I just saw this Panera in Stateline Plaza...you've moved! You have a drive up...great...I just stopped by to get a loaf of bread. I bought a loaf of Country Rustic Sourdough...that was it...just the one item. When I got to the window, the attendant said "$8.19 please"....I asked her to repeat that..."$8.19 please"...what, what, what? $8.19 for a loaf of bread? Really? My initial thought was...oh yeah, we are going to pay much higher prices for everything now...places of business will want to make back their "closed during the pandemic" loses ASAP. I bought the bread...I was a fool this once, but it will not happen again! I could only offer 3 stars (it should be more like 2-1/2 stars...offering a halfway point) because the bread is good, but the price, phew!...outrageous! Ahhhh...that time as a Bay Path student in the early 2000s when this girl from the boonies was in awe of a place as cool as Panera. The sandwiches! The soups! The baguettes! It was like the coolest place to get food EVER! This particular Panera, honestly once a prominent staple in my college diet, is a shadow of its former self. I remember how it used to be bustling. Upon arrival one afternoon when I was in the area, I decided to get a quick bite there for ol' times sake. The place was empty, almost creepily so. It's not as homey as I remember it once being, almost a little sterile. The service was friendly and quick, but I felt the quality of the food overall has gone down. The French Onion soup used to be a succulent and cheese-covered delight; now it's a brown slushy salty stew with a few sprinkles of parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. I almost could not finish it, but at almost $6 for a bowl, I did. At least the baguettes are still as good and velvety as they used to be. i really wanted to go to olive garden but we forgot to make our reservations a week in advance, so we ended up at panera bread. i had a grilled cheese sandwich and a coffee and somehow it cost $10. that's more than i have paid for super fancy nyc grilled cheese sandwiches and the panera version was far from delicious. stick with coffee here. read more

I recently moved back to Massachusetts and live very close to Enfield. Its always nice to see chain's that you recognize. I don't really like going to this location, not because it's a bad location. But the actually location of being in the Enfield Mall is really bad. Even their take our parking is a far distance from Panera. So if you just want to get something quickly, it still takes a bit of time. The staff is great! I was sick and wanted some chicken noodle soup. There is something about Panera's chicken noodle soup that makes me feel better. I asked them to heat it up, then I would be able to have hot soup at my house. They did exactly what I asked. Love Panera anywhere! I know I can always get a healthy option here for me and my daughter. That's saying a lot for this area, which is lacking in good, healthy, food options in a restaurant setting. I find everyone friendly and always willing to accommodate. I also like there are cozier spots with outlets, albeit few spots. It's a warmer place to study than a Starbucks. But other students are noticing as well. Bathrooms are clean and the noise level isn't as echo like as in Starbucks. Unfortunately, they close a little earlier than Starbucks. Panera is one of my go to lunch / dinner spots while traveling. Today was super fast service with my pick 2 meal ready before I even got my drink filled. Nice. This particular Panera is connected to the mall so there were a few too many teens hanging out during my visit. Only other semi-complaint is....bring back the old Panera club card. read more

If you are dining in, the service and food is great. However the past 3 times i've ordered food to-go i have gotten someone elses order or incorrect food. The receipt on the bag says what I ordered and is correct but the food in the bag is always wrong. Isn't there someone double checking these things? very disappointing. read more

It was an overall pretty awful experience. Ordering it food took forever and was super confusing. Waiting for our food want long, which was nice. BUT the food was pitiful to say the least. We got the lobster rolls which were soggy and unpleasantly squishy (because the we're frozen) and just were gross. I definitely don't recommend going inside to order. It's a mess. No one cleans anything between people touching it. I used to wonder how the drive-thru was so fast. The inside is sooo slow. If you come here, use the drive-thru to order unless you want to be waiting for forever just for an order that they probably messed up inside. The early morning management team is awesome! I came in just after they opened for the day for fresh bagels for the office. I only planned on getting a dozen and a half, but the manager and cashier ringing me up told me that because it was Tuesday and they had a special on a Baker's dozen bagels it would be more cost effective to go with 2 of those and get the cream cheese separate. I appreciate when management looks out for their customers to get them the best deals, even if it means a little more work for them. I wish I got her name, but everyone in this morning was cheerful, friendly, and moving quickly despite the bitter cold. read more

Honestly every time I come here I'm so aggravated. It's such poor service. Today my friend and I went here for lunch because the food (if (they get your order correct) is good. I got a soup and grilled cheese and asked for a large iced chai tea. The girl at the front Lindsay held up the size cup I wanted to confirm and I said yes that size. Then I said I wanted cinnamon on it and she just pointed to the self serve station and told me to do it myself. Far forward, I get a small chai tea with my order. The manager Michael takes it from me as I explained to him it needs to be a larger size (since I paid extra for it) and he runs in the back and grabs me another small and gives it to me and leaves. Not to mention my friend asked for a turkey sandwich and received a grilled cheese and asked for bacon Mac and got regular Mac. This place blows, the workers are dumb. I haven't been here in a while, and I won't be back soon! They eliminated the descriptions from the menu, and pressure you to order quickly. I ordered half of a roasted turkey kale panini, and she gave me a whole one, at $9.59! My son ordered mac & cheese because he doesn't like the panini choices, and they don't make it easy to modify their choices. My daughter got the bread bowl with chicken soup, and the greatly downsized bread bowl only holds about 4 oz. of soup now. I was extremely disappointed! I couldn't even find the chicken in my chicken flatbread. I spent $35 for a total of 3oz of chicken distributed between 2 sandwiches a bowl of soup and some chicken tortellini Alfredo that had deli turkey on top of it instead of chicken! This is definitelty the most happening spot in Enfield Square Mall! Always super clean, the staff is extra nice, and being a Panera card member gets you lots fo free food and drink. I ordered a tomato mozzarella flat bread, it was awful. It had stew tomato not fresh and a piece of cheese the size of a half dollar. It was not worth the money. My husband had the Italian sandwich which also was skimpy on meats. The soups were good. read more

They never get my order right my salads are always missing something either chicken or avocado two days ago my quinoa bowl didn't even have broth in it! I am not pleased! I purchased what I thought was a gift card for my husband. It turns out, it's a membership card! Why the heck do I need a panera membership card???? The cashier should have made it clear what she was selling me. Especially when I specifically requested a GIFT card!!! Before I start, I like some of the food at Panera. I do. But over the recent months maybe a year or two I noticed something terribly wrong with the store in Enfield. Lean forward so I can tell you... THERE'S NO FREAKIN' BAGELS!! I am not lying. They never have anything. What is there business model? Bread and bagels right? Oh, yeah stale sugary pastries but I learned not to get those a while back. Try going to Panera in Enfield within a half an hour after it opens and get a bagel. Try. Not going to happen. Oh, they'll have a few of their weaker version bagels but the top sellers will not be there. So you're standing in what is essentially a bagel shop at breakfast time and there's no bagels! Wow. Okay go at ten O' clock in the morning. Yup, if you want an obscure bagel like the asiago cheese one it's there but the French Toast bagel bin is empty like some others and will remain that way because they made like 6 at 7AM and sold em immediately. Okay, so now I have a bead on them. they make only a few bagels early in the morning but promise if you call and order on line and pay for it on line they will have the bagels ready for you the next day. I do this. My kids love the French toast bagels (we had them once in Rhode Island). I order 6. I say I will be in at 8:15AM the next day to pick them up. I arrive at 8:26AM and no bagels despite me paying for them. The manager acted like I showed up 5 hours beyond the deadline instead of 10 minutes. I could not believe it. They gave my bagels away because they make so freakin' few of them and then treated me like I was odd to expect to leave with bagels that I paid for the previous day! Of course there were no alternatives in the 90% empty bins aside from a handful of fruit filled bagels (no plain ones at 8;26AM - par for the course). So I got my refund and then since I was going to be in Manchester Ct later that day I called that branch and ordered 6 French toast bagels. The person taking the order seemed casual unlike the Enfield branch. I worried that if I wasn't there right at 11AM they'd give them away. He seemed so casual. I expressed this to the person taking the order and they laughed and said the order will be there. I showed up close to noon and the order was there. My god. THEN what was truly crazy they had bagels in their bins. It was noon and they were stocked with every kind of bagel. It felt like the Twilight Zone after dealing with Enfield branch. I don't know if there is no baker in Enfield or no budget but I called their corporate line to complain and also compliment the Manchester branch. They said they would get back to me. They never did. I never ever went back to the Enfield branch. Just ridiculous. I talk to people who like Panera and they agreed there's never bagels in the Enfield one unless you get there at opening. When I ask why they still go there they glaze over like a spell was cast. They seem to keep going back despite no product and have been conditioned to think nothing of it. How do you sell out of plain bagels by 8:01AM and seem to have no plan on making a next batch? Oh, but you can get 2 day old Danish and a loaf of sour dough or a cookie that has more grams of sugar then 4 cans of soda and tastes exactly like that. read more

Generally I have very good experiences at Panera Bread - but almost never at the Enfield one, where I've experienced: items being suddenly unavailable 15 seconds after having ordered & paid for them (several times), getting the wrong order (twice), unavailable items (many times), a rude/uninformed cashier (arguing with me over a discount on my receipt), a food preparer flinging food across the prep area, and other experiences that I must have blocked out.
