Stopped in for lunch after finding location via Yelp in Enfield Square Mall but they moved to next mall Where Home Depot is located on Freshwater Boulevard!! Told manager to make sure they readdress this location. Has outdoor seating ample parking but store itself is not their usual style. For ordering they had self use kiosk which didn't have pick two choice of soup and half sandwich. I had to ask attendant to get someone to take my order!! Cut two stars .. So I ordered my creamy tomato soup and half Mediterranean sandwich without Feta Cheese. It was done fast as I used my cellphone as returning customer. Gave five stars.. Sandwich was really done amazing see open view photo. Gave five star.. Seating was congested as being lunchtime. All good seating near windows were taken as well as booths. End up seating in middle row in cramped area. Restrooms are gender oriented. Clean 4stars.. The soup is overpriced, they appear to make all the money from the soup. "take two" combo makes you think you have a deal, but not really. Bowl of soup is $5.79, with the take two discount, $5,49 still. Such small soup is usually included for free in Asian restaurant's lunch special, may it be Cheng's garden, Coco Thai or other. My lunch came out over $17, a bit on the high side. Plus, there's no service, you take your food from counter just like McDonald's. So when the cashier gently hinted "finish payment starting with tip section", I selected no tip. But I am very disappointed that Panera has caved in on Canola oil for their new flatbreads. Do they not know that Monsanto uses the neurotoxin Hexane to extract the oil from the rapeseed? Do they not know Canola was developed to be resistant to Roundup? Panera used to have even their potato chips free of this bad oil. But now, it contains Canola. I see the billions Monsanto spends in lobbying and lawsuits, and I hoped for more from this, my favorite upscale fast food place. PLEASE re-consider. Popped in a random early November afternoon after doing some errands. It was a grilled cheese and tomato soup kind of day, and just warm enough to sit outside still, so that's what we did. It was 2-3pm, so we had the place almost completely to ourselves. The employees were attentive, courteous, and quick. While the restaurant looked very clean, we headed out to a tucked-away table nestled in a corner and out of any breeze. I didn't realize I ordered whole sandwiches for us, which made for a lucky day for my husband. I cannot eat that much sandwich, and ya know that grilled cheese isn't the best heat-up-later snack, so the man ate basically what I consider three sandwiches. Lol We both thought the bread could be a little more toasted, but it wasn't a huge turnoff. Lots of gooey cheese, kinda boring bread. Tasty-tangy tomato soup livened up the meal for me. Awful awful awful awful customer service. I'm a local who frequents this location often, usually it's fine. In general I think Penera is overpriced but the healthiest fast food option. Went through the drive through on a Saturday before a big road trip. Spent around $30 on lunch and realized about halfway down the highway the order was missing almost everything. No sandwich, no sides, you get the idea. I called and was informed to stop in when we got back to town for a complimentary meal on them. So on Tuesday night I went with my fiancé for dinner. The manager accused me of lying about the situation even though I explained the situation calmly. I understood that the situation was odd but I was told to come in. I've worked in food service so I get folks can take advantage. He offered to comp the meal but I must of misunderstood him because I was still charged $21. I was pretty embarrassed at this point so I just paid for the food. I was very unhappy with the whole situation and the manager did come to check on us which was very kind but I felt so uncomfortable. I told him my main concern was that I was put in a situation where I seemed like I was trying to take advantage. All he seemed to care about is that I said I was "happy". I just wanted to eat and leave as quick as possible. This had to have been one of the most uncomfortable "apology" meals I've ever had at any establishment. It just left Such a bad impression. I ended up spending $50 for almost nothing, I feel stolen from and also that these kinds of chains make our town a much worse place. $8.49 for a Turkey and Avocado plus BLT sandwich. The bread was very fresh and SOFT! It also comes with chips, baguette, or apple with a pickle spear. My only complaint is that one side of the sandwich had two bites (not big bites, regular size) of turkey, then there was no more on that side. This location was very busy during lunch, but there wasn't much of a wait at the counter to order and we had the selection of one of two open tables. We picked the one away from the crying kids. It took about 10 to 15 minutes for our name to be called to pick up our food. I haven't eaten at Panera all that often since first eating at a location in New Jersey about 10 years ago, but this experience will bring me back to the restaurant. Is it possible for Panera run out of bread? Apparently at this Panera it is. No rapid order at this location, and the holiday shopping season has made it unusually busy. Our wait for our food was a little longer than usual. I was highly disappointed with the amount if soup in my bowl. They must've been running out of this commodity as well, because I clearly got the bottom of the pot. There might of been six noodles in the soup. My boyfriend ordered half a sandwich and a cup of soup, and his sandwich was smaller than it usually is at other locations. It was hard to find a clean table, and many of the tables were empty. It appeared that they had not serviced the dining area in a while. It was after more than an hour that we saw someone servicing the room. We did appreciate being allowed to stay after closing well the crew was cleaning up. We stayed almost an hour after they had closed before we realized that the restaurant had shut down. Someone finally came to let us know that we had to leave. It was the one day that we really just wanted soup and bread, and that seem to be too much for this location on the day we visited. I love how Panera has a drive-through here. It makes it super convenient and quick to order food. My go-to is the egg souffle. My favorite is the spinach and artichoke one. The crescent breading on the outside is crispy and warm, while the inside is full of flavor from the egg and other ingredients (depending which souffle you get). These run out quick though (especially the spinach and artichoke one) so I'd order them ahead of time. Another one of my favorites is the chipotle chicken avocado melt. This sandwich literally melts in my mouth and has so much flavor due to the smoked gouda, peppers, and chipotle mayo. This is definitely a place I go to if I am looking for a quick and somewhat healthy breakfast/lunch (definitely healthier than a majority of drive-through food places). read more

Came here for a quick lunch, since Matthew had never been. I had the pick 2 combo--bistro french onion soup with a half steak and white cheddar panini. Soup was pretty good--I feel like french onion soup is very hit or miss, but this is a good one. My half panini was also very tasty. Matthew had the broccoli cheese soup and the turkey avocado BLT sandwich. We both didn't realize that it was a sandwich and not a panini, so that was slightly disappointing. He really liked the soup and would definitely get that again. As seems to be usual, service at Panera can be hectic the tables were a mess, and the prices are a bit high but it was a decent lunch. I don't know what clown is running this circus but there is zero leadership there. So usually I try to give good reviews when I have good interactions but tonight's service just sucked. So I order at the drive thru, and the woman tells me that my order is going to be a few minutes and to pull up front and park and they will bring it out to me. Pepperoni flatbread, corn chowder bread bowl, broccoli cheddar bowl and an avocado roasted turkey blt, a large Pepsi, and a large unsweetened ice tea. I received: a cold pizza with cheese not full melted, soup bread bowl (was good), broccoli cheddar soup, Pepsi, and an ice coffee. When I repeated again that it was a large unseewetend ice tea he said yeh that's a large unsweetened ice tea. It wasn't and I was tired of trying to explain it wasn't so I just left. It's a typical Panera, which means lousy service and good food. They dare you to go somewhere else. In a recent experience, we made a corporate order for a staff meeting. We used the web order to make sure everything was quick and done right. You point and click on the item so it's idiot proof. Right? Little things like, no onions resulted in plenty of onions. People who put the food together, just don't care. And the management I've dealt with over the years don't follow through and don't own the situation. Which is likely why orders are done so poorly. The service during the lunch rush was exceptional, both the food service as well as the representatives in front impressed me greatly. Specifically a young lady named Lilah, she handled a customer complaint before my very eyes with grace and didn't let the customer leave until she was completely satisfied. Even for a chain restaurant, I'm greatly impressed. Typically you get college students who don't care at all about the customers experience. In this case, Lilah was more than helpful. I enjoyed the process of putting in my order, and, even as I waited she continued to impress me. She handled multiple customers at once, without getting tripped up or flustered. Clearly she has her eye on the ball. With employees such as this, this panera will be my destination of choice when I'm in the area. read more

Anyways, this is one of my regular lunch spots given that they serve up good quality, delicious salads, soups and paninis any time. Panera is a welcome addition in the fast food, chain restaurant filled town of Enfield. Price point is slightly higher but is quite worth it for the higher quality of food they serve. This particular location is inside the Enfield shopping mall. It is crowded during lunch on most days. The customer service can range from rushed to outstanding depending on who is taking your order. My go to meal here is their salads, pasta or pick 2 with pasta and salad. I find the pasta dishes rich, flavorful and comforting. The portion size of the pasta runs small but it is perfect if you are counting your calories. The salads are always fresh and bursting with flavor. Ahhhh...that time as a Bay Path student in the early 2000s when this girl from the boonies was in awe of a place as cool as Panera. The sandwiches! The soups! The baguettes! It was like the coolest place to get food EVER! This particular Panera, honestly once a prominent staple in my college diet, is a shadow of its former self. I remember how it used to be bustling. Upon arrival one afternoon when I was in the area, I decided to get a quick bite there for ol' times sake. The place was empty, almost creepily so. It's not as homey as I remember it once being, almost a little sterile. The service was friendly and quick, but I felt the quality of the food overall has gone down. The French Onion soup used to be a succulent and cheese-covered delight; now it's a brown slushy salty stew with a few sprinkles of parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. I almost could not finish it, but at almost $6 for a bowl, I did. At least the baguettes are still as good and velvety as they used to be.
