Had some peppers ($$) left on a gift card, was in the area, and was kind of intrigued by recent ads touting Mike's Hot Italian subs, so.... I've known a few hot Italians in my day (an old girlfriend, Donna, definitely qualifies), but Mike's was different. Different, but very good. Kudos to the focus group that approved it. Ham, salami, pepperoni (please don't tell my doctor!) grilled w onions and provolone, on a bed of lettuce, tomato, and pepper relish. All on a rosemary roll. For $8.95 plus the ubiquitous CT meal tax. The combination worked, and the pepper relish kicked it up a notch. As mentioned before, props to JM for all that do for charity! Sandwiches came with none of what we asked to be put on the sandwich (mustard and pickles) and came with multiple things we asked to be taken off (onions, tomatoes, oil and vinegar) and they also made it with the incorrect bread. AWFUL. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME First off, this specific store, Enfield CT, is sooooo slow. The operation is so inefficient it causes extremely long wait times for both in person and mobile orders. There is only one slicer to service the large amount of mobile orders, which makes the line of in person customers have to wait even longer. The staff move at a snail's pace all the time. I've worked in the food service industry and I can tell you that this place needs employees that MOVE. It's unbelievable to watch them work at such a slow pace when there is a long line waiting. One reason why I even bother with this place is because they have Gluten Free rolls. I have Celiac and my options are usually limited so i do enjoy a nice grinder on a gluten free roll when I can. Tonight, 8/31/25, I waited in the store for 20 min until it was my turn, only to be told they didn't have any more gluten free rolls, they were all frozen. There was no sign posted to indicate this. I had never been in a Jersey Mike's before I had to wait in line. There was 4 people working I thought that was odd for close to 5pm. As I waited in line I looked around the place. I saw one person with a slicer and I watched them slice the thinnest possible piece a meat on a grinder and stacked the meat on everyone's grinder and the lettuce was warm and put on sparingly as the other vegetables. I took a bite of my grinder and everything tasted the same. I was disappointed. I think you can get a great grinder at half the price at Big Y with generous servings of veggies and meat. This establishment is consistently disorganized and has a serious issue with timing. I placed an online order for pick-up and, despite being only 10 minutes late, they hadn't even begun preparing my order. Food here is the same as it is at every location. However, this location is always so busy and the staff seems in over their heads- always a long line. Order online for convenience? Order online if you want to wait an hour. I have not seen them here since this incident. Another bad experience I had at Jersey Mikes in Enfield on Saturday July 12 First. Online order was suppose to be ready at 6:20pm got there at 6:25 not ready was time it would be 10 mins. Ok whatever. Waiting in the seating area someone came out to clean it thank had cuz it was disgustingly while he was out there apparently he needed something and instead of going to get it he felt the need TO YELL across the restaurant for Emma to bring him a rag. I got up to check on my order only to see the freaking disgusting mess all over the floor and the extremely unsanitary way the handled the online orders. Throwing subs , working on a small gross work area so many people doing absolutely nothing when they could have been helping with the orders or cleaning the disgust behind the counter. I don't think there was any one there over 18 I mean I could be wrong but no one appeared to be manager material. Don't bother filling out a comment card on their website. The manager will reach out to "make it right" only to ignore what you have to say and make excuses for an employee mistake. Foods good though just visit a different location. We came into the store with no line. We ordered 2 sub in a tubs, one cold sub and a steak and cheese. All but the steak and cheese were made immediately. That was not the case with the steak and cheese. That was not made until I asked how much longer it would be. The worker replied we can only fit so much on the grill. It was empty, the sandwich wasn't started until I asked. The workers then ignored me until it was done and offered no apologies or explanation on why it wasn't started when we ordered. read more

When I walked into Jersey Mike's recently, there were only two customers ahead of me on the line, but there were about five other customers in the front of the store, waiting to pick up their online orders. So the place was fairly busy. The store seems to operate as an assembly-line operation, with the first employee taking your order and then slicing the meat and cheese and putting it on the bread. Next, another person puts on the condiments (tomato, lettuce, mayo, etc.), and then wraps up the sandwich in paper. A third person mans the cash register. The problem is, that the second person could not keep up with the first person, creating a backlog of sandwiches ready to be completed. Part of the reason for this is because the employees were busy chatting or joking around with each other (about non-work-related stuff), and every time the the second person on the assembly line wanted to answer another employee, she would stop working and turn around to face whoever she was talking to at the time. In other words, she was not very focused on her job, and, therefore, took a longer time assembling the sandwiches. The most troubling thing, however, was the fact that while the sandwiches were being made, the employees placed paper receipts on top some sandwiches and on the cutting board. Sometimes food would fall and land on top of the receipts, and the worker just picked the food up and threw it back into the sandwich. The problem is that health experts have found that 93% of paper receipts are toxic thermal paper, coated with the chemicals bisphenol A (BPA) or bisphenol S (BPS), which our bodies can absorb when we come in contact with them with our hands. The same thing can happen when we ingest food that has been in contact with these receipts. Studies have shown that BPA is known to produce many harmful effects on health, including reproductive and developmental abnormalities, diabetes, thyroid conditions, and increased susceptibility to cancer. I seriously hope that Jersey Mike's will stop this practice of allowing paper receipts to touch food, or the hands of workers who are handling the food. Your customers' health is at stake. read more

I will not deal with this store again. If you want to order online and wait for 45 minutes in the store, go ahead and just wait in the store which is always crowded, and risk your Covid 19. The issue with this location is you don't know the quality of the sub you'll get when you walk thru the door. My friend got 2 BOGO offers -- one on June 10, the other on June 16. We both got turkey clubs (#8) to go both times. The 6/10 experience was solid - 4 stars - bread was fresh fresh and loaded with fillings. The 6/16 experience was just ok - 2 stars - sub was loaded with fillings but the bread seemed dry, not fresh. I wish this location would be more consistent with the quality of their bread. The food quality and good, but I've ordered online before and selected things like "no tomato" and "no cheese." What does the sandwich come with? Those things, of course. My wife ordered the California chicken cheese steak as a "bowl" and it looked like a small soggy pile of chicken, cheese, and sad lettuce. They also added mayo when she selected "no mayo." Tried this location out for the first time today (Saturday) ordered on the app, 45 minute wait. No problem, it's busy and apparently here in lovely CT this is the only eatery open. (sarcasm) so i arrive a few minutes after my 2:28 pm pickup. it's not ready, so i wait, and watch people come in stand in a long line and walk out and i still am waiting. finally the young lady tells me that they are out of white bread, do i want wheat? and finally about a half hour after i arrived i got my 2 subs. I didn't want to stand in line, but apparently you get better service that way. i will choose another location maybe in the future. This sucked...hot sandwich was cold and the cold sandwich was on wheat. and it all took 1 1/2 hours to complete. read more
