on a 1- way street on Stratford Ave. We looked up the menu online so we knew what we wanted. The woman working there was very nice & polite! I ordered a cheesesteak w/ cheese only. My bf ordered a cheesesteak w/ Mayo,ketchup,lettuce, & tomatoes & and chili cheese fries(to share w/ me of course).Order was made fresh. Inside was a little small but there were tables & chairs to dine in if you wanted to. Got home food looked so good & it was. This is probably the 1st place I've found in CT. That actually uses cheez wiz like in Philly. I gave it four stars b/c my cheesesteak didn't have enough meat. Portions were big.Btw we were a little bummed b/c we wanted to try their wings & forgot to order it. I'll give it another try! If I get a cheesesteak I know to order extra meat next time. read more

So my father and I have to give it up to the owner of this restaurant! We went there on a whim and was kinda skeptical because it was new to us! BUT let me tell ya something, homegirl PUT IT DOWN! First of all, she does it all by herself, and owns the spot! Don't be fooled by the location, it's a Lil whole in the wall spot but as you may know, sometimes those are THE best food. I got the double cheeseburger and my dad got a cheeseburger sub, prices were reasonable. The food was soo good that my dad cancelled his order with Dinosaurs BBQ of around 100 wings and is going to order through her instead! It's very rare that you see someone who runs the register, cooks the food, cleans the bathroom and keeps 5 star rating! This one is for yelp. All true foodies have to pass by and try this new hot spot. From the wings to the Chili Cheese Steak. A group of 4 ordered 24 wings; 12 Asian 12 dry rub, 1 Chili Cheese Steak cut in 4, The T special which is basically a poutine and 4 soft drinks. Grand total $40. I mean this place is outstanding. A hidden gem in Bridgeport. Most likely the best wing spot In Fairfield county. Order in advance to avoid the wait or if you want to just pick up. This place is always busy but for good reason. When I picked up the sandwiches, there was a woman making them in the back taking her time (but not too long!) to do a nice job. The owner came out and thanked me for the business. Grub Hub order via Yelp: I just cant believe I hadn't had food from here before. The subs are HUGE and the bread (clapping my hands), it was so soft and airy yet able to support everything loaded inside. We ordered the Princess Sub which had chicken cutlet, turkey bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato. I asked for ketchup and mayo to be added. A fish sandwich and an order of onion rings. The chicken was well seasoned and the outer breading had a nice crunch. It was like the perfect sandwich. Nothing fell apart ever bite was flavorful and there was just enough ketchup and mayo. The onion rings were fresh, not greasy and had a nice crunch. I wish they sent ketchup packets...we didnt have any at home. They did pack napkins though. My favorite was the fish. I'd love to shake the hand of whomever seasoned that fish!!!!! Side bar: why didn't the fish sandwich come with lettuce or tomato? I'm not sure if it was suppose to but....it was not really missed. I asked for mayo, ketchup and hot sauce to go on the sandwich. The fish was fried perfectly. The sub had 4 huge pieces on it. The seasoning already had a bit of a kick so with the hot sauce it was spicy but not unbearable or over the top. Overall, I truly enjoyed the food. Yes, I preferred the fish but both were delicious. We cut both sandwiches into fourths and it fed 3 people. Looking at the menu I wouldn't mind dropping in. Taste like they know what they're doing in the kitchen. I went for the steak n cheese omg I have never in my life had such a rude and unwelcoming service I ask for everything on it she says it comes with nothing ..ooook i told her what I would like and she tells me she's not putting mayo on my sandwich ...excuse me lol.. My order originally started out on GrubHub. The wait time kept getting longer and longer and the driver wasn't moving. Finally, the restaurant contacted me directly to let me know they had called the driver but it sounded like she was asleep! I'm assuming the woman on the phone was the restaurant owner. She couldn't have been sweeter and more professional. She offered to have her husband come to deliver the food. I contacted GrubHub and let them know to cancel the order. Very shortly after, a very friendly man arrived at my door in full PPE to deliver my meal. The food is outrageously delicious! Lemon pepper wings super flavorful! Chili dog was AMAZING. Everything is so good. Perfect comfort food. I couldn't have better things to say about Sub Queen. Outstanding service and food. I will for sure be a long standing customer.
