Been meaning to check this little spot out for a while. Was able to check them out for the first time early on a Wednesday morning. Sat down immediately and was greeted warmly with a smile and a cup of hot chocolate for my wife and a coffee for me. Mugs were enormous which I appreciate. I wanted the corn beef hash omelette but they were out of corn beef. Not the reason why I gave three stars by the way. I ended up getting the super sweet omelette which was bacon tomato's and green peppers I believe. My wife got a ham and cheese omelette. We both got wheat toast and home fries. They omelette were ok cooked a little runny for my taste but that may be the way some people like it. Home fries were ok too according to my wife who loves home fries. I'm curious to try the corn beef hash and the pancakes look good too. Thus I will be returning again on my continued quest to find a great breakfast spot for myself and my family. read more

Great sandwiches and service. Never had a sit down meal there, I always call ahead to place my lunch order. They always get it right and it's always ready when I get there. Great value and tasty. Only drawback is that they need to update their on-line menu. It says that they are open Mondays. Sadly :( they are not. read more

We went here on a Sunday morning. We got a table for four people right away. The staff was very friendly, and answered all questions that we had. The coffee was awesome, and the breakfast food was delicious. Portions were large, and the menu is varied. The homemade corned beef hash is to die for. We will definitely make a return trip. Racist and unprofessional. If you're a minority don't eat here. The side of corn beef hash we ordered was just chunky beef that was burnt. I'm a server so I wasn't trying to get free food I just wanted to give them constructive criticism. The woman told me "It's not my fault that you don't like it I'm not taking it off the bill." Am kicking myself that it took me so long to finally try this place. Yelpers did not steer us wrong. got there early on a sunday morning and were treated like an old friend. not less than 4 different people took care of us. its like we had uncles and aunts..nieces and nephews waiting on us....constant refills of the coffee mugs and water glasses. I had a delicious sausage and cheese omelet...wife had one HUGE raspberry pancake and a side of bacon. where have you eaten before where they ask ..."how do you want your bacon cooked?".....no lie. service not super speedy but incredibly friendly. very small place...decorated nicely.... pleasant. prices amazingly low. you will want to return. read more

Thr food is pretty good. My wife and I needed to find a replacement for Counntry Kitchen going out of business. This mom and pop place is much better than chain food. The service is great and the bathroom is the cleanest I've ever seen! They say you can tell alot about the kitchen by the state of the bathroom. All the staff is super friendly! Blueberry Pancakes are huge and loaded with blueberries but slightly dry. Omlettes are good size portions and you can get cinnamon raisin as your toast choice!!! We found Mahaney's on our drive back from the airport. We love going out for breakfast and always on the watch for great breakfast places. Mahaney's doesn't disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our omelettes and home fries as well as the enormous mugs of coffee. The Mahaney family is so welcoming and friendly. Just loved the vibe. If you want breakfast, this is the place. No nonsense, straightforward, home cooked breakfast. Small, and popular, they just keep rolling in and out, and the service is perfect. I was attended to and checked on to make sure everything was perfect. The home fried potatoes and perfect with just the right amount of spice and crisp. The bagel was toasted perfectly and served hot. The tables around me had a lot of happy people eating every kind of breakfast you could want. I went here for the first time a few weeks ago despite living near it most of my life. It was a great experience. The food was awesome and the service was even better. A lot of breakfast places get so busy on weekends that the staff seems annoyed and rushed. I can completely understand that, and I don't expect or require a lot as far as service goes. Just at least attempt to be pleasant, and don't keep me waiting a long time with no explanation. This place went above and beyond. The portions were huge too, I couldn't finish my meal and that's pretty rare for me! I assume the people refilling coffee and checking in on us were the owners, though I'm not completely positive. Service with a smile! Quaint place, cute restaurant and decent food. We had the Poquonock Special which included a ton of food for only $10. Most of it was good. I didn't care for the pancakes at all. They were HUGE but way too dense, flavored like cornbread and dry. Don't get the mushroom burger! The meat and bun were fine but the mushrooms weren't cooked and the cheese was terrible! It should have buttery sauted mushrooms and melty swiss cheese pouring out, not oily, flat cheese melted to the meat. read more

This small diner delivers tasty breakfast dishes that fill you up and are great for the price. The low key atmosphere was a nice change of pace from other hectic diners, and next time I'm in western MA, I'll be sure to make the trek down to Windsor to get some quality breakfast here. read more

The full parking lot was my first indication the recommendation was a good one. This place is another slice of Americana. The food is traditional American and pretty quick to the table. The wait staff is all locals and very friendly. The best part is the large variety of home baked pies : ) There are great!! I would definitely try Mahaney's again. read more

My husband and I ate breakfast here before catching a flight. Small seating area so had to wait a few minutes for a table to be cleared. Staff was a little slow getting to our table to take our order. I ordered a Western sandwich and my husband had the Classic Wrap. Service felt slow, (from the time we were seated until our food came was about 35 minutes) however, when our food arrived it was very hot and tasty! My husband likes his food HOT and he wasn't disappointed. My sandwich was on a very fresh roll and really good! Feels very much like a mom & pop place, which we like. I wouldn't have minded the pace if we didn't have a plane to catch. Other breakfasts that were brought out looked really good and the prices were reasonable. Would like to try Mahaney's again when we are not feeling so rushed! read more

Don't blink--you'll miss this small place tucked into the corner of an unremarkable storefront. The breakfast was excellent on all fronts. The Irish bangers omelette was large, square and served piping hot. The price was really reasonable too--a specialty dish like this often costs much more. My server was attentive and genuine. Finally went back to Mahaney's again as I was heading to the BIG E in West Springfield. It was Wednesday around 10:00. NOT Busy. Ordered my egg white cheese omelet which was very good. My cousin ordered two blueberry pancakes. THEY WERE BIG. He could only eat one, took the other home for a future breakfast. He usually orders pancakes for breakfast. He said these were the best he had eaten in the last year. Prices very reasonable. Our bill was under. $17.00. Service was very friendly. NOT FAR FROM BRADLEY FIELD. I was really looking forward to checking this place out as it got great reviews but I was sadly disappointed. The home fries tasted like they had been reheated from a batch that had been made last week. I got the hash omelette and the hash tasted old as well, it had a tangy taste and the chunks of meat were chewy. We saw our waiter when we sat down and when we got our food, I had to go up and ask for silverware, straws, a side of ranch and our check. We love to go to small businesses for breakfast and we do so very frequently but I unfortunately won't be going here again. read more

Clean as a whistle! No greasy menus, no dust on the wood moldings. The breakfast menu was traditional breakfast fare (alas, no poached eggs) and was prepared with care. Toast was not over-buttered, and hash browns were recognizable potato pieces -- not over-salted or over-onioned. Yay! There have been several comments made about the home-made corned-beef hash. Everyone has a different opinion on this breakfast standard. My preference is for crispy edges -- Mahaney's hash is soft (flavorful, but more the texture of re-fried beans). Mahaney's is now our new breakfast choice when driving from CT to northern New England. read more
